  1. As are her braids, and her hair which has never been cut as she's never been defeated. Daenerys has never let go of her Dothraki days. I've long held the theory that Drogon was born of Drogo's life (death pays for life, Mirri was chanting as she was burned and dragons were born and delivered Rhaego covered in scales..) and that he heard her plea from his catatonic state and simply did what he said he'd done in the House of the Undying: Daenerys: "That sounds like something you would do." Drogon only abandoned her once... when she was fixin' to throw her dragons into captivity (how was he supposed to help her locked in a dungeon?!)... but he went to chill in her hometown and came back for her when she was really losing control: after the former slaves' riot against her, and again when the Sons of the Harpy attacked in the fighting pits. And what'd he do when she could finally get on his back? Dropped her off a stone's throw from a Dothraki horde so she could be taken to Vaes Dothrak... where he had every confidence she'd win herself an army. Once she had them, he returned to her again. In a way, he kept his promise of an army to take the IT. Regardless of what happens with Daenerys, Drogon will be with her. (I get it, my dude. When you find a really good one...) **Oh, don't look at me like that. If we can believe in dragons, we can believe in Twu Wuv.**
  2. I hope they paid for the extra rental insurance...
  3. I would go so far to say none of it- the bad or the good- would have happened had she not lost a child (or almost been poisoned by the wine merchant.)
  4. Next time someone asks to borrow money I'm going to redirect the conversation to how much phone battery they have remaining. Masterful, Jason. These grapes pair well with this episode.@PrincessPurrsALot
  5. In this conversation between Varys and Tyrion before the Blackwater, both the bells and escaping from Kings Landing are spoken about. "I've always hated the bells. They ring for horror, a dead king, a city under siege." + "The map you asked for." "There must be 20 miles of tunnels underneath the city!" "Closer to 50. The Targaryens built this city to withstand a siege, and to provide escape if necessary." Did Daenerys know Kings Landing was so well-suited to an escape with its underground tunnels full of wildfire? Were these some of the bedtime stories Viserys told her? Could that be why the bells set her off? She knew a surrendering Cersei could have easily been on her way out of KL by the time the bells were rung, so lighting up the city and all of the wildfire caches would ensure her enemy's demise. Those who got in the way unfortunately got in the way. Not saying it's right, but it's a potential motive.
  6. Everything but the Kingsroad Inn.. Let Hot Pie inherit Westeros.
  7. In his pleather suit, no less. Michael Phelps watch the fuck out. You know how squishy it would sound every time he took a step...?
  8. The North loves Sansa and would support any campaign she ran- and it's a pretty clear anti-Daenerys campaign Sansa's chosen. As far as Daenerys is concerned, this (packaged with the recent loss of Jon's affections) is enough to feel the North is willing to turn against her.
  9. That was the deal until those who had bent the knee started conspiring against her. Now her time in the North has left her isolated and she has no one to talk her out of using her dragon - so use him she did. Tyrion's now directly or indirectly caused the deaths of his mother, father, sister and brother.
  10. Considering the circumstances under which the arrangement was made and the fact that Bronn has no contract ethics, I don't see Tyrion feeling the need to pay his Lannister debts to him. Bronn: You said you'd give me Highgarden. Tyrion: But what if I don't?
  11. It wasn't enough in the North, where despite her dragon and Dracarys'ing plans were in motion to unseat and/or kill her.
  12. It's unfortunate she didn't have an advisor like you. See- the ones she had were all dead, proven incompetent, or trying to kill her.
  13. Oh okay, so you think she should have just run away. I disagree. Abandoning her army seems a poor choice for a conquering Queen who has every ability to take over Westeros as intended.
  14. She's going to be overthrown as a direct result of what she did at King's Landing, not in spite of it. I think you missed my objective. I was replying to your assertion that "Cersei burning the sept was an act of self-preservation but Dany burning KL was not." Dany absolutely burnt KL to retain her power and position via instilling fear in her subjects. The only way for Daenerys to stay alive at this point is by retaining her power and position. Self-preservation.
  15. And when she's overthrown for all the reasons I described, what do you suppose happens to Daenerys and Drogon? Thanked for their assistance with the AotD and sent on their merry way?
  16. Daenerys sees burning KL as a necessary evil, an act of self preservation. Her advisor was trying to kill her, at the advice of her Hand as far as she knows. Her Hand has freed his traitorous brother to continue his mission of helping their sister escape (we don't know if Daenerys knows this or not.) Her lover's sisters are actively trying to overthrow her. Her lover doesn't want to kiss her anymore because he's her aunt, but it's not in her nature to understand why. She's just lost her oldest friend, her closest confidante, thousands of her soldiers and two of her children. She is alone, but she is the last dragon. Daenerys burnt KL as a message to those who would betray her: Let it be fear. She made sure the Starks will think long and hard before pursuing their anti-Daenerys agenda because if KL can go down in 20 minutes, shitty-ass Winterfell should only take 10.
  17. Remember when that little shithead banned TbC, effectively condemning his mother to death... Truly Myrcella was the only good one.
