I’d rather have an Astaire/Rogers of Marx Brothers festival than That’s Entertainment. I’m rather disappointed in TCM’s line up over the last few months, especially the choices of holiday movies.

I saw this over the weekend and in the words of Blaine Edwards and Antoine Merriweather “hated it.” It was so stagey. There really was no mystery. Not one likable character, most likely intentional, and Daniel Craig was ridiculous with that southern accent. The scene with the rants about illegal immigrants was so obvious and trite. I hated this movie.

Eric looks like and dressed like PeeWee Herman.

I know every word to every song of The Music Man. However, Ursala Kitteh was not amused when I did "Trouble." She jumped off the ottoman and stalked to her food dish. Seems to be a lack of holiday movies on TCM. They are running "Holiday Affair" like it was "A Christmas Story." I watched HA once. Not appealing at all.

I knew Kirby would be a one and done. I had no clue as to FJ! even though I can't even remember the answer.

I answered The Barber of Seville for FJ! Clearly I know nothing about opera.

Bunch of dim bulbs. Teen Tournament had smarter contestants. And yes, wrong to say “birds of prey” and “light opera” were correct. How is birds of prey from Latin?

I hated the Disney category. I can’t stand anything Disney, and that category was a time suck. Instaget FJ! On a shallower note, I loved Elise’s dress.

Really. The game should have been canceled due to stupidity.

I like James, I like Francois. I’m meh on Emma. Neither like nor dislike her. I’ll be happy with any of them as champion, although I’m pulling a little bit more for Francois. I thought Lindsay was going to win last night based on the J! round, but Francois quietly steamrolled ahead.

I have never heard of that Italian scientist. Good thing I wasn’t a contestant on today’s show. Yes, bilateral salpingo etc is removal of ovaries and Fallopian tubes, both sides. I always knew Gilbert was a class act.

I have been known to use the phrase “be that as it may, Alex” but nobody gets it. Today my comment of “a note from Epstein’s mother” was received with blank stares.

How cute that James’ daughter calls him Papa??? For a nanosecond, I thought Alex would announce there would be no FJ! due to the game being a runaway.

I parsed the author was Kipling, it had no idea about the character. IMHO, it’s a given that James will be a finalist. Is there a possibility another contestant could beat him for the title? No dissing James. This is all about odds and capability of the others.

I didn’t understand that either. I’m amazed that James’ breath of knowledge extends to knowing Pa Ingalls’ first name.

I spent Sunday in the ED with bronchitis. The inability to breathe has left me kinda brain dead so this ToC is definitely harder than usual games. Few missed questions today, but as soon as I said that, James and Alan missed the question and Lindsey didn’t ring in....

Do the bakers bring their recipes, or are they just winging it?.. I’ve not seen anybody have a printed recipe at their bake station.

Lots of TS in today’s game. I did not get FJ! even though I knew the answer whe revealed. Then again I’m home after being in the ED for bronchitis. My brain isn’t working on all cylinders. I so like Gilbert.

David was introduced on the first episode as being a public health worker. It wasn’t specific to nursing though. I did get the impression from the finale interview with Steph’s mom that the previous year had been emotionally tough for Steph.

My entire knowledge of Vichy comes from the movie Casablanca. Got FJ! by the skin of my teeth. Won’t be watching today. Jamie pranced and threw her head around like a nervous filly.

I knew it wasn’t Sam Spade. He wasn’t married. I’m couldn’t think of any other detectives from that era despite having seen The Thin Man a bazillion times. Parents owning a lumber mill did NOT lead me anywhere. Pre guessing the answer? I said Rhett Butler or Scarlett O’ Hara because Jeopardy! loves GWTW, as do I.
