  1. Queen deep cut? I missed it, which one was it?
  2. I was watching this with my celiac afflicted 12 year old, and she was wishing there would be some kind of show (not necessarily kids baking) where they have to make gluten free baked goods because good ones are so hard to find. But if they aren't making allowances for nut allergies, I guess that's a long way off.
  3. I do that too, except it does hurt to stand on the ladders with bare feet. What I have always wondered is, how come those designers never get paint or anything on their clothes? I could not begin to paint a wall and not end up with something on either me, my hair, or whatever I'm wearing. How do they do it, if they indeed do more of the painting than is shown? Also makes me wonder how those HO's always look so put together. If I was doing that show, I'd be a sweaty, sloppy mess with paint in my hair but they always look like they just got out of the shower.
  4. Does anyone know what they do with the furniture that comes out of the room and doesn't go back in? I thought their old couch looked way more comfortable than the one Ty bought. I also thought it funny that the room was supposed to be set up for family board games, and the tiny table at the other end had three uncomfortable looking chairs at it.
  5. Hello everyone, I just wanted to comment on a couple of products I saw on Shark Tank that I really like. The first is the Frywall. I was never going to get one because I thought they were too expensive, but then I saw them on Amazon for 24 dollars. I have to say, it made a huge difference, and I liked the 12 inch one so much I got a 10 inch for use with my cast iron skillet (after searing some steaks which made a huge mess on the stove). Great product, easy to clean and store, and not hard to use. Love it. The second product is one that did not get a deal, the Bed Jet. The guy was kind of obnoxious on the show, Lori got mad at him, and he really just seemed like kind of a jerk. However, I have a terrible problem sleeping due to night sweats. I was keeping the A/C on 65 and freezing my family, while still waking up terribly hot. So I looked into this thing, which was just so expensive. I thought though, if it fixed my issue it would be worth it. I saw that the owner of the company, who had been on Shark Tank, personally addressed every review on Amazon that was less than 3 stars. Finally, when tax season came around, my refund was magically the same price that the company was selling the Bed Jet for (on sale). So I took the plunge and got one. My husband said, don't bother with the dual version for the king size bed (795 as opposed to 300). But the king size dual version came with the air comforter sheet, which kind of blows the air into your bedding uniformly, and that is 100 more dollars in and of itself. So I got it. And I love that thing so much. I haven't woken up hot in weeks. My husband, surprisingly, loves it too, for the heat function. So does my 11 year old, who is now begging for one (which she isn't getting lol). I just wanted to say how much I love it, and since Amazon won't let me write a review for it since I bought it directly from the Bed Jet site (where they were having a sale and had the 60 day return policy, which is only 30 days if you buy from Amazon), I wanted to just put it here. I knew within a week I didn't need the 60 days to decide I was keeping it. I even bought another air comforter to have as a spare when the other is in the laundry. Truly, it is an awesome product. Very quiet, very efficient. And now I keep the air at a balmy 72 at night, which is cool enough to keep me from getting too hot with the Bed Jet running, and not so cold everyone else is miserable. So I'm sure it will save on my power bills too. Totally worth it! The only thing about it I don't like is the hoses on the sides, but eventually I'll find a floor length bedspread to hide them. But I'll take the slight eyesore for being able to sleep at night. It is so awesome. Anyway, just wanted to put this out there, in case anyone thinks it might help them. It has really changed my life and I look forward to sleeping in comfort every night (and the heat works great too-- you can set it to run the heat just long enough to warm up, and then change to the cool air later when the night sweats normally attack).
  6. Yeah see, I don't like that answer, because if he could just borrow the money from Jared, then why steal treasure to pay her? Then Ian wouldn't have been kidnapped, etc etc. Maybe he could have gone to work for Jared. But then, there wouldn't be any adventures on ships or ending up in the Colonies, so whatever. I rolled my eyes a lot when reading this part of this book.
  7. Is anyone else wondering where Jamie got 20 pounds sterling to purchase the slave?
  8. It was okay for me. Why on earth is Claire still not responding to Jamie when he makes these big declarations? She just went through all that for him and when he's telling her how much he loves her she has nothing to say? Thought that was just really weird. And the jungle stuff was too long. I told my husband she really needed to stop sleeping after the snake haha.
  9. Wouldn't it be funny if someone did show up claiming to be LRH returned so they could live in that big house? Of course, they would have to come up with a good reason for being 10 years late. What would Miscavige do with that, I wonder?
  10. Colum told her on his deathbed about Geillis. Also, he told her who they gave the baby to, that's how she figured out Roger was related.
  11. I just don't know. I haven't liked this season much, even though I had such high hopes and wanted to. It started with the first episode and the homoerotic ending of black Jack. I thought it was over the top and unnecessary. Then we had all the caveman stuff and changes to Frank. The only episode I have really liked is Helwater. I will keep watching but I have been really disappointed with the season so far.
  12. Yes exactly! They didn't even hug before they started making out! I'm no prude either but I had that exact thought when I read Sam's tweet.... It should be melodramatic, this is a drama after all. I wouldn't have cared if he didn't break down sobbing, I just didn't think he conveyed what he thinks he did. I did like it overall but it wasn't my favorite episode by far, and I was hoping it would be. PS I agree about the time travel reveal too.... Sniffling on the log didn't have the same impact. But that didn't bother as much as this one does.
  13. Yeah, but I meant he didn't seem excited to see Bree when he said that. While he was looking at her pictures. He looked like something was going on, sure, but it didn't come across to us as overwhelming emotion, which is why I think Sam missed the mark on whatever he was trying to do (and I think he gets it absolutely right most of the time, not a slam on him at all). And of course my husband doesn't think about this stuff nearly as much as I do, and he is a guy who isn't the most observant when it comes to things like that. He just said it seemed off, because he didn't seem as awed by the pictures as he would have thought.
  14. I just wanted to add my (probably unpopular) opinion on the photo scene. I'm okay with Sam trying to go for internalized "falling to pieces". I just don't think he quite managed it. I say that not only because of my impression of the scene, but also of my non-book reader husband who flat out said something to the effect of "wow he doesn't really seem all that excited to see her". Even knowing how overwhelmed he was, my husband just thought it came across like he was pretty nonchalant about it. I wouldn't go that far, but I do think something was missing, and like others, it probably would have been much better if he hadn't interrupted Claire talking about Bree to tell her about Willie right that second. My second unpopular opinion is that they could have either cut one of the three sex scenes or shortened the first one to give us more of the emotional stuff before going straight to doing it.
  15. I have noticed it in many other episodes. Oddly enough, I didn't notice it in this one. But even going back to the wedding episode when she is standing in her bare feet I thought they were turned in a bit.
