  1. When we came back from commercial and were waiting for the clue to be revealed, there were three different contestants! It was the final jeopardy from many weeks ago. Was that just here in my neck of the woods? I was able to answer the question but I doubt that I can count it for this week's contest!
  2. Was it just my imagination, or did they start with the woman away from the host to ask the first question, rather than the person in the nearest spot? Sorry I don't remember any of their names - but I know Mayim called on the person farthest from her first, didn't she?
  3. 1 of 5 this week - because I am old enough to remember when we were told not to trust anyone over 30 and obviously too old to remember much else that came up last week.
  4. 2 of 5 this week. But I did like my answer about the movie quote: all I could think of was Disney movies and so I said What's up Doc? And I knew Harper Lee but that was it.
  5. 4 of 5 for me, with however many * I'm entitled to. I didn't get today's answer but knew all the others.
  6. I can't find the actual questions for last week, but I got Scream, Eagle, and G.I. Joe. I didn't know the astronomer or the country for the Dutch speakers. So 3/5.
  7. 3 of 5 for this week, but would appreciate getting partial credit for Frost. No *.
  8. 2 of 5 for me. I couldn't think of the title Lady Marmalade even though I tried so hard. But I guess I shouldn't have bothered.
  9. Folks are talking about how "standoffish" Lucille and Cyril are, but isn't it primarily because the actors are having to be separated because of filming during Covid? I mean, it's so obvious in all of the scenes that everybody is being filmed away from another person - I just thought this is true of those two as well. Even when all of the nurses/sisters were sitting down to eat in last night's episode, nobody was sitting next to anybody else - all spread out.
  10. I can credit my baseball-loving father, mother, and brother for my being able to get FJ yesterday! At first I said Dizzy Dean but corrected myself in time.
  11. 3 of 5 for me, please. No *. Thanks!!
  12. Hey, thanks for the award! I missed yesterday's FJ but got today's; I'll have to get all the others this week to keep up the pattern!
  13. Three of my husband's dog guides were labs and all of them, plus our pet dogs, were all allowed on the furniture. My "heart dog" (the one that got me into the world of working with lab clubs and thus to many lab specialties) was Buddy, a yellow lab who was found on a farm in Iowa with a shattered leg and buckshot wounds. The folks who found him couldn't afford the money to treat him so they posted on Lab-L (at the time!) and folks started donating money to help him. He ended up having his front leg amputated and after recuperating for about 6 months, he was ready to be adopted and we were the lucky ones chosen to adopt him! He lived to be about 11. Sweet, sweet dog and opened me up to a new world of people and dogs. Still miss him every day. Does this go better under "small talk" than here? I wasn't sure.
  14. After reading and digesting your posts about the term "rescue" it makes sense that you didn't "get" my name. But it's one I typically use. Oh, and will you please give me one M* for knowing locusts in week 2? Thanks!
  15. Yes, it's true I'm a dog person. Several ways, including that my late husband was blind and relied on dog guides from The Seeing Eye. My name here reflects my years spent involved with a nonprofit online organization back in the late 90s early 2000s that raised money to treat labs that were found injured or ill and needed medical treatment before they could be adopted. No longer in operation because online is much different than it was back then. Current pooch is Louis, a lab mix I've had for just over a year. Thanks for the welcome, everyone!
  16. I've been watching y'all for a while now and think I'd like to join in, please. I am 1/5 week one, 2/5 week two, and 3/5 week three. I sense a pattern! I hope it's not too late to play!
  17. Thank you for this. I didn't know that her hand was because of polio. And I enjoyed seeing the footage from years ago.
  18. I don't know exactly why, but I think the Fashion Show was unnecessary and just didn't fit in. It might be because I've been binge watching past seasons and am having to watch this one so slowly (an episode a week), but felt like a complete waste of time and took me completely out of the work of the women. I did like that the woman was able to get a lovely sari - but the show itself just seemed like so many sitcoms where they throw in a talent show or school play or some such just as a change of scenery. I guess the actresses do get tired of always wearing their uniforms, but there are other ways they could show us their "real" clothes than taking so much time away from their work.
  19. I have started recording whatever comes on at 11:30 but didn't stop recording the 5:00 one so on Thursday I was first upset that the 11:30 recording was not Jeopardy! but then I checked the 5:00 and got to see the double Jeopardy! round. But then on Friday, it wasn't on either time so grrrr. So frustrating.
  20. Oh, bless you! I am not watching the press conferences so don't see the ticker. I really appreciate your looking into this. Thank you!
