  1. I am glad you mentioned Jenna, DCCFan. I have never been a fan of hers. It seemed like her family uprooted themselves in order to pursue her dream. That, to me, smacked of complete selfishness, especially since she has a sibling. Reiner was really off put by her look during the judging process. Now that she has allegedly embarrassed herself, maybe in hind sight those judges should have listened up and kept her off the team. She is not all that. I think Holly is one of the best dancers on the squad, but obviously her level of maturity needs improvement. Maybe her quitting the team was a way to save face. I am willing to wager that JennaHollygate gets swept under the rug and not mentioned.
  2. No...I laughed too! My first thought was, "Dang it! I am hungry. Now I want chicken!"
  3. No!! :( I was hoping Brennan would have made it. :(
  4. Anthony Ramos was OK. At least he was not completely obnoxious, but I will agree he was stealing a little spotlight from the ladies. As an antidote to this, I hope we hear more from the hair stylist judge. He is a complete riot! I am almost half wishing Mulissuh gets knocked up again with a side order of bad morning sickness because she has worn out her welcome. Bring back Megan Fox. She would make a great showmanship mentor/coach.
  5. I was somewhat disappointed in this first episode. It was so formulaic. "EVERYBODY wants to be a DCC!" "This has been my dream!!!" "I am so excited/nervous/can't wait!" "It is all about big Texas hair and sparkle!" Yes.....OK.... we get it. They had the same judges as they have had in year's past....where was Neal? I hope he shows up for the semis and finals. He is my favorite judge, by far. The other ones can just ride off into the sunset. When the lady with long, dark hair opened the gates, my first thought was, "Oh, no!! Where is Phil?" Much to my relief.....there he was! Loved the mother/daughter Sister Sledge salute. More original moments like that on this show would be much appreciated. And Melissa needs to lay off the lip gloss and leave some behind for the rest of us. That stuff was an inch thick. I am gunning for Christina and Brennan. Irritated that Whitney decided to defy K and J and show up again. The Taiwanese Dr. tried out again. I am reading her book which is interesting, but girlfriend needs to hang it up. At this point, she is embarrassing herself.
  6. As mentioned a bit upthread re: Kaime, I felt bad for her. They put her into the middle of training camp by giving her the impossible task to catch up. Then when she got to semis, the girl next to her pulled her down enough to where she had problems kicking. It's like she was unfairly saddled down with too many obstacles, and in the end it worked to her disadvantage.
  7. When one of the Minchew's wanted back, Judy took a really dim view of her return. I don't think either sister would have been a fit for the squad. They were overly rehearsed and phony from having competed in one pageant too many. I don't think either one of them were able to separate pageant life/personality from real life/personality.
  8. I have seen photos of Amy A, and I don't know. I think she is a butterface with a poofy nose. ITA about the Trevino sisters. Crystal looked almost cross eyed and Trisha just isn't a pretty girl. She's photogenic, I'll give her that regarding her cameo photo....but in video not so much. The one I am most surprised made it was Kaitlyn Rae. I really think she made it on looks alone. I hope Ashley Pro re auditions and I also hope that Breelan does, too. In Ashley's case, I think she needs both a little bit more in the way of maturity and self confidence. It annoyed me that Breelan came back to auditions performing and looking like she did. Not at all sorry to see Jasmine go. That whole annoying Jasmine/Danielle thing going on was over played and over worked. Plus, she sucked at the auditions.
  9. I really disliked the fact that Melissa was in the locker room post game with Amy to congratulate her on making the squad and completing her first game. SO annoying!!!! Let her enjoy her moment with her girls!!! I am hoping if there is a next season, Melissa is not there. I liked her when she was a cheerleader, but in this complete other realm as a judge/mentor, she is not as likeable. It's as if she is trying super hard to relive her days as a DCC when that part of her life has already passed by. Over all, color me not so impressed with this season. All of our "girls" we've been following since 2006 are pretty much all gone and the new cheerleaders just don't grab my attention like the ladies from the 2006-2012 squads did.
