S09.E12: The Ultimate Ultimatum
Beachdreamer replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I don't like the Kemsleys much, but I actually have a sneaky feeling PK understands that all this began with an error on their part as far as the dog, and that his wife is going too far with it all. It's nothing he has said outright, but just a feeling I have. I think there is some desperation there that may have money and power undertones over losing this friendship, but I also think he gets that all of this is really stupid and overblown, and that the first one to step wrong here was Dorit/PK. -

Why would Edwin own an RV with a giant decal on the side advertising Skyline- whatever that is. I call BS. It's rented. -

Well, Kyle couldn't remember Lisa's grandmother, Nanny K, so Kyle not hearing of PK is hardly evidence of anything. The talking head where she implies the Todds and Kemsleys are hiding each other's secrets is also not compelling. They've clearly known each other for years and for some people that really means something. Also, pick a lane, Kyle. Have they known each other for enough years to hide some old secret, or are they brand new on the scene because she never heard of them before 2 years ago. -

Oh how I wish that was what she said, but I rewatched it- because I wanted to see that amazing moment. I would have loved it if that had been what she said. Unfortunately, I did not see it. What I saw was her saying, "It's all based on your (bleep)ing wife and you giving up your (bleep)ing dog." -

Kyle has serious anxiety- at least according to Kyle. And I have no reason to doubt that. What I do doubt, is that someone with THAT level of anxiety, allowed her family and her expensive and prized possessions to be moved into a home before the security system was ready. I fully believe it was an insurance scam. -

Teddi remains my biggest disappointment. The world of horse show jumping is teeming with money, scandal, opulence, and more. I thought she would bring some of that to the show, but so far I'm completely bored with her sterile house (view is awesome, but the minimalist decor doesn't make for interesting TV) her entertaining- potluck and RV trips- and most of all, I don't want to watch her or anyone exercise. And I'm really tired of her bitchiness. -

Two seasons ago Kyle was BFFs with Erika and they went to Greece together. I don't remember ever seeing her ask Erika if she felt safe on stage. Basically, even though it was only Boy George, hanging out in the dressing room with the performer after the show is the kind of fabulousness most of us don't get in real life and tune in to reality TV to watch. Thanks for ruining the moment Kyle. -

Does anyone on this show have a filter? Or a brain? Or a working memory? Kyle was in the middle of telling Boy George he should be afraid someone is going to hurt him when he performs. Of course PK got pissed. Any manager would, let alone one whose entire lifestyle depends on BG performing. Of course, PK opens his mouth and it becomes clear that he does not understand all that has gone on in the women's fight, or even remember what he and his own wife have said on camera. Teddi jumps in to point out what PK said - does she seriously not remember she started this whole thing? Seriously? -
S09.E09: A Wolf In Camille’s Clothing
Beachdreamer replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I don't know if the producers are putting the women in their place, or if the other women are as legitimately as un-fabulous as they seem this season, but scenes without Lisa V include multiple types of yoga, PK's diabetes, Harry Hamlin's TENT vacation, Camille ordering food by saying, "Just bring us some things to munch on," and I could keep going but I'm boring myself. RHOBH is supposed to be over the top fabulous, outrageous, expensive and INTERESTING! They are failing on all levels. Even Erika, whose weird glam squad took wedding day off so she could arrive in a QVC jumpsuit, is boring this season. Kyle is the only one bringing any level of glam- at least she showed us a nice hotel suite in DC and some food porn at her dinner with Mauricio and at her pool party- with that mile long charcuterie board. As for the rest of them, at this rate I expect next week's episode to follow them as they shop at Costco for groceries and a couch. I no longer give a damn who dumped a dog, or talked about dumping a dog, or wrote about dumping a dog, or lied about dumping a dog or lied about writing about dumping a dog.....or any of it, for crying out loud. Show me some Beverly Hills fabulous soon, Bravo, or I'm off to watch Netflix. -
S09.E08: Showdown at Villa Rosa
Beachdreamer replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Lisa Rinna is a pot stirring viper, but I think she actually knows this about herself. Least self-aware award has to go to Teddie, who says at the lunch with great sincerity, "You have to know, when it comes to things happening to animals, the amount of people who are going to come at you and attack you is beyond." She says this as if it's validation that LVP is horrible, with seemingly no genuine awareness of the fact that she is responsible for the story coming out, and then growing larger. Also, upon rewatching this episode, I noticed 2 things. -Dorit's eyes look inhuman. They are impossibly dilated and surround by more eye white than usual- which is a lot. A sign of lying? A sign of drug use? Fake eyeballs? I have no idea, but something is seriously weird with her eyes at that luncheon. -Rinna, who I think is most capable of planting that article and stirring up crap for other people without batting an eye, drops her mask twice during that lunch. The first time is when Dorit fake cries and Rinna looks for a minute at her with what I interpret as a look that matches the internal thought, "oh god you're a terrible actress." The second look is a little harder to interpret, but the look she gives Kyle when Kyle says LVP is the only one who would benefit from the article. To me, it looks like she just had a light go on that Kyle is doing or saying something shady. For these reasons, I'm going to say it surprisingly probably wasn't Rinna. I assume she's loving every minute of it, but I think it wasn't her. -

I think they all manipulate stories, angles and etc to a certain degree. I pretty much think anyone on camera is going to do it to some degree. They're trying to make themselves look good and stay on top of the game. It's literally their job. I think a lot of Lisa's manipulations boil down to talking about big things off camera with people, and attention seeking housewives are eager to claim the spotlight by introducing the topic on camera. If Munchausen had worked out well for Rinna, I doubt we'd see her sheepishly admit, "Well, I didn't even think of it. LVP did." Same with doggy gate. If this had gone well for Teddi, I don't think we'd see the queen of accountability telling everyone they could look at her John Blizzard texts. -
S09.E07: Eat, Drink, and Be Married
Beachdreamer replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I actually don't think LVP was behind the Radaronline story, but if she was, she wouldn't call them directly. She would have someone else do it. So Radaronline saying it isn't her is rather meaningless. I think it wasn't her. but it isn't because they say so. I think going back to the time it all happened, LVP was initially at a minimum, present for and involved in a conversation with someone at VPD and was probably fine with the story coming out- one way or another. I'm not saying she orchestrated it, maybe she did, maybe she didn't- just that there was a time when she was ok with it, and that it was well in advance of the Thursday filming. I think Ken nixed the idea, and Ken told VPD not to do it. The John's didn't know how serious he was or didn't care and advanced it. I think Rinna would want us to talk about it if the tide was against LVP. Since it isn't strongly against her, I think Rinna wants us to drop it because she's not part of the story. (We all know she should be-but on camera and in the news, she isn't) And that's the real irony here- the people who suffered the most are not Dorit or LVP. It's Teddi and Kyle, who the fans have turned on and Erika and Rinna, who have become non-entities in the story. -
S09.E06: Fifty Shades Of Shade
Beachdreamer replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
The thing that the women on shaky ground (Dorit, Teddi, Denise- she gets it) and to some degree the others, Kyle, Erika and Rinna need to find a way to separate is- Are you here for friendship, or are you here for a reality TV paycheck? Because those interests are not always aligned. Viewers want a lot of different things, but sincere friendship isn't one of them. We can all pretend it is, but the ratings prove differently. -

YES! Teddi would have been better off hiring someone to coach her on how to plan for being on a reality show, rather than a therapist afterward to help her deal with the fallout. Having the entire world watch and pick apart your actions requires some serious fortitude. And probably should require some serious planning. Teddi is allowing her emotions to run her entire season, the predominant one seeming to be frustration. -

Lisa said to stop that day at VP dogs, and Teddi didn't. (what came before that becomes almost irrelevant) Teddi went forward with the story, and blames Lisa that she did. This would be like if one of her clients was in a house with a cupcake. Someone else made the cupcake. But the client decides to eat it. The baker says, don't eat it. But the client eats it. Then the client feels shame, remorse, thicker around the middle- whatever- and blames the baker. I have to assume an accountability coach would explain that you are going to spend your life surrounded by tempting food, and you'll have to learn how to be responsible for making your own smart choices about what to eat. -

Beachdreamer replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
If Teddi thought LVP wanted her to bring the story out on camera, then was surprised when LVP shut it down on camera, why didn't Teddi ask her friend LVP WHY that happened. Off camera, of course. It's clear from all of their subsequent on camera interactions that didn't happen. Why didn't Teddi ask her friend John Blizzard why it was shut down by LVP. Off camera or through texts. I don't think Teddi immediately that day at VP dogs thought she had been set up by Lisa, so why didn't she ask Lisa and John why Lisa had attempted to shut down the story. Why didn't she wonder if Lisa would be pissed at her for overriding her and going ahead with it? -

Beachdreamer replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I want to like Teddi and I want to see a lot more horseback riding on the show, but she really blew it here. Whether it was Lisa, John Blizzard, or the gods of reality TV, she was handed a golden story line that could have propelled her reality TV career by increasing her fan base, and propelled her Accountability Coach career, by successfully holding a castmate-Dorit- accountable for their actions. If she spent any time at all reading forums like this, social media comments, and blog posts and watching past shows what she would have learned is that -LVP manipulates is not a winning story line. -Fans love dogs. A lot. A really really lot. Attach a dog to your story line and you are good to go. Be a champion for dogs, or simply own a cute one and you get a multitude of fan points. Fan points will help you keep your diamond. -Your coworkers are not your friends. Do not do anything to attempt to win friendship points, they are worth almost nothing, and they expire at midnight every night. -Fans don't like Dorit. This makes her a smart target. Always choose a smart target. -LVP just had a personal tragedy. That makes her relatable, even to those who are not normally her fans. Bad Target. Really Bad Target. Don't even think about it. -Never listen to Kyle! Like, ever! She will steer you wrong and dump your ass in a mess every time. And she will get away with it because she has fabulous hair and cute dogs. -

I'm beginning to wonder if Dorit isn't the one with the master plan. We ended last season with her laying on top of LVP and begging for forgiveness and friendship and we open this season with Dorit clutching pearls saying how could LVP do this to me. I think LVP walks around slightly affronted by everyone around her at any point in time anyway, so if Dorit that she's already annoyed with gives the dog away, I don't think Lisa is cool with this. I don't know that she hatches a Machiavellian plot over it, but if the Johns do, I don't she's going to care much. I think there was a plot and she knew about at least part of it, but probably wasn't in on it, because if she was, I think it would have been done better. Teddi is obviously in on the plot to show the dog on camera and identify it as Dorit's. But I think Dorit found out and turned the tables. She may come off as stupid, but either she or boiled ham or both are successful enough at plotting evil schemes that they are living in BH in a rented mansion. Kyle plays both sides at all times- she probably clued her in, and then all of them worked to get Teddi on board with turning this on LVP. Kyle is a terrible friend. I wonder if Teddi's real frustration is she is being played on all sides and knows it, and just doesn't know what to do about it. -

I think LVP was pissed at Dorit and I think she did OK John Blizzard telling Teddi. Maybe she even orchestrated it all. And I don't care. She looks so beaten and broken that I don't care and I still find Teddi's pursuit of it all annoying and gross. This might have been a great way to catch the "master manipulator" in some other season, but right now it's just ugly and sad. Kyle is right that she should not be held accountable for her friend's actions, but then she doesn't need to detail each of these actions for us and essentially say that being crappy is just part of who Lisa is. I think Kyle has the life I would most want, but not the personality. Terrible sister, terrible friend. Dorit is an evil and moronic grifter. I'm thrilled she brought the dog to the shelter. I think the dog had a better chance at a good life with a family that shops shelters for their dogs than a woman who returned 2 boutique dogs in 2 months. And either they both bit her daughter, as she claims, which leaves me seriously wondering about what goes on in that household, or she lied about the nature of 2 dogs that need to be adopted to homes. A reputation for biting could jeopardize their chances at finding a good home. Either way, Dorit looks bad to me. Camille and Denise are the only reason I will watch another week at this point. I think they are the only ones who get that whether Lisa is involved or not, Dorit's an asshole. -

S09.E03: Sun and Shade in the Bahamas
Beachdreamer replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I said it in another post, but I'm going to separate it out here. I think Lisa did do something wrong. I totally understand and don't hold her accountable, but, as the owner of a dog rescue, when she learned that the dog had been passed to another family because it was aggressive (it doesn't matter if the dog was actually aggressive or if Dorit is a slimy grifter who was going in vacation) as a rescue owner, she should have inserted herself and taken action. She could have demanded the dog be returned for training and evaluation, she could have demanded that the new family get in touch with Vanderpups and work with them. She initially did nothing when she was given the information. And since Lisa is not disputing that Dorit called her afterwards or that Dorit said they gave it up because the dog bit people, I think we can assume that's what Lisa was told. I'm going to guess Lisa also thinks Dorit is a slimy grifter who didn't want a dog, and so Lisa assumed the dog would be fine with the new family. But it wasn't. I don't think Lisa did anything awful. I just think it's an unfortunate live and learn moment as a business owner in a type of business that is new to her. -

Even if Lisa did engineer a situation that gave Teddi and Kyle the information, they were not obligated to run with it. And Kyle ran like a champion. I'm not even sure what Teddi did with the info- so far it looks like nothing. It's been all Kyle. I have a feeling Teddi was a pawn of both Lisa and Kyle. -

Lisa- In general, I like to watch Lisa because she's good TV. I think her "I'm the Queen" schtick is partly British humor and partly her real personality. So I think she toggles back and forth between zapping people and "dahling I was joking." She's certainly a worthy adversary at any other time of her life, but for now I think everyone on that trip ought to back away from going at her, regardless of how much she might invite it. Responding to her at this time isn't a good look for anyone. JMHO Erika's condolence message was generic and simple. I can see why Lisa would think so. I might hope for more from a friend. I would expect less from a coworker. And I would expect nothing at all from an adversary. It's hard to pin down what their relationship is, though, so I'm not sure that it wasn't perfectly appropriate. Lisa shouldn't have mentioned it. Erika looks like a calculating coworker/adversary by taking the picture, but it does help define the relationship. They are not friends. And as a side note, I don't think the picture did her any favors in terms of proving it was heartfelt- it did show it as a generic message on a generic card. Kyle- She was a complete total snake. She pushed and pushed until the information came out to Rinna. Then she ran to Dorit's side and comforted her. I can never figure out if she's truly a clever manipulator or just a vile person, but somehow she is often at the heart of a conflict, but standing there being comforted or looking confused and she is held unaccountable season after season. I'm not certain if she wanted Lisa to go down, but I'm quite certain she wanted Dorit to. As far as Dorit telling Lisa the next day that she did the wrong thing, I'm not sure why Dorit thinks that makes a difference for her. She still did the wrong thing. It does pose a problem for Lisa, though. When Lisa heard that the dog was given away because it was biting people, she should have demanded that the dog be brought back to Vanderpups for a new evaluation. It's what a more seasoned rescue would do. It would be uncomfortable to go to a new loving family and take their puppy away, but that would be Dorit's responsibility, not Lisa's. The problem is that Dorit told her friend Lisa who was going through a hard time, not the rescue itself who might have looked at the situation more objectively and with more experience. Ultimately, they both made mistakes here. -
S09.E01: Lucy Lucy Apple Juicy
Beachdreamer replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I find it hard to like anything about Dorit and PK, and I don't find them to be at all credible about things like the break in. For that reason, it pains me to say this, but I do believe that they told Lisa they rehomed the dog, and she acted fine with it. I watched her act, maybe not "fine with it" but certainly ready to move on from it with my own eyes at the dinner they showed last night. If I had to guess, I would say Dorit and PK didn't bring the dog back to VP dogs because they didn't want to be talked into exchanging Lucy for a new dog. Because they are selfish prats or because they'd already tried two dogs that didn't work out- or because of both of those things, I think that's why they rehomed the dog, so that the issue of them having a dog is over and done with. I don't like them, but I'm willing to assume they didn't think the dog would end up in a shelter. I think Lisa probably did act like she was ok with their course of action, but likely wasn't at the time and really wasn't when it all blew up and the dog was found in a shelter. I think she was completely fine with her employee talking about it on camera, and I think she was shady as all get out when she relayed the scene to Dorit and implied that the real problem was that Teddi knew about the dog. I completely believe Lisa is a sniper from the side, and I'm sure she has never contacted Radaronline directly, but I have no trouble believing she orchestrates it. And while I said that I just don't like PK and Dorit, I actually do like LVP, and I view this sort of behavior as part and parcel of being a successful candid reality TV star. When I choose who to "like" on these shows, it's not always who I think would make the best true friend in real life. Often my criteria is simply "who gives me good TV" I am really surprised that anyone would go so strongly after a woman whose brother just committed suicide. Partly because of the inhumanity of it, and partly because it doesn't play well in public review. Lisa must have really screwed up royally for them to be this comfortable taking her on at this point in time. I'm curious to see this season take shape.
