  1. I think the kids ins5 reference is about the Diggles, since he is reportedly significantly affected by Barry's unspeakable stupidity. He already has one kid in the original timeline and another in a possible future timeline. So it makes sense that whatever kid storyline there is, it's his. And I just don't want it to be William. Even if they managed to pull this thing completely around, unless they recast, that very cute child is a block of wood on screen.
  2. Oh, I think this is referring to the time they were together, just off screen. I don't think the S5 bit is connected to the two of them. ETA: Do you think they did it on purpose? Snicker.
  3. I have a bad feeling about baby Sara.
  4. I'm guessing 8, since SA apparently mentioned that episode, saying it's his favorite.
  5. If it's what you're talking about, a guest asked the band to play Happy Birthday to her friend who had her 60th yesterday. The lead got snappy and told her they didn't take requests. That brought on criticism about them playing the same set at all the parties. That's what I got, whih isn't to say something else didn't happen as well.
  6. No, that definitely never happens in the book. She does come with a present for him and sees him with Berger, but he never lies about it.
  7. In the book, they both figure out the mystery more or less simultaneously, although from different angles. There was one instance of her saving his life I think I might have dealt with it better if they didn't become involved and particularly if Lisbeth hadn't fallen in love with him. This was coming on the heels of Cecilia and aside from the author enjoying his alter ego in a pseudo James Bond role, with all the chicks falling over themselves on his account, I just don't get why it was necessary. It's the first book of the series and he planned for there to be 10. Like, hold your horses, dude. How did Blomkvist lie to Lisbeth in the movie? He didn't really in the book.
  8. She got revenge, although they didn't meet after that. Maybe that comes from the sequels or is inserted into the movie. My point is she and Blomkvist were put in a very similar siruation with very different outcomes.
  9. I was ready for the violence within the context of the mystery and I was aware that Lisbeth survived some sort of violence. It was really the sacred cow male protagonist that broke me. I don't think that me cackling with glee at the indication that something bad would befall him was the intended result.
  10. I've just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and boy, howdy, did it make me ragey. Now, I know the original is titled Men Who Hate Women, so I expected crimes against women, but as I was reading the book, I wondered whether Stieg Larsson is not one of those titular men. Because the way the male and female protagonists are treated are markedly differently. Warning: Spoiler tags contain spoilers about disturbing book content. Click at your own peril if you are not familiar with the book. Now, this struck me pretty early on. After all, Blomkvist is presumably at the low point of his career as the book opens, but pretty swiftly we see him with his long time mistress, getting a lucrative, if suspicious job offer and another woman basically throwing herself at him. Lisbeth in contrast deals with her unease around other people, loses the one person she feels comfortable with and is quickly What made me see red for real was when the murderer was discovered. And finally, what I hate most of all is the fact that Lisbeth There were a few good points. Lisbeth openly calls herself the best hacker in Sweden. She gives a variation of, cool motive, still murder. The mystery, while gruesome, is actually good. All the Evil (Lisbeth's secret past trauma) is not revealed in this book, and since I have no intention of reading the others, I will never have to know what it is.
  11. I actually remember SA talking about insisting the network include his workouts in his work schedule, so he didn't have to do it in his free time. I think it was in one of his FB live videos but who knows anymore? And for some reason I have a pretty clear image of KC referencing it during a con.
  12. There may actually be a sliver of hope that Oliver might be allowed to become a half-way decent mayor. Based on the extremely limited evidence of SA in costume, so far it's all GA suit and business wear. In contrast, I feel Oliver spent a lot of his time in casual clothes last year. Then again, this is sort of calling back to his almost season long stint as CEO in S2 and we all know how that ended up. And I've only now realized that it's a replay of that, what with Oliver's daytime job suffering due to his vigilante activities. I hope there's a point to it, namely that he learns how to juggle the two, instead of seeing the same movie again.
  13. This is actually what I meant. My point was just that it wasn't one sided.
  14. EBR, SA and EK also posted stuff on Instagram. So it's not just the trainer/owner doing the posting.
  15. I'm more than fairly confident it will be, just, you know, adjust your expectations. :)
  16. I may be conjuring this up, but I think I remember posts about posting schedules, so I imagine not everyone will drop their fics at the exact same time. I thought they were all assigned days. Macha's is Wednesday, but I think others will be posting starting Monday. According to Macha they really won't play much (if any part) in the story.
  17. All I know is that so_caffeinated and bre decided to remove the fic from OFBB in reaction and wll post the rest of it independently. I suppose the anonymous commenter felt they had preferential treatment and everyone else had their fics lumped together, but even if that were so, honestly, so what?
  18. I'm sure they did, but that much higher? Supergirl has only had one shorter season on CBS.
  19. That's a weird list. Off the top of my head, it's odd that GG isn't on the list after heading The Flash for two season. In comparison, I didin't get the impression that MB had much chance to accumulate more money prior to their DC shows. And CH is downright surprising. All his roles were smaller stuff, weren't they? His fashion line has just started, so that can't be it. Has he had lucrative endorsement deals?
