  1. Well, I am just a tad bit pissed off, not to mention butt hurt and offended for John McCook and Katherine Kelly Lang. A 9000th episode celebration and not one single mention to the shows only surviving originals? How rude. So, ok, it is Steffy's birthday, but the whole episode Show? I just watched Sally Spectra lay Bill Spencer open for having one of his henchmen take pictures of her wedding to Clark, which exposed Macy as her daughter. Sally was threatening to expose his involvement in porno mags. And it was just absolutely fucking riveting. Get a clue Show. Get a clue.
  2. I have one older sister who I have not spoken to in years. To be perfectly frank, our relationship is toxic, and I made the painful decision that I could no longer tolerate her entitled, selfish, and completely self-absorbed actions, and cut her out of my life. My mom is having a sad too, but she knows not to interfere, and will only go as far as saying she wishes we could get past it. I started watching when Show first aired, but due to today's repetitive writing and rewashing of scripts and SL's, I have been drawn back to its roots and have started from the beginning on YouTube. Even though I have seen it before, I still find myself a little amazed at how complex and deep the SL's were back then. At one point in season 2, we have Eric discovering he has an adult daughter who is disabled, while Thorne marries Ridge's first love Caroline after she has been raped. Thorne finds out Ridge had drunken sex with Caroline and shoots him in the head, and Stephanie takes the fall for it. Then there is Bill Spencer and Donna Logan, who is trying to expose his involvement in porno magazines. Ridge is romancing Brooke, as Stephanie shops for a gigolo to romance her oldest daughter Kristen because she is jealous of her relationship with Eric. This gigolo, a man named Clark, works for their competition Spectra, and ends up involved with Eric's assistant Margo, and they end up having a son. Yes, all going on simultaneously, and seamlessly weaved together in truly compelling and interesting storytelling. Don't even get me started on season 7, when we have the battle for BeLief and Brooke taking over Forrester.
  3. Brooke always going after the "wrong man" or the "bad guy" is patently ridiculous. With few exceptions, the men in Brooke's life pursued her, and the only bad guy she was ever with was Deacon. This fallacy of Brooke's jaded past is all part and parcel of Stephanie's drum beating for 30 years about the "slut from the valley." I am now in the middle of season three on YouTube, and have been reminded just how horrible Stephanie was to Brooke. Over the years I had forgotten so many things, like how Stephanie continually played with Brooke's emotions and her mind; one day her friend and the next her enemy. Blaming Brooke for Eric loving Beth, and putting her in the middle of their romance by trying to force Brooke to break them up. Constantly blackmailing her with going to Ridge with Brooke's knowledge of their affair if she didn't intercede. Stephanie never forgave Brooke for not turning on her own mother, and never missed the opportunity to tell Brooke that she saw her as a traitor because of it. What a complete and total BITCH she was; Brooke's only loyalty was to her mother, not Stephanie. Then, trying to justify her actions regarding the Logan family, manipulating and interfering by finding and bringing Stephen home, by saying she was trying to save her marriage. What marriage? That relationship was staler than ten day old toast; there was no affection or closeness between Stehpanie and Eric, in fact, there was a palpable coldness between them. I mean, when a mother is that jealous of her own daughter's love and affection for her father, and shops for a gigolo to get involved with her? Additionally, she knew Eric was in love with Beth when they were in college, and after rediscovering her, he realized his feelings were the same. Stephanie was not able to accept that and labeled Beth an opportunist and a woman who had seduced her husband. Stehpanie was the worst, and for this viewer, one of her most heinous traits was coaxing her actions in pretty words and platitudes about family and integrity, something Stephanie simply did not possess. So, I am not happy with this current dialogue and Brooke running herself down over things that fucking witch said. Hope was completely out of line talking to her mother like that, a mother who has never been anything but loving and supportive. If Hope wants to swap spit with Thomas that is totally on her; if she needs to fantasize that her husband is a stalkering, gaslighting, manipulative psycho, well then that is what she needs to do, and has nothing to do with her mother. Having said that, I was hella uncomfortable with those Brooke/Ridge scenes. Those two have nothing going on, and it all felt really creepy to me. So Brooke flirted a little? That is Brooke. But nothing happened, not even a friggin kiss. Given most of the evening was spent discussing Ridge's deranged son, and how Brooke had found it in her to forgive him, I think it was a pretty uneventful night.
  4. Not even fully aware yet, and already with the "my son saved me because he loves me" crap. Shut up Ridge, no one is turned on by you. Batie again. This is really shaping up to be a total snooze.
  5. Holy cow, get to the point already! Li is the BOSS! You get her girl. But alas, her noble son will step in and save the fucking psycho, because he can't bend the rules. And he will also see it as protecting Li and her medical license. And, as @KerleyQpointed out, we will have to endure months of Sheila going on about how Finn saved her life because he loves her:
  6. OOOPSY! Looks like the boys forgot who they were dealing with: Yes, how did Sheila get the keys to the car? She carried no purse with her over the ledge; I guess she just had them in her pocket, and of course the FOB didn't get damaged in the fall either. Bill knows where she is going; will we learn that Deacon has been in on it all along? I certainly hope so, because I want him to stay around. And I want to see the Alphabet kid return.
  7. Psycho Sheila fell over a wall Psycho Sheila took a long fall Psycho Sheila hit the ground and went splat Up in Heaven Dr. Garvin gave a great laugh We are in Bell LA and in that universe no one dies from long falls; i.e. Ridge, Caroline 2.0, Hope, Bill, Thomas..... So, no doubt Sheila will pop up like a Boss and take off in into the great unknown. That, or she will be hospitalized where Mike will somehow help her make her escape. Because Show just cannot be done with this character. I did think it was hilarious that Sheila thought she could take $Bill though. I mean, Lauren, Brooke, Taylor, Li are one thing, but Bill? I really wish we would have had a classic throw down like the old days: What happens to law enforcement in LA? We all know the great ineptitude of the LA PD, at least Show's version of them, but the FBI too? Wouldn't you think they would have had at least one detail parked close by Bill's? No, it appears that all the LA FBI agents are over in Cambodia feeding the hungry.
  8. Sheila didn't actually murder Dr. Garvin; it was an accident born from an argument, but she sure enjoyed the end result all the same. Lance Day on the other hand, was pure unmitigated murder, and now they have it all on tape and video. Even so, this is not the end of Sheila. There is, and never will be, an end to Sheila. She will get out of it somehow, and I fear will end up with Deacon because he is the character I have always rooted for, but Show is driven to fuck up. The color of Katie's blouse made her eyes sparkle like little diamonds.
  9. "Seeing her nine grimy toes walkin around my house" I am DONE!
  10. What a great episode! It is nearly criminal how much chemistry lurks between Bill and Ridge. And even though the whole SL is preposterous, I will take it because it is fresh and unexpected. That was the best episode since Brooke and Taylor told Ridge to go kick rocks. The dialog was snappy and funny, and it looked like TK and DD were having a blast. But I really want to know how they found out about Dr. Garvin and Lance. To my knowledge Sheila never disclosed those crimes to anyone, not even James Warwick.
  11. So, I am doing my usual FF'd, when I see a man walking in what looks like a basement. Hmmmm.......stop FF'd for that I think. Fuckers got me this time for sure. There is no way I would have ever thought Ridge was involved in this mess. But it certainly adds a new and delicious flavor to a SL I have been avoiding like the plague. The FBI too? I would speculate it has something to do with all that money Sheila was alluding to. The FBI would be involved if it had anything to do with gambling across state lines, money laundering, kidnapping, or blackmail, all crimes comfortably within Sheila's wheelhouse. Great catch about the sword necklace @Snaporaz, I have no doubt you are correct, given all the focus on it and in those last scenes in particular, they kept focusing in on it. Now I can't wait until Monday!
  12. Yes, and it would make all kinds of sense given Deacon is back, and Little E could also add flavor to Hope's life. I also would not mind seeing Jack reappear, now that his mothers are BFFs, and wouldn't mind seeing Dominick return as well. At the core of it though, is the lack of deep, controlled, well paced storytelling, that has continuity and balance. There is also the lack of a good, believable rivalry/feud. Stephanie drove most of that, and trying to replace her with Steffy just isn't working. Additionally, most of the angst on Show today is plot driven nonsense, based on revisionist history. Another thing they need to do is flesh out the Forrester clan. Who do we have really? Eric and Ridge, and Ridge's family with Taylor. Say what you will, but none of them have a drop of Forrester blood. Zende is back on canvas, so why not bring his mother back? Kristen was always the apple of Eric's eye, and a very good designer herself. Felicia also is a very talented designer, and of course there is Thorne, who I miss terribly. Bring him back and resurrect Ally; if they can reanimate Taylor twice, and Macy once, they could certainly find a way to bring Ally back too. Most of all though, the loss of anything related to fashion, fashion shows, and competing fashion houses has really killed Show. I have started from the beginning on YouTube, and am currently into season 3, and the differences are jarring. Nearly every day we have models in the various offices, with full rundowns of what they are wearing, from the fabric, to the cut, to the stitching, to the way the outfit falls on the body. It was all so believable and well done, it truly felt like they were all designers. Today all we get is a sketch here and there, and a model may be getting a fitting once every few months. Show today is a caricature of what it used to be.
  13. Is it just me, or has Show stalled miserably? I can't remember a time I wasn't able to muster up a comment or two. Thank the Lord for my little community here, you are all far more interesting and entertaining than what we are watching, which is reportedly written by professional writers.
  14. I continue to boycott all things Sheila, that includes scenes with Bill or Deacon. After reading the comments from my fellow posters, I see I have made the right choice. There is no way in this lifetime, or on God's green earth, that I would ever see Sheila as a victim, or a damsel in distress, or as the long suffering ingenue who has martyred herself by staying with a man she doesn't love. Absolutely not. The hardest of the hardest passes on that shit.
  15. This is a shoehorn, something used to assist when putting on shoes. It is also something used by talentless writers who have no vision or creativity, who lack the ability to craft interesting and compelling stories. They will use this device to cram plot driven nonsense down their audience's collective throats.
  16. Oh, yes, Braylor is coming. As stated by @CharlizeCat, the anvils were falling in heaps yesterday. All the comments about Brooke needing someone she knows; someone she is comfortable with and who understands her, coming right on the heels of her truncated date with Hollis? And at the same time she and Taylor were simultaneously cuddled up on the couch? I did think they were going to go for it when Brooke grabbed Taylor's face, but as @CountryGirl said; stop teasing us Show! Taylor's hesitancy to move in with Brooke is all based on their upcoming romance, I have no doubt about it. Once they cross the finish line, and they realize what they truly want, Taylor will move in with Brooke. Oh, the heads that will explode! I have this fantasy of Ridge coming home, all full of himself and his "choices" and "decisions", fully expecting his two ex's to be there waiting and pining for him. But when he walks into Brooke's home, unannounced and without knocking, he gets the shock of his life as he finds Brooke and Taylor in a hot embrace and a steamy lip lock. I enjoyed Brooke calling a hard stop on things with Hollis; it wasn't unpleasant, but it didn't feel right. I also enjoyed Taylor's little call out to Stephanie. I want more of that, these two have a long and tangled history and there is all kinds of fodder that can be mined and brought in humorously. So, that is what they were discussing? I don't think the whole Taylor shot Bill angle is going to work anymore. Of course, they still have Li, and could blackmail Finn about his mother, and how they will put her "behind bars" for the rest of her life or cause her to lose her medical license for saving her son. However, something tells me that Li would tell them both to fuck off and die. I think she would be willing to take her chances and would probably win with the help of Finn. Outside of that, all I can see is Bill trying to set it up like Finn has betrayed Steffy, or like they are bad parents. All the recent references about that cliff make me a bit nervous now. We all know that Bill has no scruples when he is on a mission and doesn't care about the health of those he drops from high places. Because it cannot be said enough; I hate this SL.
  17. So, Brooke looked amazing.... Maybe a tad overdressed, but who cares when you look like that. Here is what I hope happens. I would like to see Brooke enjoy herself in the company of a man not Ridge, but let that develop into a nice friendship, and let Brooke realize that it isn't another man she craves, but a romance with Taylor. I cannot comment on the Sheila/Bill ick because I am boycotting that SL.
  18. I came here to rant; but @KerleyQ took care of that for me. That is one beautiful, spot on post!
  19. Is it ridiculous and completely juvenile how much I enjoyed Braylor acting like two teenage girls? I can't quite put my finger on why I like them so much, but I think it has a lot to do with Show never allowing female friendships. I cannot stand Thomas, but I love MA. He is so damned attractive, and such a good actor, that it is hard to believe that he hasn't "changed." I am totally on board with a new dynamic of Thomas terrorizing his sister. I don't like Steffy, although she has earned some redemption points with me lately, but there is a lot of unfinished business between her and her brother. They have both done some nasty things to each other over the years. Another day with no Sheila and LoboBill. Yeah!
  20. Another good step in the Braylor relationship; taking the middle ground and staying out of it. Brooke was rocking that red blouse. I'm not really upset with Steffy, this is not something she instigated, and I find her in a tough position. But what I like most of all is she is not going to let Thomas steamroll his way back into Douglas's life. That shows me that her concern is Douglas, and not sticking it to Hope. I also like the Steffy/Finn united front, with Finn stepping in and telling Thomas that he wasn't going to be barging into their home barking orders. So, as stupid as this SL started out, it isn't playing out so badly on the back half. And anything is far better than watching Sheila and Bill.
  21. I have been working for nearly 50 years. I have worked in all manner of offices, and not once in all those years, did I undress in any of them.
  22. The only words I can come up with are.......... Dumb, dumber, and dumbest. Here Aunt Steffy, you are now the legal custodian of your nephew Douglas! Oh, we won't bother asking you about it, you know shit like, can you take on the responsibility of a child. Or do you have any children. Or are you married and how will your husband feel. Additionally, it isn't necessary for the courts to check you and your past out. Nor is it necessary to check out Douglas's future living arrangements. No, when an 8 year old boy makes up his mind, well, that is all there is to it. Show can entirely miss me on trying to make Sheila sympathetic in her martyrdom. If they want to impress me, then the fucking psycho will do the right thing and go to the police. Yeah, that would impress me, but staying away from the man she loves to cohabitate with, a man she used, and continues to use, to obtain her freedom? Not so much.
  23. Really Deacon? This could be our chance at a real relationship? I don't know what is worse, them trying to make Sheila the "it" girl that is turning the heads of all the men who have worshipped the Golden Couter, or Deacon wanting to destroy every relationship that means anything to him by having an open romance with a psychopath? Making it worse is it is coming fresh on the heels of Hope's paise and admiration at what Deacon has managed to accomplish. Outside of that, a witch needs to stay the hell away. If she is soooooo in gaga fucking love with Bill, why does she keep coming to sniff around Deacon. And what is with all the black leather clothes? @Gam2 just for you! Blink, blink, blink Blink, blink, blink Blink your eyes Blink your eyes...... When I was a little kid, I wanted to live with my mom's sister. I adored my Aunt Nell, she had a working farm with all manner of animals, a huge vegetable garden where I would pick fresh tomatoes and rinse them off and eat them. There was also an inground pool with fencing that was covered in the most delicious concord grapes. My summers there were amazing! I lobbied and lobbied everyone who would listen to no avail. There is just something about Aunts. They have a different presence in kid's lives; my niece wanted to live with me too. But in Douglas's case I think he is trying to play the middle ground so he doesn't hurt anyone. Making him make this choice is hella mean and cruel and has put this already traumatized kid in such a rotten position. Say what they will, if he had chosen Thomas, Hope would have been crushed and bitter, and if he had chosen Hope, Thomas would have started planning his next manipulation. Douglas is a smart kid, and I am sure he recognized this ploy by his father for exactly what it is; another manipulation, and a way to strike back at the family who has ostracized him. Will this be the first real test of Braylor? Hope losing custody of Douglas to Steffy? Or will they stay out of it?
  24. I don't think Taylor is trying to off herself either; I think she was taking something to help her sleep. I can see how Brooke would draw that conclusion though, given she had just had that conversation with a worried Steffy, then getting to Taylor's and reading her confession with the statement that the only way to save her family was to "end it". I think Brooke will be able to rouse Taylor, and before they know what hit them, they will be embracing and much, much, more. Then again, maybe nothing will happen, but there is some reason Brooke was the one to find Taylor and draw the wrong conclusion. Good for Hope. Now what will Thomas do? He is not working at FC's anymore, and he has been ostracized by the family, so what is his purpose now?
  25. Steffy needs to understand that there are other factors at play when it comes to her mother confessing than just putting Sheila "behind bars". Taylor is consumed with guilt and that guilt is going to slowly eat at her and erode reality. Confessing will bring her back into the real world and will allow her to pay for her crime. It will also remove any blackmail ammunition Bill and Sheila have, so it may not get Sheila back in the hands of the authorities, but it will remove any power Bill and Sheila have in regard to Hayes and Kelly and will effectively remove Sheila from her life.
