  1. I rarely post here, but this episode plucked my nerves on so many levels. I don't agree with only one judge; that allows the judging to be taste specific. I am also not a big fan of Kristina Crestin, who veers into muddy, clingy designing. I knew immediately who she was going to choose based on her reactions and comments. I also do not like Page; something about her has always rubbed me the wrong way. And after her nasty, snarky remarks to, and about, Keith and Evan in episode one, I have no use for her at all. Her first comment was after they discussed the outside of the house, and she said something about the art of negotiation is about letting the other party think they got more than they did, as if Keith and Evan were two cornfed idiots that she was able to bamboozle with her superior intellect. Her second comment was after she saw the artwork for the dining room, and she said they were good artists, but as competitors, they just didn't have the knowledge of what it takes to raise the market value of their house. Insufferable bitch. I have mad respect for Keith and Evan, who have gone into houses that Miss Prissy Page wouldn't step a foot into. Who have lived in filth, eaten cold food, lived with no heat and running water, all to better their city. Yeah, girlfriend needs to take all the seats. For the life of me I can't figure out why Page and Mitch won the bedroom. A raised bed? Really? I am old and clumsy and see broken toes and sprained ankles. An outdoor shower? Why would you need that when you have one big enough for an entire football team steps away? I guess getting chewed up by mosquitos is preferable to stepping into your luxury steam shower. OH! But you can see the water while you wash! A champagne bar? I would much rather have a multipurpose good old refrigerator since I drink champagne about once a year if that. There was also no access to the laundry room, and I thought the closet shelving looked like something you would pick up at IKEA. And the horrid pink counter on the vanity. Just no. This win belonged to Keith and Evan. So they put a fireplace in the closet. And the friggin nitpick about the storage on the counter? Sorry, but you can never have enough storage, and that looked hella convenient to me. And Kristina did say that it was one of her pet peeves, so who is to say how potential buyers would feel. Keith and Evan were also the only ones who opened up the entire wall and put in bifold doors. Their rooms were cohesive and beautiful. End of rant.
  2. Li has commented to Poppy several times that "you don't even know who Luna's father is", so I don't think she is angry at Li over shagging Finn or Jack. She is just a disapproving older sister, who sees her life's path as superior. Her finding out who Luna's father is will send her down an even darker, angrier path.
  3. My bets say Poppy will say Bill is Luna's father in order to put an end to it. Of course, Bill isn't her father, that is either Finn or Jack, and is the reason Poppy refuses to come clean with Luna. Then again, Show could have been throwing us a red herring. And it would be a win for Poppy since Bill and Luna already know and like each other. Luna looked so much better yesterday without those tendrils of hair hanging around her face and the toned-down makeup.
  4. I also think we are heading to some type of Poppy/Zende mashup. How long has it been since we have seen Bill and Poppy on a date? Or heard him waxing on about her? It seems they are trying to distance them while at the same time throwing Poppy and Zende together all the time. I believe the original plan was for Luna to be Bill's daughter and he and Poppy would hook up, but for reasons unknown they ditched that and are moving Poppy in a new direction. Honestly, I am ok with that. I want Bill to have a new woman in his life, but he was becoming such a steaming pile of mushy oatmeal, constantly going on about the wonders of his one night with Poppy twenty years ago, that I didn't recognize him anymore. I really wanted to see him and Li hook up, but they have destroyed her for me, so I can't root for that pairing anymore. How can you have a dynamic character like Bill Spencer and not be utilizing them, but are completely on board with shoving Luna and RJ down our collective throats on a daily basis? Indeed!
  5. I was having a very stupid moment there and forgot that Sugar was not Sheila's daughter, but was Sheila's friend, accomplice, and now enemy. But I still don't doubt she would sacrifice one of her kids to save her on hide, or to get what she wanted.
  6. Maybe it is all just Sheila's master plan? The mention of someone showing up from her past would be Sugar. Right on the heels of that Deacon tells Sheila he is not ready to go to the altar, then Steffy shows up, confronting Sheila and telling her she wished she were dead. So, she goes with Sugar to Cliff House, telling Sugar to go in a kill Steffy, or at the very least, terrorize her to the point she attacks. Steffy will tell the police it was Sheila acting in a threatening manner, but then the police see all ten toes and know it isn't Sheila. Now they want to know what beef Steffy had with someone she didn't even know. The don't find any weapons on the victim, don't see any sign of forced entry, and arrest Steffy on murder charges. Finn thinks Sheila is dead and is clearly shook up by it. This is a big win for Sheila, because when he learns she is not dead, he will be happy and looking forward to seeing her again. Sheila will either have left Deacon a letter or will contact him saying she thought he needed a break to think things through, and she will be back later. I have no doubt Sheila would sacrifice her daughter to get what she wants, and this would get Steffy out of the way, would make Finn realize that he actually does love Sheila, and would make Deacon's heart grow fonder, and may get him ready to get married. The only hole is that Sugar would have been in Cliff House uninvited, but this is B&B land, where normal stuff never makes sense.
  7. Whelps, looks like there are going to be some rough waters ahead for the Finnegans. Just watching and listening to Finn as Steffy was talking clearly showed he was not a husband who was worried about his wife's ordeal, or that she could have been harmed. And it really annoys me because they make Finn so wishy washy. One day he wants Sheila to stay away and worries that she might hurt Steffy or the kids, then the next day he could care less that Sheila once again entered his home uninvited and unannounced and was acting in a threatening manner. Whether Sheila was there to harm Steffy or to sing Kumbaya is kind of irrelevant to Steffy's fear; remember she is the one that looked down the barrel of Sheila's gun, so why wouldn't she react the way she did? I am begging the writers not to let this lead to a Hope and Finn pairing. They have zero romantic chemistry; only working as good friends and convoluted stepsiblings. But they have been desperately searching for a way to get Liam back in Steffy's bed, and Finn being angry and horrified that his wife offed his mom and leaving is a sure fired way to do it. Line of the century goes to Brooke with her "Steffy has never been a violent person."
  8. Sheila is most certainly not dead, because she will never die. No Finn, Sheila did not push Steffy first; Steffy punched Sheila and continued to taunt her, until Sheila lost her cool and came at Steffy. Didn't we clearly see Steffy going to each door to make sure it was locked? I guess Sheila was able to pick the sliding glass door lock in the dark and during a thunderstorm. I think this is all about setting Steffy up for murder charges. She sought out Sheila and attacked her and made it clear that she wanted her dead. And a lot of people know that; Sheila, Deacon, Finn and Hope. I bet Sheila didn't have a weapon in her pocket. Nope, I say she had something that Kelly left at the restaurant and was returning it ala Liam. The perfect set up to get Steffy out of her and Finn's lives. And there is still this mysterious person from Sheila's past who has shown up in LA. Maybe one of her kids going to take on their psycho momma's mantle while she is temporarily dead?
  9. I'm just going to stay out of the whole consent/nonconsent discussion; I find the SL so offensive I don't want to give it any cred by commenting on it. But I do have an observation, something that has been bothering me about the whole mint switcheroo. I went back and rewatched the episode where it happened, and they show Luna emptying out her purse and her mints where in a tin with what looks like peppermint printed on top. Poppy uses a small, round pill case that looks nothing like the square tin Luna carried. I question why Luna would pull that round case out of her purse and take them knowing that was not her mint tin? And I will say that having Zende now encouraging Luna to leave RJ and hook up with him is just so fucking ridiculous. Zenda is a good looking, talented, well-connected guy, but he is willing to start a relationship with a girl who he knows is in love with his cousin? My picks would have to be: Darla and Bill Spencer Maggie and Dylan Brooke and Deacon Brooke and Thorne Brooke and Nick Eric and Jackie
  10. Is Popping dropping A, and going around on a perpetual trip? Cause that didn't look like Luna just had a "buzz" working, she was full on hallucinating. Why would Luna take a pill from her mother's stash? I don't think she knows what her mom is taking, and thought they were just mints. But then, Poppy didn't seem all that concerned about it. In any event, it is sure one fucked up way to get Luna into Zende's bed. Show is really dragging right now. They seem to be trying to achieve something but are completely missing the mark. I am lucky if I actually watch five minutes of an episode.
  11. Li's aversion to sex makes one wonder about her and Jack's relationship and why he strayed with Sheila. Just look at RJ being a mini Sherlock Holmes. Who would have thunk it.
  12. I really don't care if Poppy is working an angle, or has a master plan, or is completely legit; she doesn't owe Li one damn thing. She is not obligated to explain how she knows Bill, nor is she obligated to explain what she is currently doing with Bill. Li is harsh and judgmental, a shrieking shrew who reminds me a rabid snapping turtle. She needs a lesson in humility, she also needs to understand that not everyone is an A personality. Not everyone is driven. Not everyone wants a college degree and the big career. There is nothing wrong with being a free spirit. Poppy seems to have been self sufficient, at least as far as Luna says. There has been no tales of woe, or hurt, or anguish. It seems she and her mom might have had their struggles, but they were close and had a happy life. I've said before I think this is the classic sibling rivalry, where one is jealous of the attention the other gets, and goes out of their way to do better, but it is never enough and they don't get that same type of unconditional love they imagine their sibling is enjoying. So, the jealous sibling ridicules the other for their life choices, insinuating they are second class because they haven't done anything with their life. Poppy really needs to put on her big girl panties and give Li all the seats, along with a tall, nicely chilled glass of STFU.
  13. Who is this man masquerading as $Bill fucking Spencer? Really Show? I don't mind a softer Bill, but this platitude spewing, over the top gushing, about how wonderful Poppy is, and how he never forgot her is just way, way, way too much. It's not that I don't like Poppy, I do, I think she is a breath of fresh air, but that person she is about to throw down with is some doppelganger of the real deal Bill. But honestly, I will take anything over him begging Katie. I can think of two more Beach House inhabitants; Grant and Eric, who was there during one of his splits from Stephanie. It was when he married Brooke to try to convince Bridget that she was done with Nick. It also produced one of my favorite ever scenes, when Stephanie shows up and tells Eric to have sex with Brooke, saying she wanted to watch to see what all the hubbub was about.
  14. They actually gave Wyatt an exit, I am pleased and very surprised. It made me so sad though, because it reminded me of how much I love Wyatt's witty repartee with his father and brother. As said above, they should keep Wyatt and let Liam go. However, given that RJ is now seeking to move out on his own, I am sure it was tied to him taking over the beach house. Or maybe Luna taking it over once Bill finds out he has a daughter.
  15. So I don't really know who I am supposed to be mad at. Thomas shouldn't have been listening at PCD, but then again status quos. At the same time, I can't find fault with Thomas defending his relationship and telling Finn to stay out of it. OTOH, Finn may be right about Thomas, but he is way, way, way outta his lane on Hope. He should not be picking up the mantel of protection; Hope has a father, and a mother, and a brother, and a sometimes stepdad. Finn has a wife who he has only just reconciled with, of course that doesn't mean he can't have his own opinions about Thomas, but it does mean that he should not be donning his Superman cape to rescue other woman from Thomas's clutches. Show really needs to stop it. I am old, and not nearly as nimble of foot as I used to be, and it is getting hella hard to avoid the fucking anvils. There is a reason that Xander randomly picked Steffy's husband as a doctor. There is further reason why Finn is suddenly so overly protective of Hope. I don't think I am happy about it. We have been going along fine with no triangles, but it seems our writers are suffering severe withdrawals, and have to start that up again. I don't have to spell it out. My fellow posters are smart enough to read between the anvils, and many have already posted the very same thing. I don't see any romantic sparks between Hope and Finn. As much as I had to say it, she has those in spades with Thomas though. And dear God, Steffy and Liam again? There is just not enough UGH in the world for that concept. Idiots should never have let Wyatt go! He would be the perfect spoil for the whole mess.
  16. So, Steffy can be all up in arms about Finn's crazy pants mom, but he can't be the same about her crazy pants brother? Steffy laid the law down though; Finn isn't to think about it or talk about it. The police, who of course never make mistakes, said it was an accident. Zander is out for revenge. This isn't going to end well. Steffy can't stand anyone questioning her family's ethics. They are Forrester's, and above reproach. She will somehow find out that Finn texted Hope to warn her and express his concern for her. The fighting is bound to escalate, and once Thomas derails, I can see Finn coming to Hope's rescue. Maybe even battling Liam for the honor. Bill seems to have dallied his dick all over the place with random women. Women he had sex with and forgot about and who all turned up pregnant. At this point he just needs to open up a home for the wayward kids of Bill Spencer. Will someone contact Wyatt and let him know he has a sister?
  17. A music festival 20 years ago? A night to remember? Luna lamenting having no father figure in her life? Don't even have to try to connect the dots or put any kind of strain on your brain. But for fucks sake, you better be stepping lively to avoid the anvils. Yes, they are definitely setting something up with Thomas. And it isn't looking like anything good.
  18. Not sure they were going for levity, but I giggled a little bit when Thorne said: "That could be a good sign.....or a bad one." "Well, in terms of signs, that can't be a good one." (As the nurses rush past them) And then we have the clueless Donna: "Why is it taking so long?" Hmmm.....let's see; blood transfusions and transplants. And the abhorrent Ridge: "Wait and see, that's all you got for us?" What an ungrateful, short-sighted fuck you are. Bridget is also Eric's child, and no matter the myriad of violations involved, she was just in the operating room trying to save her dad. She is the one that had the panic and fear as he started to hemorrhage, and his vitals were falling. She was the one racing with Finn to find the spot where Eric was bleeding. They were the ones with the pressure and the stress, as you paced and pontificated. I wish Bridget had punched him in the throat.
  19. Please Ridge...STOP YELLING AT EVERYONE! Like the little girl said in Sixth Sense; I feel much better now. Thank you Thorne, for reminding your brother that he is not the only child of Eric Forrester.
  20. At the least, Ridge could have called Thorne and Bridget and told them what was going on. As a doctor herself, maybe Bridget would have some knowledge of what Finn was talking about. Or, maybe she could have explained it a different way. In any event, they should have both been called to the hospital to say goodbye to their father. And Eric's other three children should have been called and told as well; don't cell phones work on safari? But Ridge is too busy making it all about him.
  21. Why would Eric give Ridge medical power of attorney and not Donna? Having asked that question I will also say that I have been in Ridge's position with my own father. Having to make that decision is horrible. My dad did not have the options that are on the table for Eric, but I don't know if it would have changed things. I guess my feelings are, there is no harm in trying, and if you end up in the same place you are no worse off. And you can move on knowing you did everything you could. I couldn't agree more. This whole Eric dying SL has been more about Ridge than Eric. I actually feel bad for Thorne, who is Eric's oldest bio son, but wasn't even a consideration, and is not even allowed to go to hospital. Me too. Hope does seem to be turning that corner. I never thought I could support them, but they just look so good together, and have such chemistry, it is hard to root against them.
  22. So, I would assume Finn was late because he was feverishly searching for the Soap Opera cancer cure? Too bad Bridget only just found out; she could have thrown in an assist with Google.
  23. Katie's dress! Va Va Va Voom! I absolutely loved it. Actually, I thought everyone looked really nice. I love Zende's bald head; I have always had a thing about bald men. One of my earliest crushes was Geoffrey Holder (Punjab and The Uncola Man), who I found fascinating and terrifying at the same time. But there were glaring omissions; no Finn, Hayes, Kelly, Douglas, Beth, or Taylor. I would even include Liam, who may be the most hated guy in Bell LA right now, but he was still Steffy and Hope's husband and is the father of two of Eric's grandkids. I might even say Bill, that would have added some intrigue to the party for sure. Pam and Charlie too. So, it looks like Soap Opera cancer has gotten ahold of Eric. They have certainly taken great pains to make him look haggard and ill. I would guess that Finn is absent because he will be the attending physician when Eric is rushed to the hospital.
  24. If this Eric is dying SL is for real, then I would have expected much more from Show. How can they send one of two remaining originals and a core character away without a proper goodbye to all of his family? Kristin, Felicia and Rick are off on Safari? WTF? These actors should have been contacted months before a SL like this was started to make sure of their availability. I guess if they didn't want to return that would be one thing, but my gut tells me this is Show's usual ham-fisted writing style, and little or no thought was given to how wrong it is to have the family Patriarch dying with half his family on board. And what about Bridget? No mention of her at all. Ronn Moss should have been contacted too; even if he came back as LDG; he at least would have been able to say his farewells. It was nice to see Windsor though. And it was nice to have some Eric flashbacks for a change, although there were not nearly enough, and much of Eric's 36 years were not covered. I am glad they allowed someone to remind Brooke about her deep history with Eric and allowed her to grieve for her ex-husband and friend without having to support her manchild husband. But I am going to call bunk on all of it. I haven't read anything about JM leaving. I think he will collapse at the party and will be transported to the hospital where Finn will save the day.
  25. Ok, so Eric dying is a really big deal, but three straight days of everyone standing around talking about it was a bit of overkill. At least break it up with some other SL here and there. I said way back in the beginning that Eric would somehow be saved, and Ridge would be regretting his decision to "let" Eric win the showdown. As some fellow posters have speculated; Finn will no doubt come to the rescue, maybe with an assist from Bridget. And speaking of Bridget, shouldn't she and Rick be told about this? Not to mention Thorne, Felicia and Kristin. Sometimes Show is so shortsighted and insular that they can't see the forest for the trees. Maybe the upcoming party will see a return of the full Forrester clan? I guess all we can do is hope.
