Judging was all over the place. Naomi’s bread pudding wasn’t transformed enough, Adam’s fruit cake was too different from the original… also, all these brown and muted desserts would never have passed Nancy’s scrutiny a couple years ago…

I think the judges would have loved it if she’d used it for something completely random. They would have praised her “ingenuity” - like Jody using the sous vide machine to temper chocolate. Personally I have never heard of using a sous vide machine for anything other than cooking meat, so I thought he got a really difficult gadget too. I agree the displays looked amazing!

I don’t mind Jose and his attitude. I think he’s funny. Adam is clearly heads above any of these other people. Jody was pissed about the marzipan. Why do I get the feeling he’s hard to live with? LOL Also: it was Richard who made the peppermint cream cheese, not Jose.

I love Octavio’s aesthetic. I thought his model looked great. Everything he does is very meticulous yet appears effortless.

Katie’s looked like a play on a straight jacket. I liked it. Somehow it looked more modern than anything else up there. I’m sorry but Bones’ green and gold thing was hideous. As were at least half the safe looks.

I also call foul on Guillermo’s cake telling the “story” of the killer. It was a mummy, pumpkin and two other random things stacked on top of each other.

As soon as it was between Megan and Guillermo, I knew Megan was out. These shows are starting to seem very scripted to me…hmm. Speaking of scripted..Renee wins!

I liked the dark blue crop top and pants combo by Shantell (?) I wish they’d show more of the other designers’ work.

That was a great runway. I barely even understand the fight though. Did they show us the whole thing? I feel like I missed something.

I just watched his season of Top Chef Just Desserts out of summer boredom. If you think you hate him now…

I think Sherelle was out of her league with the rest of the bakers, but good for her for lasting this long.

I like Adina. I think she’s the most talented one there. Her flavors are so interesting.

What was the announcement for Azah, when she and big D were on the couch? I rewound and still couldn’t understand what they were saying.

I didn’t even understand Derek and Ky’s conversation. Wasn’t Derek just trying to get Ky to say that he (Ky) was planning on taking Derek to final two? If so, why didn’t Ky just say that, whether it was true or not??

Even if the situation was explained to Alyssa the same way it was explained to Claire, that can’t be ok with Alyssa. She was basically just told she’s going next regardless (unless she wins hoh).

I don’t think keeping Claire is good for Tiffany’s game. If it somehow ends up with those two in the final, Claire could get a lot of votes from other “victims” of the cookout, as well as votes from people who are impressed with her staying power against all odds. Oh and members of the cookout who now hate Tiffany. whereas if Claire’s on the jury, Tiffany would get Claire’s vote.

I’m confused - if the pan was burning on top of the stove, why was the fire inside the oven? I miss Derek X :(

Everyone must know who the secret hoh is right? They have literally nothing else to think or talk about in that house . I’m sure they figured it out. Also: that movie did not look good .
