I believe Kelli asks that way to see if the gal is feeling what they are feeling.

I think it was a redundant, almost cruel question. Kelli was going to cut her; why initiate a back-n-forth conversation that was only inviting the girl to expose her heart and open her to humiliation?

    Draaaaaaaamah ?

I'm so glad Bethany had the poise to swat that question away!

  2. Spoiler

Knowing that Kyndall gets cut on the last day of this season's training camp, it KILLED me to see Kyndall and Jessika's segment. Poor Kyndall. ?

Kyndall & Jessika's segment was really sweet ?

I just felt the show makes it sound like they are held to a high standard.  My point was that is a lot of marriages for a young girl.  Maybe there is more to it...

So she might suck at choosing men. Most of us do at some point. Maybe she's too trusting. Maybe she's whatever. Maybe she's worked it all out with her latest and able to move on into a long and happy relationship. I know too many who sit and rot in completely unsuitable relationships, so power to her.

    Queen on, ladies.

  4. Yes @KnyghtRyder! I totes see Katie Holmes in Whitney now you mention it. The cheekbones and the slight lopsided lip thing when speaking - I found it endearing and cute. Her eye colour is beautiful. I'm sad DCC didn't happen for her, she pushed hard in the office which seemed so awkward, but, nothing ventured, nothing gained - sigh.

I can't see Jackie making it much further. Her face doesn't read well for me, is it a confidence issue where she's holding back?

Amy Amy Amy. Gosh. I find her so adorable, what a beautiful face, and her hair frames it so well. But she's struggling dance-wise...

Emily surprised me - she's really on top of the vacant-frozen-stare thing she used to have going on with her eyes. Girl knows how to make the most of her cheekbones, I love her makeup. She seems so much more open personality-wise and I hope she goes far. Her Mavs experience really gave her some polish.

i love seeing more dancing this year. Thanks CMT ?

  5. "Sending messages" like that ^^^ is so passive-aggressive. People aren't psychic, how can one be sure that they're getting the intended message if it's not clearly communicated?

Stuff like that drives me mental! It's akin to 'Gaslighting', and people who regularly do that kind of thing are sliding into emotional abuse.

A friend of my daughter's told me that one of her sorority sisters' mother is either a former DCC or she's important within the Cowboys organization.  This girl apparently tells everyone who will listen that she is a shoo-in when she tries out.  She's the president of the sorority, so I imagine she's a senior this year.  Who knows, we might see her on MTT next year!  Her name is one of the more unusual girls names I've heart in my life, so she sure won't be hard to spot.

Haha I can't believe we're already on the investigative hunt for 2017+ talent!

I keep getting errors also. I've been reading all fixes  on iTunes forum, but nothing has worked so far. I'm very sad. ?

I had issues too. Once the store was supposedly working, it still didn't work for me until I reset my ipad. (About 24 hours ago now).

  8. Wow... I never would have thought that Kelli's discussions with girls called into her office could be more pointless than Melissa Rycroft's chit chats. What was shown of Kelsey & Amy's call-ins just seemed so shaming; not particularly constructive!

Surely they could have achieved far more by telling Kelsey they wanted to see more of this articulate girl, "because btw you were top 10, you're on the right track so please work on x,y,z and you've got to pick up the choreo faster" or something. Harping on past negatives (a) year/s later is just provocative and unlikely to bring out the best in someone!

HAHAHAHA I am Kelli's age and about 100 lbs heavier so that would be hilarious!!!

They'd end up with a whole episode of "bless her heart"s, "perhaps it's time to move on to her next dream" and look out if someone makes it to finals because that fan vote will be ours for the taking (come on you ladies with skills!)

Was Jackie the vote winner?  Usually they profile the vote winner- maybe they will do so in an upcoming episode?

They took so many into training camp (47?) that I wonder if she is another "wouldn't have made it without the fans" - if so, I'm glad she hadn't been featured at the expense of anyone else, and I guess we'll hear it discussed next ep or whenever she gets called in...

I may have missed it, but I did not hear Kelli say "this is the most talented group of finalists we've had" like she usually does when they announce who is going to TC. Maybe the caliber of talent amongst the people who auditioned this year was  a little lower than in the past?  JMHO

Pretty sure I heard that phrase a few times! Not sure that Kelli herself said it. But I'd be inclined to agree that it's a talented year.

Have there been many things the DCC has said 'absolutely no' to or 'you HAVE to put this in'?

Kelli to CMT: you MUST show my revolutionary scoring system. Deal breaker.

Yeah that's fine, but Brenda should then ALSO go after the other 50 girls who wore attire more appropriate for the club. Why single out Kat? IMO there were less appropriate outfits than hers.

Wow, mind boggles to think that Brenda had that same bitchy, drawn-out, ridiculously overplayed  conversation with like 50 different girls

I say we all sign up to audition, show up in nude colored outfits (heavily bedazzled), and have our 90 seconds of fame. We do our best to show up in the circus music section; routines should include at least one rolling around on the floor, twerking, and some shimmying.  We could have orange streaks from our self tanner and really teased hair. For those who want to take it seriously, points to making it to semis.  And we'll all put on "Previously TV" t-shirts while waiting to see if our numbers are posted!

Bonus points for ugly crying and claiming it's your lifelong dream. And an awkward poem.

Brenda reminds me of one my colleagues who feels very passionate about the students we allow into the program and their behavior.  This is because we were interested in outcomes such as reputation of our program, positive feedback from partners, rigor of program, and how easily students were licensed and hired.  This is for college level nursing program where often students go through 2 sets of interviews.  Some prospective students showed up to interviews in scrubs or jeans.  My colleague would say, "Did you know you were coming for an interview today?  Is this what you usually wear to an interview?"  That was usually followed with a withering look by her so I understand the depth that comes with Brenda's question.  These may not always be the most polite but we had one fabulous program due to the standards we held to during the application process.  OK, taking my soap box and going to surf the web!!

Yeah that's fine, but Brenda should then ALSO go after the other 50 girls who wore attire more appropriate for the club. Why single out Kat? IMO there were less appropriate outfits than hers.

    SUCH A CUTE PHOTO!

    Group 3 photo above:

Is it just me... because I'm thinking wow, such a bad angle for the shorts. The shorts look yuck on everyone except for Amy. Jenna's shorts look like they're Brazilian cut; most others look pretty much the same; and Yuko's shorts are like 2 inches higher on the waist than anyone else's. Ick to all but Amy's...

I mean, they all look super-wedgilicious uncomfortable...

Hmm I wanna say Melissa? I think that's what I've read on here. Can you imagine being the last one called, omg I'd be in bits

A vet called last seems far more dramatic to me. If only Amy just walked up normally with a little fist pump instead of half collapsing in the aisle!

They could totally play up the "we only have one more name to call" angle by showing the three vets in that moment. Then segue into the issue of two vets not making it back and why. It's ridiculous to leave that storyline as Kat & to some extent Caila's major faux pas being only their presentation at interview.

  18. 1. Kat's dress was not any worse than half the girls. I would rate very few of them to be "business dress" if they were truly held to that standard. Kat looked positively demure compared to some. Brenda was completely out of line and it was very unfair to attack Kat like that. All the vets deserve to be supported to show their best side, and Kat sorely needed to show her strong ambassadorial qualities to have a chance.

    2. It REALLY bugs me when solos are described as "this is when the girls get to show us what they're best at" - nek minnit, Kat doing what she's best at, rhythmic gymnastics, is rubbished?? It's a very unique talent that few can be accomplished at. Candidates have a chance to show off DCC style in the next portion of the process doing their DCC choreography so I don't see what the problem is with doing anything they want in their solo.

2b. I adore Kat but I get why she was cut. She wasn't looking her best. Such a shame and she's looked great in dance videos since, posted to her Instagram.

    3. I agree with those above who've said that Jay's Wall question was not so much about inviting a political discussion as it was a chance to demonstrate diplomacy in responding gracefully to a hot topic. I've no doubt that DCC are schooled well in the art of tactfully negotiating tricky questions like that without giving anything away about their personal opinion; those moments would possibly come up a lot during appearances.

    4. CMT I love you for producing such a fantastic episode! I like that we are seeing more flattering depictions of pretty much everyone, and we're getting some new angles on how things are shown. Please stretch out this episode and show us more solos next year!

    5. I rolled my eyes about the psoriasis sob story. I can't believe that made the cut, it just wasn't very interesting! All power to the girl at the centre of that one, but surely there was more interesting stuff than that to show in this episode.

Sounds like a good episode tonight. Now some of us will patiently wait to be able to download it on I-tunes.

Omg iTunes loaded it faster than they have in all of history! I hope they stay on top of it all season! I've just downloaded and can't wait to watch!

Emily looked breathtaking!!! As soon as I saw her I gasped!!! What improvement!!! I know in the dance world she's not the best dancer but she is better now after the Mavs than I've ever seen her. If I were K or J I would have kept her around for the holy cow she's hot factor lol!! She would have been a knockout on that field!!!

Yep I thought she looked much less "stare-ish" than last time - but the camera wasn't on her long enough to really see it if it was still happening. (I guess it musta been, as Kelli and others brought it up ?) It looked discomforting last time, but this time round she just looks so polished and totally gorgeous from what I saw.

last time she was on, she actually cracked & showed real emotion (and good humour) when she was called into the office to get cut. She seemed so much more real and relatable. I hope she gets the performance face down.
