So I've kind of talked this over with a current long standing Vet...I think I'm going to resign from posting. I've been talking this particular girl about the board and she and I both are somewhat emotionally invested.
A lot of these girls are my close friends. We have pool days or go to brunch and have fun. I see these girls in the best light possible. So I go to bat for them because I love them. And as a viewer you all are entitled to your opinion and I can't say that if I didn't know them that I would think differently.
i probably shouldn't have gotten on the board in the first place, admittedly.
maybe I'll post again in the future after the squad is announced.
A couple of your posts have made me wonder. I think you're really in a very difficult position if you choose to keep posting, like a double life! I totally get it and I realise how conflicted you must be about it. It must be impossible not to take some things personally when people post stuff that's way off the mark, and you'll only end up being triggered and overly invested in a forum that ultimately probably isn't worth so much of your energy. Like holding back a tide with a shovel.
I appreciate your contributions. If you can manage to not get drawn in, drop in every now and then with a tidbit or two!
Without you and a couple of other inside posters, most of our info is soooooo wildly off course I'm sure, and we're all on a wild goose chase!

To be cut now, you'd have to feel pretty ripped off to have missed out on the chance of Mavs auditions.

I dread it too. Of course the cuts are going to happen but I'm not baying for the blood to run!

I'm sure Kelli & Judy have gone over and over DCC-appropriate ettiquette with the girls. As long as they followed whatever guidelines were laid out for them I wouldn't think there would be an issue. Surely one of the perks of being a DCC is social popularity but obvs you could never really let your hair down in public!
ETA although unflattering photos can happen anytime, anywhere, if you're on your best manners and not doing anything sleazy then noone's going to get footage of anything untoward. What would be much trickier is a private party where a girl might be tempted to be more relaxed in her standards...

Having said that, and thinking that those girls would now be shoo-ins, there's nothing quite like being up in front of a crowd to make a good performer rise to the occasion. It's actually a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate a level of showmanship that is almost impossible to replicate in any TC situation.
I'm sure the appropriate disclaimers would have been made if required: "we're giving you a chance to show how great you can be out there in a true performance situation".
Theyre not going to put anyone out there that they don't think are ready for it.

Judy wouldn't look as good as she does without that hair. She's pretty wrinkled but doesn't seem to be to spotted, then again, she is perpetually tan and that hides a lot.
I agree about Kelli and the casual suits in the early days of MTT. I think she had a thyroid problem too which wreaks havoc on your hair and your weight.
I definitely think Kelli could rock the dances if she wanted to!
Kelli is a lady who really knows how to carry herself. The whole show wouldn't be nearly as compelling to watch without her poise.

Do not judge!
I follow lots of the Real Housewives on social media because I have horrible taste in TV:) Tamra from RHOC just posted this video from the Advocare event she is at.
Looks like Madeline performing with show group.

Madeleine! Yes!!!! If only the video was a little less rushed when panning over the girls!
It seems like such a big deal is made out of TC being like an apprenticeship in which all RC have yet to earn the uniform until the "you've made the team" moment; especially when there is that idea that RC are labelled as alternates only for show group and still yet to earn their place. I can't imagine they'd be putting TCCs out there on an appearance unless they are pretty much guaranteed a spot.

If I recall correctly, in several previous seasons Kelli & Judy have referred to the first preseason game as "next week" when teaching across-the-field and making final cuts. DK how closely this aligns with reality however ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm surprised some of the girls on the bubble haven't just keeled over with nerves over making the team. Next week will be the bloodbath of all bloodbaths - great for TV but it feels very cruel that these are real people with a whole summer invested in this. I can't even imagine how humiliating it would be to get cut now, feel strung along, and for it to be public viewing ?

I hope not, that would be such a shitty thing to do
Yeah that would be super cruel & mean.
If I recall right, Txstar confirmed earlier that the squad could be no bigger than 36 due to wages. So the cuts are going to happen.
If I knew I was on the bubble, I'd be seeking to meet with Kelli and Judy to give me a realistic appraisal of my chances whilst I still had audition options elsewhere; I don't know if that would be seen as appropriate or acceptable, or viewed as not being "committed enough" to DCC - but really, to waste a year of life to simply be cannon fodder for late cuts in K&J's office is ridiculous.

Whoever posted this rumor needs to get a life. I was a teammate of Amy's last year. I can tell you first hand that the majority of us are always dieting and drank very little during the season. Even if you have one drink at the Christmas party, you feel light headed. Also, DCC are approached by players regularly at events/parties/bars, etc. Players don't care about rules...the DCC do! I wish you knew Amy as a person. She was an awesome teammate. If you needed anything, she would be there for you. Also, if you did go out for a birthday dinner, she was one that you could ALWAYS count on for a ride or to make sure you get home safely.
Thank you for coming in & posting! x

Tips tips! Give me tips!
Can I use the UK site too? Or do you need to switch permanently?
I'm in Australia. I have an Aus acct & a US account, you just have to use a different email address for each. You can have items from up to 5 different iTunes accounts on your devices. iBooks is a bit funny about it though and only likes 1 account at a time.
You'll need to buy a iTunes gift card from the US to set up a payment method, (unless you have a US credit card). There are reputable sellers out there, try eBay and pay with PayPal.
You can then set up your account - there are a few ways to do it - in your browser or in your iTunes Store app. Basically you need to make sure you select the country as "US", make up an address, and use the iTunes gift card to set up your payment method - that way you don't need to enter a US credit card.
If you google "US iTunes account" you'll get heaps of step-by-steps. It's super easy. If the UK iTunes store is anything like the Australian store (pathetic and limited), a whole new world will open up for you!

Wow, those girl are already worn out, I can't even imagine a quick trip to Japan. 6,500 miles and a 13 1/2 hour flight one way, there and back would be brutal. I lived in China for a couple of years and I had perpetual jetlag. LOL! This dedication just makes me love Yuko even more.
If Yuko's had to go and sort out visas in Japan yet hasn't been cut from camp, Kelli & Judy must LOVE her like crazy. I can't imagine them even making that exception for missing so much of TC, let alone setting a precedent; Yuko must be really special!

ha i wish that were true...i have a round face (even at 31!) and it is so hard to make look thinner and everyone thinks i'm like 19. it blows because i'm not overweight so if people just see my face they assume. that is prob why I feel for maddie and even bethany - it's something they can't help and they are both still beautiful! there is such a prejudice against round faces in the entertainment world. trust me, i'd change it if could!
Two words: drag queens! Amazing skills right there at makeup-related trickery if you're prepared to wear a full-on face of makeup. I hope Madeleine is able to pull through whatever criticisms she's facing in TC and it's not something as small as that that stops her being part of the team.

If you remember how, please can you let me know! Have you noticed lots of episodes have gone off of YouTube recently as well?
They better not play about like this in August ?
I don't have the VPN set up anymore to test it out unfortunately! I just can't remember beyond some kind of drop down box on the left hand side, and that there was an awkward way of accessing the videos.
I've never watched on YouTube. Best thing I ever did was set up my US iTunes account, and everything from season 3 onwards is there.

A couple years ago I set up a VPN to act like I was in the US and I managed to watch Season 1 & 2. I remember it asking for cable providers and such and I can't remember how I got around that but I did. Have they tightened it up recently?

I have watched every season on CMT on-line. I just had to add my cable provider and account number.
But that only works if you're in the US!

Nope, not available there either. I just rely on you guys instead haha
Sort yourself out with a US iTunes account, problem solved (but still can't get season 1 or 2 there ?) the only frustrating thing is that it takes a variable amount of time - a day or three - for the show to appear after airing!
The only tricky thing to navigate is that you need to buy iTunes gift cards online to set up funds for your account unless you happen to have a CC with a US address. There are a few reputable sellers out there.

I'm sure that there was at least one season that everyone was required to participate in showgroup auditions. It hasn't seemed like that in every season though.

So the company that makes DCC practicewear is also making practicewear for the other Cowboys dance team. Kind of makes the DCC stuff (which always seemed like a little much to me) seem quite understated.
YIKES!!!!

I have to agree.. She probably may have just tried out for fun the first few times and then finally realize that this is something that she probably wanted to do. Don't get me wrong I'm sure she tried to study her second time around but probably didn't put as much effort as she thought she had to. I don't understand why it "irks" you because there's nothing bad about the interview to me. It seemed very personal IMO and she seems quite intelligent like others have said. I'm still rooting for all the returning ones!! #teammaddy #teamkelsey #teamamy #teamemily
We get so much of the overly dramatic, super-earnest "I want this worse than ANYONE" spiels on the show that I think sometimes it's hard to remember that many of these girls are much more ambivalent and (lol) "trying out on a whim". Opportunity is there, so suit up and have a go, but not waking up every morning for years with that goal in mind!

Judy is only a couple of years younger than Kitty Carter. Digest that for a little bit. I love Kitty, but she could take some style tips from Judy.
I hear you! My impression is that Kitty is a very pragmatic kind of lady who likes to get on with life and prefers to spend time just living her life rather than getting wrapped up in time-consuming self-obsessions. Maybe a "been there done that" mentality with the beauty queen stuff, and happy to let it go and be low maintenance. Not that she's letting herself go or anything, but she's a secure person who is happy in herself.
Thats not to diss Judy's style either, but she clearly looks after herself well and power to her!
42 minutes ago, cgloss said:This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I want Judy to cut her hair.
I honestly can't imagine her with hair any different to what it is! It seems so synonymous with her personality. What other styles could you see on her?
