  1. If they make a team member turn out to be a mole, I will stop watching.
  2. I've noticed that many posters don't think that Benton's plan made sense. I think that there are two explanations: 1) Benton tried to appeal to his father, but ended up murdering him in self defense. He snapped and, after abducting the kids, devised the plan to murder Rebecca with Amelia's help. He already knew how to find her, but only succumbed to his urges and made up the plan after murdering his father and abducting the kids out of necessity. 2) Benton had been planning to take Rebecca all along. He arrived home expecting to find his father and murder him in order to eliminate any possible threat and delay the disappearance being reported, then abduct the kids. But the father wasn't at home, the kids were. So he decided to wait for him: if he had left, the kids could have told their grandfather about him and he could have gotten in hot water. He tried to appeal to his father, gain his and the kid's confidence, so the murder and abduction would go smoothly later, but the father didn't react well, so Benton had no choice but to murder him, then abduct the kids. He kept Andy in order to gain Rebecca's trust until they were to reach the destination, make them both believe that he didn't want to hurt them, making it easier for him to control them. When Andy became too much of a danger (driving the car off the road), he tried to murder him, took Rebecca and followed through with an abduction plan. Maybe he was intentionally taunting the father in order to both eliminate him and gain the hostages' trust. (Of course, that doesn't explain why did he make Andy watch him murder the security guard.)
  3. There is also one very good David/Alex fic. It isn't very canon since (Alex's husband, background) since it was written during season eight, but it is an interesting AU story and a good follow up to "Zugzwang" http://archiveofourown.org/works/680956 Aaand this is my fanfic, kind of bizarre https://m.fanfiction.net/s/10944793/1/Magnificent-Light Thank you, this is a really great thread!
  4. I have actually really liked the episode, only due to the unsub. A really great actor and an interesting take on his pathology. His belief that he was "jinxed". It came off that all those violent acts were a way of his to deal with his inner pain and that he was regretting them despite enjoying them. That nobody really understood him and he had been met with nothing but pain, being unable to do anything right, find happiness, so he, himself, became cruel. Most of the unsubs are basically that but I have rarely ever felt it the way I have in this episode. He sounded more sad than sadistic or hateful. And a pretty interesting pathology-rapist and proxy killer turned spree killer. Also, his murders were much more realistic than the ones we usually see on this show. Of course, the ending scene was a pure contrast to his human side. I was left wondering, had he been honest the first time around in some way or just tried manipulating the hostages into following his orders? The whole episode had a country song feel to it. Other than that, the episode was pretty lame, especially Aaron/David subplot. I don't like that they have gotten rid of Beth, especially that way, although the actresss has left the show. And there was a serious lack of Reid. And not enough profiling but the unsub made up for it.
  5. A matter of taste I'd say. It's the only Criminal Minds ship that I enjoy so far and the only one I can actually see happening.
  6. I can't exactly pinpoint an exact moment, I think after "A Place at the Table".
  7. 1. I hope that they will address the events from "Mr. Scratch". 2. More Spencer. 3. More profiling. 4. Stop showing the unsub's action alongside of the investigation so often and so much. 5. Also, maybe bring Dorian Locker back. Or at least that Einstein girl from "Hero Worship". Even if you are not planning to make either of them a friend/love interest for Reid! 6. It would be interesting to see Kate Micucci or Kristen Bell cast as an unsub. 7. More episodes based on real life cases-Charlie Brandt and Wesley Miller could be interesting ones. 8. If Beth isn't coming back, I'd like to see Aaron end up with Jessica. 9. Unless it turns out to be really awesome, make season eleven be the last. I am also glad that Kate Callahan won't be coming back for season eleven. She had some good scenes but didn't really fit. She is my least favorite female lead after Elle. I've heard that they will not bring another female lead in right away but have several guest stars before casting the character permanently. I think that is good. I've actually written the way I see season eleven premiere happening https://m.fanfiction.net/s/11424655/1/Fall

  11. What are your opinions about each season? What things have you enjoyed in each particular season, what things have you not, and what do you miss? I know that my post is really long, but I can't help myself. You don't necessarily have to read it in order to answer the question. Season one is gold, I think. Everything. Sherlock and Joan (I mean, Jonny and Lucy) in a top form, brilliant fast pace and display of Sherlock's deduction skills, beautiful character development regarding both Sherlock and Joan, so natural, and, oh my God, a Moriarty arc. Grade: 10/10 Season two, I think, was kinda disappointing, because: 1 The constant character growth and exploration that had been present in season one was lacking in season two. That doesn't apply to the whole season two, just the second half. 2 The pace of the show became much slower also. 3 The good thing about season one were recurring characters-Joan's mother, Alfredo, Joan's friends-that would not only provide some more subtle character development and comic effect but also bring a special kind of charm to the show but also create a better sense of Sherlock and Watson as individuals. They were barely featured in season two, and some of them weren't featured at all. 4 And don't get me started with Sherlock and Mycroft relationship. No chemistry, and it ended up getting portrayed as love strong enough to make Joan move away from Sherlock, with barely any foreshadowing or a build up. 5 Joan seemed cold towards Sherlock. A lot. I know that many people like season two and I just want to say that I respect their opinion and that I myself don't really hate season two. First half was excellent (minus the Joan/Mycroft reveal), especially 2x2 "Solve For X" and 2x12 "The Diabolical Kind". Grade: 7/10 Season three, as I've already stated, had been, in my opinion, an improvement. Much more interesting and original cases, more closeness and character development between Sherlock and Joan, the recurring characters featured in season one made at least one appearence, which would mostly bare some importance, a change of pace, and although the Kitty arc could have been better, I've enjoyed it, and the show's adaptation of her story. Grade: 8.5/10 But one thing the writers have to stop doing, in my opinion, is making murders and investgations take place in remote or village locations. Elementary in season one and first half of season two had a very urban and almost futuristic vibe and, although sesson three had been making up for that pretty good with interesting cases and many plots involving a high technology, the landscapes are still pretty underwhelming. That has to be toned down. Also, were they using a different camera technique in season one? Because, now that I am rewatching season one, the colors look much brighter and even the picture seem to be of a higher quality somehow (I've been watching all seasons on the same television, same programme). Maybe I am imagining things. Anyway, what I am saying is: Elementary is a very complex show with very complex character development and unique season arcs, and characters are relatible and therefore their storylines and acting performances leave quite an impression even on casual viewers, let alone the fans of the show, a d there are many changes, development and new characters every season. So, I just want to know, what are your opinions about seasons (NOT THE SHOW OVERALL) 1, 2, 3, what do you think could improve (not necessarily in comparisson to earlier seasons), what things do you miss, what season you think is the best, etc. It doesn't have to be as long as my post. I just want to know how other fans feel.
  12. Hi! I'm a big Elementary fan and new at this forum. I want to share the idea that had been in my mind for a while... I have my own idea for the next season premiere. I think that some of it could take place. It turns out that Sherlock didn't relapse, despite getting very close to, but he actually ended up murdering Oscar in self defense. There was no evidence to prove that the murder wasn't self defense, but the police had their suspicions, causing him to be put under suspension and possibly face drug possession charge at least, since he had disposed of the narcotics that he had stolen before calling the police but it was later recovered with his fingerprints on it. He was not only facing legal charges, but was upset greatly over what had happened. Joan was the one to contact Sherlock's father, causing him to go back to New York and try to help Sherlock. Due to an investigation and helped by his father's influence, Sherlock ended up getting cleared of all charges and being free to get back to work, but still decided-and was advised- to "take a break" from his work as a consultant and a detective, and started taking some psychiatric sessions. The premiere episode opens in September, with Sherlock resuming his work, to an apparent dislike from his father, who, apparently, sees this situation as an opportunity to get Sherlock to move back to London (and yes, I know that the talk about that in season two was a ploy from Mycroft). Sherlock takes over the case that detective Bell and captain Gregson had been working on in the past, but had never solved: a young, healthy woman was found dead in her house; the cause of death hadn't been determined, and in weeks prior to the murder she had reported a suspicious man moving around her house at night, as well as hearing weird, whistle like noises under her bedroom window. Police had investigated those claims, but hadn't gotten very far. Shortly before her death, she had sent a text message to her sister, reading simply "A Speckled Band". That happened late in 2011, when Sherlock was at the height of his addiction and wasn't working for NYPD yet, neither was that keen on studying the cases happening throughout the city. Now, almost four years later and with the anniversary of the victim's death approaching, the victim's sister, living in a completely different neighborhood, also reports seeing a strange man moving around her house at night and hearing whistle like noises. The suspects include their abusive stepfather, the victim's possessive ex boyfriend and a registered female sex offender who lived close to the victim in 2011 and is now living close to the victim's sister. Obviously, that would be an adaption of "The Adventure Of The Speckled Band". I doubt that the writers will follow through on that (please please please please please) but I have really enjoyed season three, even more than season two which I think was bland at the times, and I am sure that they are going to give us the great premiere.
