Social Media: What's Up With Her?
peachybean replied to ClareWalks's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
That name would really benefit from some capitalization. I’m reading the site as “nobs active”. I’m enjoying it, but probably not the response she was going for. I suggest noBSactive or NoBSactive -

She got the name of her show wrong in the hashtag. Did she leave out “Fat” on purpose or has she read so many compliments about weight loss that she thinks it doesn’t apply to her anymore? Regardless, it’s a hashtag fail. -
Worst of Golden Girls: Your Least Favorite Moments

I like the episodes for a couple of lines. I love the “a-coming” exchange at the beginning. I also always LOL when Sophia says “Angelo, I’m in trouble” and he responds “Then the boy will marry you”.- 818 replies

Murder, She Wrote - General Discussion
peachybean replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Murder, She Wrote
I love almost all of the Cabot Cove episodes and Cabot Cove adjacent episodes (A Lady in the Lake in the 2nd season wasn’t actually set in CC but had Amos and Seth in it). All time favorites for comfort viewing are If It’s Thursday, It Must Be Beverly from season 4 (so many naughty jokes!) and Keep the Home Fries Burning from season 2. Favorite non-CC episode is Curse of the Danaav from season 4. My Jonny Lies Over the Ocean is a great one for the silliness. I have a gif of Jessica flirting with Ramon saved on my phone waiting for the right opportunity I really wish the show was streaming somewhere. I’d buy a subscription just for that. -
Nancy Moyer. I liked this episode. People acknowledged her riskier behaviors so she wasn’t treated like a saint without judging her as deserving a terrible fate.

I agree that all signs point to her having fallen off the boat. This wasn’t a gripping story to watch. If she had last been seen with crew members (not counting iffy 5am sightings) or if there had been a pattern of young women disappearing from cruise ships near that island, then there might be a case for abduction. Also the brother was suspicious of the crew member who “knew” before an announcement over the loudspeaker. I’m assuming that the crew would have been told well before they alerted the guests of a problem. Felt like grasping at straws.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
peachybean replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
That commercial is terrifying to me. It looks like the athletes are attached to the machines and can’t leave. I think we’re supposed to be in awe of their dedication, but I don’t see it. That Match asshole is back. The worst one IMO is the guy who didn’t “make the conversion” with a woman he was interested in. Newsflash, assface. She has agency and gets to make decisions too. You were friend zoned. Deal with it. -

Yes to everything you wrote, lizzbert! The Cabot Cove episodes are the best. I really wish they had done episodes set in a neighboring town like Morgan Bay to keep some of the core characters involved. I loved Lady in the Lake from the 2nd season. Jessica definitely got lots of offers (so many frisky older men on this and Golden Girls!). I don’t remember her being tempted by any of them... -
I agree but I think, for families, having all of the person to bury is part of their grieving process. It has to be unsettling to wonder where your dad’s arm is and dreading the idea that it could be found at any time and bring the whole thing right back up again. As a viewer, hearing about dismemberment helps me make up my mind when the motive or evidence is weak. Snapped has had a few cases like that.

Agreed. If Shep was actively pursuing relationships and still very single, then your mom might ask what’s wrong with him. But it’s Shep. He makes no effort (his whole appearance) and has sex when it’s offered from young women in temporary and physical terms. I do love seeing how little game Shep actually has!

I hadn’t thought of that. That would be a good reason for supportive undergarments. Whit seems in such denial that her body can be uncomfortable, which is true of bodies at any size. -

Why is she wearing Spanx on a NO body shame cruise?!? That is not the clothing choice of someone comfortable and confident in their size.
