  1. Her outrage is instantly soothed with that crappy tennis bracelet too. As soon as Brandon says he returned the ring, she's all gooey, "You did?" UGH!
  2. Love the "the bracelet is already turning the box green." Bwahahahahahahaha
  3. Tori dated Vincent Young (Noah) after they met on set so that wouldn't surprise me. Yes, the season 8 pairing happened really quickly after the season started, maybe 5-6 episodes in (which is quick for them considering the seasons when on FOREVER).
  4. I did some research to answer my own question - the CA Supreme Court is apparently extremely backlogged and it takes "decades" to get a death penalty appeal heard and adjudicated. http://beta.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-death-penalty-decision-prop-66-20170824-story.html
  5. I hate Donna and Noah together. Noah was so wooden and all Donna did was whisper at him because she was always upset.
  6. Brandon told Dylan after the "I choose me" that he had 5 years of payment lined up on the ring. Why he kept it all of that time, even after Val "recovered" it from Ginger at Kelly's boring birthday party and embarrassed him about it, is beyond me. I guess we could give the writers props for some continuity in that they never showed him with the ring after that until now, so why not make it a big plot point now? I'm grasping at straws and clearly smokin' crack since the writers sucked at continuity for the most part.
  7. I think it would have been interesting to get them together after Andrea and Brandon stopped their "whatever" with each other.
  8. I think Dylan and Kelly should have never gotten together. They clearly loathed each other from the beginning and never were happy at any point in their relationship. Brandon and Kelly, while total shitheads together and apart, did have a long period of being happy together and their buildup together was sweet, as was their reunion in season 7. I would have liked to see Brenda and David get together. It would have been interesting to see how they both would have interacted with Donna differently.
  9. I'm three quarters of the way through the final Scott Peterson episode positing all of their reasonable doubt theories. I am genuinely baffled, however, that his CA appellate proceedings haven't even started yet and the conviction was over 12 years ago. WTH? I'm an appellate attorney in a different state that imposes the death penalty and am well-versed in the process. I thought for sure most of his direct appeal and possibly ineffective assistance of counsel claims were adjudicated already as I watched the earlier episodes. Habeas can drag out for years, but the direct appeal discussing the jury selection and trial court errors should have been decided by now.
  10. Add me to the nerd brigade... Same here, except it was my dad. I still knew PLENTY of people who smoked and partied so I wasn't scandalized. I remember freshman year of high school I caught the bus with a very popular junior who had to wake and bake every morning. One morning he offered me some and I declined. Surprisingly, he was very cool about it, went about his business and never gave me any shit about it.
  11. Sarah's audio starts cutting out at the 28-29 minute mark.
  12. Donna will definitely rehash the "you were screwing around with someone else when my life was in danger" with David. She and Kelly will have the exact conversation and it sounds so ridiculous when it's happening.
  13. For the record, I was commenting on your sister's mother-in-law, not how you used it in the podcast. LOL
  14. "Stealing your beauty" is one of the most savage things I have ever heard said to a pregnant woman.
  15. As an attorney, I can attest that at a hearing to make a TRO permanent, a hearing with alleged stalking would typically not take place in a judge's chamber with everyone toe to toe. Typically, it is an actual hearing with testimony, Donna would have to be present, it would be in the courtroom, and they would be sitting at separate tables. Even if you could stretch credulity to have it in chambers, David would not be back there as Donna's boyfriend. So ridiculous.
  16. Didn't she say something like 'If I pass, I'll try and apply for a Masters'? Pretty sure Masters programs generally look for better marks than "just scrapped through". Doesn't Kelly tells Mariah, the angel chick from Texas, that she applied to or was accepted into Columbia for a master's program? NFW.
  17. I watched Ep. 2 last night with the focus on Amber Frey. I didn't follow the case as closely as others, so I was surprised they hadn't been together longer before Laci disappeared. The fact that he lied to Amber over and over and over really damaged his credibility on other things. I didn't buy Ted Rowland's explanation that what Scott was really hiding was his mistress, not his wife's murder, when he was evasive with police. He was still too cold and calculating with the press and everyone else, and lying through his teeth to Amber to not be hiding anything else.
  18. As a diehard STL Cardinals fan, I say pffffffft to Brandon using any of this for his advantage.
  19. I just finished watching this and listening to your podcast. I'm still so unnerved by the fact that so many doctors were snowed by Dee Dee, took her list of misspelled diagnoses at face value, and thinking about all of the unnecessary medical procedures Gypsy underwent.
  20. But it comes up again later this season when Dr. Martin has the stroke and Donna catches Felice talking to her ex-paramour about Dr. Martin's condition at some reunion or such. Don't let them off that easily!
  21. Kelly buys the ring back and when they get back together, she tells him it was their ring and she didn't want anyone else to have it. Maybe that's how he proposes with it?
  22. Yes...that episode is AWFUL because they have Priestley play a German jeweler too when he takes the ring back and exchanges it for a bracelet for Tracey. It's so tacky to give Tracey second-hand jewelry. What's worse, is that Tracey is just giddy he bought her a trinket! Get a clue girl - if he still has an old engagement ring for a woman he still interacts with, he's just not that into you.
  23. Speaking of Mark being such a bore, can we also talk about how marginalized Tracey is in the storylines also? I remember Brandon confessing to Tracey about his affair with Lucinda to explain some of the hearing drama and Tracey is still his cheerleader. Brandon shows zero interest in her or supporting her. She's just nothing but a placeholder for Brandon until Kelly dumps Mark and they can get back together. The later retcon of him having her photo in his drawer and being so attracted to her in Hawaii makes zero sense given how tepid and one-sided their relationship was.
  24. The professor who supervised my senior year college project related to my major asked me if he could keep a copy of my project for future reference because of the depth of research I found. So if Randall had such a hard-on for Brandon's prose, I can buy he had a copy of the paper also.
