I was just surprised to see the conversation about Jill's behavior at the airport turn to a conversation about how Jill was a public figure and had no grounds to complain about her treatment by the paparazzi or complain about victimization in the media, when she said nothing and was perfectly pleasant at the airport. I understand this is an emotive issue. I was getting a bit manic myself.

. They complained about the dissemination of their police statements about their sexual abuse, by InTouch, and that's about it. I thought InTouch was unethical in it's behavior, and I have stated that more than once, but the sisters raised this in just one interview, and have since shut up about the scandal. They did not complain about the airport photographers. They may not feel it's fair for the media to subject them to this sort of treatment, but they've actually said nothing about this, and I think people criticizing their airport behavior have jumped the gun.

Exploiting your own lives is different from exploiting a third parties life. And I just want to state that neither Jill, Derick or Jessa complained or even scowled about the media being at the airport.

It's their own sexual abuse, pregnancies and dating they would choose to exploit or not exploit.

I don't think they were paid for their interview with Fox News, and their abuse was out there courtesy of InTouch. The Duggar daughters didn't ask for their sexual abuse to be exploited by the media, they merely responded with a single interview, after their words were exploited by InTouch. They aren't drip feeding the public information about it weekly, so as to exploit the situation for maximum profit.

The Dillard's don't appear to have instagramed anything about going to Alive. Jessa Seewald did, so bothering her at the airport might have been more acceptable, but it's the frazzled new mother that's most likely to go Bjork at the airport, so I can see why they ignored Jessa.

Apparently at least two went to Ohio to record them walking out of the airport to their car. To be fair, Jill is just holding her husbands hand, and neither of them appeared to say anything.

In Australia, two shirts at once is risking heatstroke. Come visit!

He may have had his premolars removed at like 12 or something, as he's had a narrow mouth and those are the ones that orthodontists sacrifice. I had that done. Of course on a 6 foot plus frame (I'm 6'3"), it doesn't look great. He could have recently had palate widening surgery and premolar implants. A wider smile is more aesthetic. And I assume he would have been eligible for any therapeutic dentistry through his mothers insurance when he was younger, so this has gotta be aesthetic.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
kokapetl replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Perhaps not, but he's gotta know that what he did, and the revelation to the entire world of what he did, has screwed them all. He's the kind of person who would've appeared on Megyn Kelly's Softball Hour on Fox News to blame someone else if he could, but he didn't, because he can't. -
Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Well I'd assume he knows he's ruined his life, along with Anna and the kids. Upon his return to Tontitown he would have been greeted by some pissed off Duggar sisters. I hope he's realised he's figuratively fucked them as well and feels guilty -
I assume he would feel guilt that what he did has harmed his victims (after it all came out in InTouch), it might be the first time he felt guilty about their suffering though.

Doesn't Jill usually seem to have thrown on whatever? Matching clothes with her husband seems beyond the Jillards. Derick has a uniform of polos and jeans for when he's outside the house. Probably just a coincidence. I'm 32, "between jobs", depressed and have a beard. I shave it when it becomes impossible to eat and not have food get in it. I still got a full head of hair.

Michelle only cooks eggs, and she does so very carefully, one serving at a time. Do you think there's something subconscious going on there?

Derrick needs to do what Jessa is doing. Big smile, up close into the camera. I wanna see the details of his elective plastic surgery.

Arkansas Josh didn't have to worry about paying the rent on time, and may not have had to worry about paying rent at all. There's a good chance his house utilities etc were probably in grandmas name, and Jim Bob took care of them. I think Jim Bob owned the car yard, or at the very least, was the source of funding, and I think he owned at least one of the properties the car yard operated out of (they moved like 3 times on the show). Daddy could save him from true failure in Arkansas. DC Josh was solely on the hook for rent bills etc. and his FRC bosses must have expected him to earn his pay. It was the first real "leave and cleave" from his family and their money, and everyone would have understood that to be final. Of course, he's totally fucked it up for everyone, and he's returned as an unemployable failure. Bet he cried way more on the return.

I know cats like to go out and hunt, do they do that when it's snowy? Have we ever seen a dog door anywhere in their house?

If TLC had the chance, they would film that, and I would watch it.

The same guy was behind both stories. He used to work for the Enquirer and now he's at InTouch.

Like the labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral, and the trefoil spirals at Newgrange? Wouldn't that be Catholic syncretism and doubly bad?

Jill just doesn't have an eye for aesthetics in general, she didn't notice that was an acceptable photo of her baby, but a bad photo of her husband. She tapped the iPhone screen so it would focus on Israel, and the iPhone did it's wonky brightness adjustment thing that it does. I think Derick always looks clean. Ben tends to often have a bit of a sweaty sheen, and Josh looks like he sweats grease, but Derick looks like he showers at least once a day.

It's all new to those two. You not supposed to sled over animals, and you're supposed to use the old campaign signs for sledding. The cookie sheets are solely for baking cookies for firemen.
