I would think that somewhere out there in polygamy world there would be some sort of etiquette which requires a woman to ask permission of a man's other wives before she pursues him. Likewise the man should discuss prospective wives with the ones he's already got before courting anybody. But that would require being considerate of other people's feelings, which doesn't seem to be in anybody's repertoire

Actually he doesn't, that's why he's lost interest in the first three wives. Meri and Janelle were skin when he married them, but Christine was always large and he was never attracted to her.
