  1. This was from May 2016 on TripAdviser: "First time in years that I visited the brick Hotel and restaurant. Boy has this place changed and not for the better. What a cluster fub. The wait staff is very lacking but I can see why. I watched the owner berate them in front of customers. She strikes me as a little off balance. No wonder she cannot keep decent help. I asked our waitress about this and she told me she was deathly afraid to say anything. I felt bad for her, I thought she was going to cry. As far as the food is concerned that is also mediocre. No wonder this place is rated is rated so low on TripAdvisor. This is my last time here and my advice is go somewhere else." Yeah, Verindar has changed...not!
  2. I just started reading Nathaniel Philbrick's "Valiant Ambition" about Washington and Arnold and highly recommend it. I've read a lot about Washington but not much about Arnold. Appears he was interested in a fashionable Loyalist lass before Peggy when he was 36 and the girl was 16! And he was a real horndog! ;-)
  3. My father was a hotel manager (I grew up living in hotels) so I know how hard it is to run a hotel, especially one with a restaurant, competently. That's why it kills me when people like Verindar and her son buy a hotel "as an investment" having no experience in the industry.
  4. So old man Woodhull gave Simcoe the names of people who were contractors with the British army to provide food supplies knowing Simcoe would go overboard and attract the attention of his superiors? Now we know why he was prepared to give a long closing argument. Didn't know the old man had it in him.
  5. Article about Bella Ramsey (Lady Mormont): http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/game-thrones-lady-bear-island-906516 In an interview of her that I read, she said the horse she rode in the show was named "Iggy." I like that name! :-)
  6. I watched the episode again and loved it even more. I wonder who the people were at Cersei's coronation since most of her court was blown to smithereens at the Sept. Maybe she put out flyers saying "Put on your best clothes and come to the Throne Room. There will be FREE food and drink following a brief ceremony." ;-)
  7. Historically, Peggy was a very loyal wife. They had several children. The British military never respected Benedict Arnold because he was a traitor. Finally, the worst father ever does something right! I liked the contrast between Woodhull, Sr., the bad father, and Townsend, Sr., the good father. I do hope the show is renewed.
  8. I hate Thomas. The Creeper talks about Ridge trying to control their lives, but, as soon as he is given what he wants re: poor little Douglas, he stakes his claim on Caroline. It's like, screw the fact that you are married to my father, since you popped out my baby, you are mine!
  9. Thank you! I couldn't help but think that the first wife died in childbirth or from being worn down from having so many children, then the asshole goes and marries another woman to be his brood mare. i wouldn't watch Damiano because I can't understand the majority of what he says, and he is not handsome and charming enough to negate that fact.
  10. Hate to say anything good about Cersei, but I loved her silver shoulder plates. That Library is awesome! The guy at the desk was a dick, making Sam practically crawl up on the desk to give him the letter.
  11. Lady Mormont rocks! I love her! She has true grit. So glad to see Sansa get her revenge on Fray. The Fray boys! It's what's for dinner! Straight out of "Titus Andronicus." Cersei never thinks things through does she? Even though she hated Margaery, she should have kept her at the keep for Tommen's sake. Loved Lady Oleanna shutting up those Sand Snakes.
  12. I wish we could see what food sources Jose is using now. Does he record only the boat building?
  13. Amen! Thomas the Rapist gets rewarded with an innocent baby. Why did the writers show Caroline being totally wasted and unable to give consent (remember they even showed through Caroline's eyes her looking at Creeper and being unable to focus) if they were going to go with this pile of excrement development? They probably agreed with that Judge's decision in the Stanford rape case.
  14. Larry's gleeful description of how he killed that poor mouse- I speared it! I cut the bastard's throat!- made me ill. Please don't let that jerk win. Another military guy bites the dust. No surprise there. I'm tired of Jose's freaking boat. I hope all the salmon are gone by the time he is through tweaking it.
  15. Two virgins in a bright room, with that stupid "Birds Do It" song blaring, and pictures of Pilcher staring at them, are supposed to go at it like rabbits? Hey, lower the lights, put on some Barry White, and give them a six pack! :-) Margeret looked like a female Vin Diesel. Maybe she was looking for a date in WP. She was probably sick of the male Abbies' drooling and bad teeth.
  16. What is it about delusional people and small inn ownership? I read the terrible and poor reviews on TripAdviser, and their restaurant staff seemed as appalling as the owners.
  17. When Malcolm told Victor, "Vanessa is in danger," I wanted Victor to say, "No, kidding! When is she not." Vanessa's death didn't move me at all. Thousands of people died because she couldn't shoot boring Dracula when she had a chance, but let him charm her into getting bitten. I watched this season out of habit, not because I particularly enjoyed it. I'd like a spinoff with Catroina, Mr. Lyles, Dr. Seward and Takane (sp?).
  18. Could they please just kill Simcoe? Every time I hear his high-pitched, poncey voice, I want to scream. He was fun for awhile, but his shtick has grown old. How could he get away with treating a regular Royal Army officer the way he did tonight. If I were a descendant of the historical Simcoe, I would be really pissed off at this portrayal. Abe must be the most hapless, inept motherf*cker ever. ::sigh::
  19. ITA! I love Littlefinger and his deviousness, too. It doesn't hurt that I've had a crush on Aiden G. since "The Wire."
  20. That's what I have been thinking since last night.
  21. My name is Lord Baelish, and I loved this episode!
