  1. I found this on a site about teaching in Spain: “It is common for aspiring English teachers to enter Spain on a tourist visa good for a stay of up to 90 days and then stay beyond this time frame. If this is your plan, keep in mind that you will be staying illegally and all the work you do will be “under the table,” and paid in cash. This means you may not have job security or health insurance, among other things. Working legally in Spain is no problem for EU citizens. However, in order to work legally non-EU citizens need to obtain work permits. First you need to find an employer who is willing to petition for your work permit, proving that there are no Spaniards or EU citizens who can perform the job suitably. While this is not impossible, it is very difficult to prove for English teachers, since there are qualified candidates from the UK or Ireland who would not require as much paperwork. The process is also quite lengthy and can take up to a year, during which you would have to fly back to your home country to obtain and sign the documents. You will then have to apply for a visa that will allow you to reside and work in Spain for longer than the 3-month limit for tourists.” I just don’t see how the mother got an employer to sponsor her for a work visa if she is only teaching part-time. She never once mentioned proximity to work as a requirement for housing. Something’s hinky here.
  2. Madrid: No, no! Not another “HHI Family”! The mother works part-time teaching English? I don’t see how they can afford to eat. I love how Ofeibea Quist-Arcton says “Dakar”!
  3. She was going to work for a non-profit (something to do with children and families?) so she wouldn’t be making a lot. I don’t want to watch “HHI Family,” so please, no more kids parroting lines only adults would say. No more kids period on HHI!
  4. Who was that woman on the phone recording? Sorry the younger woman who was homeless had to leave. She and the older lady made a good pair. I remember a “Monsters Inside Me” episode in which a guy had coral or something similar growing inside his hand. He was a fisherman.
  5. Dallas: I loved the house they picked. That backyard was spectacular. I didn’t care for the kitchen cabinets either (too busy), but I hope he wasn’t ripping them down because the wood was beautiful and should be reclaimed. I thought of that guy in one episode who was obsessed with having a urinal in his house. Bet he was jealous if he saw this episode! ?
  6. Chicago: The younger sister was annoying. Honey, all you are entitled to is a sofa to crash on when you visit.
  7. Was that a hot tub in the corner of the “kitchen” in that chapel turned house in France? That place definitely for one person.
  8. I assume that was temporary paint made for purposes just like that.
  9. As for me, “It's good knowin' he's out there, the Dude, takin' her easy for all us sinners.”
  10. The judge didn’t order Kim to leave the court. He had just given her advice and was basically “Take the advice and scram.”
  11. Mike is da man! He is so freaking awesome. I saw the support group as a pity party too. The Salamancas don’t need no stinkin’ backup!
  12. Really! And dude worked mostly from home. Why does he need so many clothes? I was watching “Better Call Saul” so I missed the first couple of minutes. What did he do for a living? Her? Not surprised those pipes froze. That bathroom was nice, but it looked cold. I could tell it was built on a porch. Probably not well insulated.
  13. I wondered about that, too. That and Britain needing to import freshly-minted, inexperienced teachers! ? Nice to see Richard, as always.
  14. Couldn’t they have painted (or have had painted since they weren’t a fraction as handy as the WA couple) the cabinets white?
  15. Seriously! Why did she order three of those huge lights? I didn’t like blocking that window with a wine rack either. Wouldn’t very dark stained wood floors show dirt/dust more easily than lighter stained ones? I know my cats’ hair “tumbleweeds” would show more! The wife drove me nuts with her glam this and glam that. ?
  16. All of Freckle lady’s kids had freckles across their noses. I think she had a sunburn on top of all the freckles!
  17. At that age, I would have loved the loft.
  18. My cat Lord Baelish has the same toasted marshmallow coloration as Meiko. He has “points” and blue eyes, so Siamese in the mix. Sweet Max. When Shelly mentioned the dog “bucket list,” I thought of that Subaru commercial that made me bawl like a baby.
  19. Freckle lady, why bother putting on makeup later? ? Glad Scarface made it. Wanted to hug the poor baby when he looked so forlorn. The husband owner annoyed me with his hysterics. I’m very emotional about my furry kids but geeze. You should have had him vaccinated for parvo.
  20. Putting this here because I can’t find where else to put it: Mountain Life in Colorado Springs, I’m not surprised the wife needed help getting out of that bathtub. She was so top-heavy, I’m surprised she didn’t tip over. Oh, and those stiletto boots! Wonder if the oldest kid was from a prior marriage? Re: Clayton, GA: I would have chosen that house for the three bear cubs alone! Too kawaii!
  21. At least the screechy lady was nice enough to make change for the Moo Shoo girls. I doubt the wing guys would. I’ve been appalled by the prices charged too. I like value for my money!
  22. That’s what I thought every time he mentioned going to the beach! ?
  23. Auckland, NZ: Ginger Dad, you don’t need to be on the beach everyday! It was refreshing, especially after that HHF episode, to hear the mom say they didn’t need so much space. If someone asked me where I wanted to live in NZ, I would say Hobbiton! ?
