  1. What was the deal with the couple that worked at the fair? Did they both have some cognitive limitations that made them not realize their baby was sick?
  2. Gotta get him married off and tied down quickly so he doesn't pull a Phillip! A camper on the family property will likely be their only option.
  3. Neither Mina nor Karen came across as very likable in these strange episodes, which clearly they agreed to do (separately) as a money grab to help finish projects they couldn't otherwise fund.
  4. I gave up on this show after the first couple of episodes. Why are they setting up these poor contestants to fail by only giving them time for the shoddiest, half-assed work? I'd rather folks have a reasonable timeframe and design nice, functional rooms. And how is it that Ty is now the only HGTV person on this series that I can stand? The designers pushed their ideas on the contestants and the judges were straight-up annoying. HGTV, I'd like to see well-done rooms, not half-finished projects by panicked folks who need money.
  5. No budget tracking, no business plan as to how to manage and rent out these cabins? Jordan had some good points. Jon does need to think of this as a business rather than a passion project.
  6. Yes, this season is no fun at all. Tired of silly challenges and games! I'd rather give the contestants a reasonable timeframe and see nice, well-done rooms. I'd also tell Alison or Taniya to shut their mouths, get with the program and do some work! The silly competition should not be about who is the best designer; that's Rock the Block.
  7. Watched the finale last night. I certainly would have chosen Evan & Keith, based on the extra bedroom and their gorgeous ceilings and their staging. But I do see the value of solar and/or a whole house generator like Mike Holmes? installed in an earlier season, especially in Florida. I am shocked the Baumlers, who have homes in Florida and the Bahamas, didn't add a generator. I might lean towards Evan and Keith because I found the twins and Baumlers semi-annoying and was shocked at how obnoxious Page seemed, because I liked her in the past. But too much excess! Who needs 3 laundry rooms, multiple outdoor grilling stations, a fireplace in the closet, wine racks to hold massive amounts of wine?
  8. Do we just assume that those lower levels have a powder room that wasn't shown?
  9. Mostly lurk but how the heck do folks on a snark site adhere to vague guidelines with no actual direction? Sad that they've gone in this direction. I found most of the commenters here to be thoughtful and to go out of their way not to be harsh on the real victims here: the children whose parents are exploiting them for fame and money.
  10. Dear Unmarried Adult Rod kids, Here is your chance to break away. Mom and Dad cannot legally make you go back to the Barndo. Take some initiative. Get jobs bagging groceries or slinging fast food and go in together on a rental. Enjoy some small freedoms and build a life!
  11. I'm not sure Jessa and Ben -- or many of the other adults -- would notice if two out of a horde of rambunctious small kids just wandered off after they got everyone assembled. MAYBE they'd count heads when looking at the final photo or maybe the non-parents are not even sure which kid is which.
  12. Shallow but what were they wearing at the reveal? Dark-haired twin: dark midriff tank under light mock turtleneck and Maude-style long vest. Lighter-haired twin: dressed for a rock concert, denim jacket, print mini dress, patterned black pantyhose that fought with the pattern on her dress
  13. So the Baumlers again, yuck! And everyone has played before? I guess there's nobody or nothing new and exciting at HGTV.
  14. I fail to understand Mina's need to overshare every perceived wrong publicly. Her social media and podcasts are full of ego-centric whines and she seems to think she is so fascinating and amazing that folks can't get enough of her. The best outcome for her would involve no longer mixing work and extended family and putting all the resentment behind and (privately) starting fresh. What ever happened with the younger sister who was on the show a few years back and the other sister with the 2 small daughters? Is there no one she gets along with?
  15. I could have done without Christina modeling the Barbie dresses "See how cute I am!" Looking the most like Barbie of all the participants has nothing to do with design skill.
