Although it's been nearly 2 decades since they've been crowned, it really does appear that "Texas is back" as they remained solid to solidify their top ranking. Oregon's big win resulted in them replacing the team they beat, and Penn State can taste it, I guess. They're very, very close to that top ranking. They probably need for Texas to trip up, and while that's not that probable it's more probable than not that it'll be a moot point.
After matching teams within The Rankings, there's a little bit of a difference with the AP and the Coaches. Of course, both had Ohio State falling, but not by much. Can't say the same for Mississippi. The Buckeyes and UGA are reversed, and after that, it's the same 6-8. Spots 9-12 have the same 4 teams; however Tennessee fell in the AP poll in favor of Iowa State.
By the way, Army & Navy are both ranked in the AP Poll, while the latter is receiving votes in the Coaches Poll
