Nah. I'm definitely talking about the Steelers. Might as well refer to Carolina. However, it's night & day; what's different between the Panthers and Pittsburgh (sorry for a pun if there was one)...I see Pittsburgh changing nothing. Meanwhile, Carolina will, but they make the move way too early. It wasn't working & the team has nobody, but out goes the coach. The GM hasn't gone IDT. Pittsburgh moves slower than dial up Internet. Kenny getting hurt is now the worst thing that could happen to the team. They'll way too loyal, cheap, and refuse to admit any mistakes. If so, it takes 3-4 years at least. Pickett getting hurt is bad, but only because TPTB will now say we haven't seen him in enough games with the new offensive leadership. I guess that's an excuse, but the move to Eddie Faulkner & Mike Sullivan should have taken place 14 months ago. By the time they hit on the offensive side, which is never, Watt, Heyward, will be done. Minkah might be out as well. As mentioned, I see them losing out, but it's frustrating because when they win early, they lose late, but last year, they lost early, and then they won late. So they go nowhere. Either no playoffs or one-and-done. Affects the draft, as all the decent players will be gone before it's their turn. Not that it matters anyway

I can't blame you for not keeping up. It's football season, so that's going to be the case for everyone. Of course, the shock people will have after the football season ends might be interesting. I might laugh, but as mentioned, $500,000,000 isn't an amount someone's saying, "No thanks I good." The merge is interesting. That's still the case, but I also though Greg Norman was not a big deal with the move. Either way, I no longer have any issues with LIV. I never really did anyway, but I just was okay with the PGA only

I don't know how much, if any, Florida State (and Georgia) are getting for the Orange Bowl. What I'll say is that if the money or payout is the same regardless of their participation, why would anyone play in a Bowl game that wasn't for the title. I don't have the dislike or hate several have toward Michigan (that's reserved for Penn State). I'm more Ohio State than Michigan, but I'm okay with the latter since they're very good. I'm still rooting for Alabama, one of the several reasons why I wasn't saddened over the FSU snub. At this point, I want a good game & postseason. That was missing in a big way, the biggest way last year, and even more to an extent in 2021

The reason why it happened is because Pittsburgh is more than a fraud, coupled with the fact their current culture is to emulate laziness when it comes to the worst of the worst. Rather than blow out a bad team the game is either close or they're trailing, and there's a way to lose. This is not new for the Steelers, it's at least a decade old. Rather than address the issue, their coach spends more time coming up with clever phrases and takes advantage of the (fake) love from the media as if it's everybody but him. While you wouldn't want to fire someone, it's painful & there's nothing one can do if winning is replaced by a leader & the face that would prefer to look so good that it'll work if one's staff features YES people that are so damn inferior that you can deflect blame on someone else to where you were the genius in the organization, which is totally false. However, it's not just the coach; the leadership isn't as epic & strong as the ones from earlier in the decade. Not that it's fair, but it's a fact. A chance to take advantage of a down year from the top teams, but they'd rather have their fans risk their lives hoping not to have a (fatal) heart attack while seeing whether Pittsburgh will win, lose, or get to the playoffs. It's pretty sad. Despite everything, it was an easy decision to go Pats +6. I didn't expect 21 points, but I didn't think they needed it at all. Whether it's Kenny or Mitch, there is NOTHING that shows that they're a threat period. If something is scripted in the league, it's the fact that they find a way to finish .500 or better, but not to .600 annually.

Rahm is headed to LIV. Every so often, fans on social media compare a sports move to the NWO, and TBH, there's nothing that's equal to that special day on July 07th, 1996. If Rory joined the NWO, that would be a candidate, but for me, that's more Stone Cold turning in 2001. Probably the under-the-radar news of the year. The CFB aftermath, NFL season heating up; when golf gets relevant again, nobody is going to remember this move or remember where they were when it happened

Give him time. Actually, if David Tepper had common sense, I'm surprised that he hasn't shut down Young for 2023. It's not like you have position to dictate the top pick anyway. Picks time! For tonight's NFL game, I will be going with New England and the points. I have them winning outright, which means the Steelers lose. To be honest, I have the Steelers losing each of their next 5 games. I haven't been perfect this year, so what I said may be included here. I figure I'll be off a bit, where I'm wrong about 60% of the games to give Mike his .500 PLUS statistic. Matchups & adjustments are a thing in the league; that's not changing, period. Smells like a 6-4 score tonight. Maybe not if 950 of the planet is pounding that under 30. However, five safeties is a better bet than 35-31 in favor of the Pats or the Steelers
-
The over/under is 30 and people are probably hammering the under. If 60 points are scored? That would be hilarious. It definitely will be funny as hell. What'll probably happen is if enough people (90 to 95 percent) go under, there'll be some random safety or late, meaningless defensive TD at triple zeros in the 4th to get to 9-22. That's realistic if the team scoring that TD did so earlier in the game defensively or on special teams. The over/under could've been 15, and I'd still go under

I guess it is fair enough that Austin would rather not put a target on his back. At the same time, it is fair enough to come to the conclusion that I think Austin isn't a very good player. If Dee actually has that control, I can't hate it. That's because it's up to everyone else to do something about it. If you don't so be it. In terms of winning the game or the final chance at it, those have consequences. Following up on what phlebas said about this season, I agree that there's no one there that's outstanding as in past seasons. That is a shame since they have the most benefit from past seasons to adapt to success on Survivor. OTOH, all the twists sort of offsets their moves. Though to an extent

Maybe Bruce being gone made this game fun again. Just a correction according to yours truly

Upon seeing the list Chicago Redshirt posted, it's time to have a elusive Attorney Survivor season

Sorta like Sugar back in Season 17. Unfortunately for her the cast did so one tribal council too many. On a related note, to this day I'm still livid at Erinn for being loyal enough at one of the later tribals in Season 18 as we would've had an entire TV year where someone went through a season without their name being written down. Still a little surprised though since I figured Fishbach would lose 6-1. While the motives and gameplay have been not really great, I don't think Katurah was much of a threat & more of someone that can get beat with ease. Not the first time it's happened; people will eventually get to her if & when possible
-
Watch this game turn out to be like 35-31 or whatever
-
You know, I knew David Carr got his ass kicked in 2002. That was expected to happen. However, I didn't realize that it was more severe than severe until 10 minutes ago. No, David. The Eagles are not benching Jalen Hurts for Marcus Mariota just because Hurts lost to San Francisco
-
To echo Valerie, but in reference to Dee, she went from "You suck" to "You're pretty cool." Actually, it went from "Who?" to the above. Austin is just a little about average, but that's about it I can take it or leave it in terms of Katurah's story. I guess I can sympathize, but several people have issues within one's family in the history of the Planet everywhere. OTOH, IDK. I'm fortunate to have never had any disconnect with my family, so I don't have an opinion here
-
If future players ever wanted to compete on Survivor & they're afraid of someone throwing an IC, they might be in luck if it's a return season with Drew on it
-
While it's easier to say sitting at home, I have to agree. Despite the stipulations, it's a big deal here
-
I'll be okay with Bruce going...oh wait!

As mentioned, I'll probably be pissed, but not surprised if he gets the Ken Stabler treatment. If there's anything scripted when it comes to the National Football League, that would be it. For example, say he died in early 2032 or even mid to late that calendar year. Then late 2032 to super early 2033, Jim Plunkett is a HOF finalist. I think I'd definitely be more livid if he got in but the media spun it as deserving with stats & accomplishments, but not because it's a sorrow, emotional thing that happens every-so-often. On one hand, there's always Jason Garrett, and on the other hand, I hardly would count the 3X champion as eligible. BTW, I think I actually enjoy him on television. He sounds coherent, talks as if he knows what he's talking about, and things sound more Xs and Os as opposed to someone else on another network. I'm not one to pimp someone from that team from the Lone Star State, but I guess I can separate that from what someone is elsewhere

I too would put CMC as the team MVP and maybe league MVP before Trent Williams. I just would not put Purdy over Trent, Kittle, Deebo, and CMC this year. I'm glad, BTW, that Brock finished a game at Lincoln Financial Field. Which isn't saying too much if you saw that game. For me, it changes nothing from last year, and I still don't think the outcome changes had he made it. CMC going West was great, and it adds to how much of a failure Tepper is. I hope all is well with the Niners & Baltimore, after all the injuries throughout the league. That is a big test for both teams. If SF is trailing & Brock does stuff to get a game winner, that would be enough for me to make him the MVP. At least think about it. Helps that Baltimore is capable of blowing it at the end of games

I could talk Taylor for 24 hours. It makes for pretty good conversation, but on the largest scale it would be off topic relative to the National Football League. Though I had to re-read the past posts before replying here to say that the distance between Swift and athletes in terms of one's fame is not just miles away, but a global trip. She wins there, and that's that. NBC totally did it right, I agree there. Still focus on them (TS and Blies) since they're famous, but stick to football. It did help that the game featured the two franchises that battled in the very first Super Bowl (iconic teams not even factoring that). It would be hypocritical of me to hate it (and I don't even hate it period), while enjoying the NBA games featuring New York and Los Angeles, where they highlight the dozen celebrities that are in attendance. JTMacc99 said it best in terms of the importance of a tackle. You know who are the best teams in terms of culture and football smarts when it comes to having one. You have to respect the offensive line; IDC how important the QB position is. To quote yours truly in a way, I can talk position importance for 24 hours. On a related note, if Purdy wins the league MVP, then it doesn't count. What I mean is that it sure as heck does count, but it's not a big deal. People will say it's a QB award now, and this year they'd be correct. Nothing against Purdy, but when Williams was out, Purdy wasn't. He did not look good. People think Prescott will win or can. While in a different year, Dallas nearly went undefeated without him. It's probably going to come down to the wire; I think if Jackson stays healthy, it's his to lose. Of course, Baltimore spends a night holiday Monday in Santa Clara. He'll get his second if that magic against the NFC takes place
-
To be honest, and, in a way, accurate. Biles has a skill that one doesn't even need to attempt in order to conclude how difficult it is. TS is amazing, like her or not, but anyone can sing. At least most people on the planet cannot do gymnastics. Bringing back to football, it is fair enough to conclude that Kelce might be going the route he is due to the fact that the end is near. I don't know if I can totally see him playing after the next season. At a high level. Hopefully Kansas City will get better offensively as a bridge to a nice final phase for Patrick. The first one was awful. It doesn't matter whether Mahomes was gifted one in bounds. Maybe if they got that right, they call the first one. That being said, as I've said in the past: DO MORE. Green Bay played a very good game. Enough to win it. KC did not do enough. If they had, then maybe late-game heroics would not be necessary. I'm pretty sure Cincinnati and Philadelphia didn't lose any sleep. Though the latter probably did for another reason, while the former might not rest well after tonight
-
If you ask 89 people, they'll tell you with a straight face that Planet Earth did not exist before 1989. And if it did, nothing that took place counted in World History, period. I can't say I'm thrilled that Kansas City did not win. I suppose it makes sense given the fact that, like Philadelphia, they were facing a team that had extra time to prepare. No, I'm not sad because Green Bay won; I still figured that the Chiefs would escape. I've picked those teams in the past that have had extra time to prepare, and in the past, I've been burned for doing so, sometimes by halftime of a game. This is just a weird year. At least it'll give me a reason to forgo predicting games in 2024, but I don't think I've been this off in a while. It's either a stupid pick or the opposite but then there's an upset. Looks like the Packers are going to be alright. So what would be vexatious is to show optimism for Jordan Love and Green Bay, only for them to look like Carolina while making their next opponent look like the San Francisco 49ers next week on Monday Night Football. Finally, if you're Pittsburgh, Cleveland, or Denver, especially a fan of those teams, you're probably not feeling well. A chance to gain ground with KC's fall plus an open date for Baltimore, and your team barfs up their soul. TBH, I don't know if I'll subscribe to dealing with another Week 18 where you have to play hard & risk one's health, while still needed help from someone else
-
Niners had injuries to key players. They're healthy now. Plus, they got the Ohio Teams that both had the week off prior to their games that they got humiliated and cheated out of in terms of a win (in the opposite order). The Vikings game was mind-blowing, but I did not look to see if 95% of the money went in the 49ers' favor. Fuck the NFL, by the way. Please do not pimp "competitive advantage" when your NFC West Champion are playing 3 teams in 2 weeks that had an open date before the matchup

Man, this weekend in sports totally sucked. While that's an over reaction, it is not. Brittany and Taylor recently arrived at Lambeau
-
The Chargers won 6-0 over the Patriots?! What the hell?!! I guess the Patriots and Steelers were looking ahead. Neither team needs to score for the outright dub on Thursday. They both suck that they'll find a way toward an actual negative score
