  1. If that's all that Eddie Murphy does, after waiting for his return for like 3 decades, I'll take it. I don't think there was any disrespect there. Sounds like it wasn't going to be a 10-minute segment at all. Plus it looks like the people in the studio audience got to see more of what Eddie had to say. Can't blame the show, especially if a joke might get NBC fined or something. We'll see if Murphy even wanted to do as much as a lot of other people
  2. They also left out Christopher Guest. I can't defend Cecily, but Mr. Guest really did it only 11 times.
  3. (Super) Colon Blow. Yes, a great SNL commercial (to shed a tear over)
  4. Loving how the best 90s & best 2000s segment came from the same season. SNL 25 was pretty damn awesome, IMO
  5. I might have to rewind in case I missed Dennis and Tracy (or anyone), but Tracy has a reason to miss, while Dennis just has an excuse
  6. Nice to see Eddie, but yeah, he pretty much won't be overtaking the show tonight (unless he actually does). He'd have a chance if his 80s version (in and out of SNL) surfaced in full force. Murphy with Norm, Will, and Darrell for a Celebrity Jeopardy segment (as Cosby, Burt, Alex & Sean) would be pure gold, IMO.
  7. Didn't really think of or forget about Tracy Morgan. All the best for the guy, who would have been an early lock had it not been for the near tragedy
  8. Eddie being there is too good (for me) that until February 16th, it'll likely be a "believe it when I see it" case. I will forever wonder how great it would have been if he had surfaced during that great run from 1986-1995 (save for Season 20). Anyway, I agree that Dennis & Victoria won't have a reason to miss (really no one will have an excuse unless it's an actual legit one). IMO, they'll probably show up but primarily to pay tribute to Jan. Just a guess; they were last there in 1999 to remember Phil, along with Jon, Nora, Mike, & Kevin (Dana couldn't make it due to his recovery from a legitimate "medical situation" IIRC). Though in 1999, it was less than a decade removed from their run, and they had a role in the 25th Anniversary. However, I think they'll be there, but I won't be too surprised if they didn't show up

Yeah I couldn't care less about Beast Mode either. Besides, as mentioned, several don't really care what the stars do (to an extent); just perform and perform for victory. That's all that matters. Though I also can't fault the NFL if they never change the rules. Fortunately it is working to his advantage and it looks like he wasn't "scared" of the media (not a fan of much of those folks).
  10. Yeah, I think I definitely overstated the fact that Keith in the F3 is a lock. Especially if Natalie is there, as mentioned. Other than that, while he hasn't done anything other than win, I hardly think anyone outside of Natalie would be deserving to win either. No one has done anything to force the jury to have to go with that person over Keith. Pretty hard to play the game when you're outnumbered and lack control. That being said, my fault for saying he'll win for sure if he gets there; but I like his chances for the most part. Loving Natalie. Never really had an issue with her, and her recent moves helped her in terms of respect. She is the first person in Survivor history to return from Exile Island and win the IC, I think. Terry's run was interrupted with Bruce's exit, IIRC. Baylor winning probably would happen more if Keith and/or Missy were on the jury. IMO, she ain't winning. Her plan to get Natalie out would be trumped by Natalie's plan to get Baylor out (unless Baylor wins Final Immunity with Keith gone at 5).
  11. Keith is a lock to win, that I agree. Not sure about Jaclyn (unless both Keith & Natalie are gone)
  12. In my opinion, the Committee got it right. As mentioned, the lack of a Big 12 Championship hurt TCU and Baylor. OSU shutting down Wisconsin with a 3rd QB is too much to ignore. Was actually worried about FSU getting left out, but I think the only way that could have happened is if Alabama, Oregon, and everyone else were undefeated. Sucks for TCU getting left out yet again, but hopefully someday they'll contend for the National Title
  13. Nope. Fred joined during Tracy Morgan's final season. Then I guess that opened the door for Kenan, who I never thought would be on the show for over a decade. Amazing how it's typical for several to spend 10 years, more or less, on SNL. With people like Sandler, Spade, Rob, etc, 4-5 years used to be enough. And as mentioned, scary stuff that those guys are getting up there in age!
