Based off of a discussion early on, it would be totally pathetic if the NFL changed the playoff venue rules if Tampa beat Dallas. BUT only if they changed it after the Cowboys lose to the Bucs. That's based on what just happened, Carolina losing at home and most important... Tampa beat Dallas IN Arlington as the road team. Nearly shut them out

Looks like you got the wish

Kansas City is the 5th team into the playoffs, the 3rd division winner, & the first AFC team to win their division. 7 straight for KC!
-
Steelers game is over. They won. So they avoid elimination while Tomlin's NO-losing season thing continues Walkoff For Kansas City!!!!!
-
Several games headed into OT. Barring expected scoring FTW, this week might help to do away with games ending in a tie. Edited because the Jets suck
-
That's what they call fuckin' Division Football Baby! Plus a sprinkle of parity!!

I'm actually okay if Jacksonville survives. I went against Dallas 2 weeks ago or whenever against Indy (ATS, still picked them to win). Dallas blew out Indy, but then with a 17.5 spread, they barely escaped vs Houston. Texas would've covered 7.5. So this time, I went back to thinking the Cowboys are giving way too many. Jacksonville is coming along. However, Dallas might be looking to Philadelphia more than Philly is looking at "America's Team"

If I remember correctly they actually took the lead in regulation time. They did. In fact, Houston won the coin toss for OT, and this was 2 decades prior to the overtime change where you needed a TD to win on the first possession. However, Moon turned it over and that was it

Well, mojoween, I can't say I'm surprised. All I can say is that it's official: The NFL is King. Worldwide!

Eleventh Hour Week 15 Predictions! Dallas/Jacksonville Cowboys favored by 3.5 47.5 O/U Jaguars & over (Cowboys escape outright) Cincinnati/Tampa Bay Bengals favored by 3.5 46.5 O/U Bengals & under Giants/Commanders Washington favored by 4.5 40.5 O/U New York and under (Washington survives outright) Rams/Packers Green Bay favored by 7 39.5 O/U Packers and over I think Dallas and Washington will win their games but their foes in the Jaguars and Giants will cover Other picks include: New York, Kansas City, Carolina, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Denver. Straight up, no odds here ***Another note, or more: 4 of 14 spots clinched, though not necessarily the slotting. Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Arizona, New Orleans, and the Rams can all be eliminated from playoff contention this weekend***

Did anyone see any breaking news on Irsay firing Jeff Saturday? I didn't see anything on television, but it was decent speculation I came up with "stole" with Argentina's current World Cup performance On a related note, I did NOT see anything breaking on the Colts trading Matt Ryan to Argentina either

Buffalo is going for the FG. I don't know if that's the best play (for a several reasons) Well the Bills survive big time. 4th team into the postseason!
-
It's sad that Cecily is leaving but definitely not surprising at all. However, I wasn't expecting it tonight since she wasn't around to start the season. I assumed that she'd make her exit this spring or shortly after the holidays (similar to Seth and well before that, folks like Murphy, Shearer, Carvey, Myers, and Shannon). Can't blame Lorne or whomever if he wanted her to stick around, but it would've been fitting if she did exit with Kate and Aidy. I would've been okay with it. Nevertheless, Strong had a great run & was doing well outside of SNL so I imagine there's a lot of great things for her going forward

Well, if someone asks why I'll be going 0 for 63 in March, I'd say, "Just check out my predictions from December 17, 2022."

Shoulda opted for the CBS Sports Classic as well as some decent College Football action! But you're totally correct, Xeliou. There is a relation to that fact that will have me skipping tomorrow's game at Bank of America Plus, there was so much today in the world of sports that I might not recover until Monday, and the Bills/Dolphins hasn't even begun yet!

Fair enough. However, there was nothing stopping Reich from being fired at the end of the season. I was actually surprised (not shocked) that he wasn't following their fall in Jacksonville. Also, I have no idea why Chris Ballard is still employed. That's more baffling than anything Irsay's done
-
Even without one small thing, I still hate the Browns. My Baltimore hate is competitive. Non-football related, I think I definitely do not have an issue with them, but that's just me
-
Not surprised at all. Florida is so unpredictable, as are the bowl games. So many opt outs, and the coaches aren't the same. I literally flipped a coin prior to the bowl games. Not much to work off of in terms of picking bowl games due to the changes. Though I should've passed on picking the Gators since, looking back, they somehow took out Utah in this calendar year
-
With apologies to DrSpaceman73, I still have a giant grin since it's karma for Irsay for booting Reich with more ease than I booted a kickball during recess. Maybe Frank wasn't the guy, but the man still had Indianapolis in the postseason after it fell apart with Pagano and Luck and some dude that replaced a HOF legend in Polian. Jim, IMO, let his emotions get in the way following yet another loss in traditional fashion from New England. Then you take one of ESPN's greatest instead of going with people on the staff. TBF, Jim Irsay is not the worst owner, likely isn't even close. However, the game of football is 60 minutes. Who knows what's next for the Colts, but man, that was not good. More surprising than Super Bowl 51!

I think that was the record holder up until now. (I've) Seen all three as well. However, if you told me 2012 John Fox and 2014 Pete Carroll had people from 1992, 2016 and this year holding their beer AND wine, I'd believe it

When you have a 517-year old as a part of the plan, I can't say I like that!
-
For what it's worth, Indy totally cheated in the penultimate play Lost in everything, and before I forget: Minnesota is the 3rd team into the playoffs and the 2nd of 8 division winners!
-
Whoops! Wrong thread. I blame (the glory of) great sports on television featuring College hoops, college football and NFL football. Plus some golf!
-
Not that it would matter for Matt Ryan

I guess I might have to bet $100 the next time someone is down by 5 scores
