If Kansas City loses, at least it will not be due to being unable to hold a decent lead against a team that is the sole reason for the Browns longest winning streak since the Ravens became an NFL thing

Fixed it for you! All joking aside, Tua has done great. While exceeding expectations, everyone still has a ways to go. This wasn't a surprise. When facing a tough team and/or a team inside the cold elements, this was expected. The game is not over yet. I sorta hope Jimmy G's week isn't either. He was never going to outduel Brady, but I was waiting for that matchup the whole year. One of several reasons I hate the schedule makers. Well, if Jimmy G were to have out performed Tom, that's due to the Niners defense being more dangerous than this season's Bucs squad

It's half a loss and half a win. Fortunately the league goes by percentage. So if you're 7-4 & tie, it's 7.5 - 4.5. divide 7.5 by 12 [total win number / (total win number + total loss number)]. That's what they'll go by (for everything)

Not so fast. That was not a great use of their TO for New York. They would've been better off letting them score, which in turn would've prevented NY from having so much time for a second chance. They a horrible play by the Vikings with NY with all of their TOs. Only 13 seconds (go figures) used

Well, we are finally getting playoff movement. That means teams officially eliminated from postseason & are officially in. Houston will be the first team booted, while Philadelphia will be the first of 14 teams in. Even if Minnesota survives, they can't clinch anything right now thanks to a great performance by Detroit
  9. Alabama having a worse record is not a reason, period. Otherwise, they would've put in Cincinnati and Central Florida in the past, and more important, Florida State would've been the top team and faced Ohio State in 2014-2015 instead of travelling to Pasadena to get crushed by Oregon. That [win/loss record] is a factor, but that alone does not exclude them from the conversation. And chances are, it will be proven as such on New Year's Eve (just like in 2016). OTOH, Ohio State might prove that they belong (a la 2014, 2020). Alabama is only in this spot now because Tennessee, LSU, Oregon, and USC all vomited when they could least afford to. The Tide are a great team, but they weren't that good this year. Yes they lost on the road by 4 total points, and OSU gave up at home, but Bama wasn't so dominant. I think they still would lose to Georgia this year. They probably would have lost the SEC Title Game, but THREE LOSS LSU got the nod since the rules exclude LSU's loss to Florida State. Ohio State wasn't a clear choice overall, but between them and Bama is was decisive enough. More than just the record, it's the body of work Time for New Year's SIX Dates Orange Bowl: Clemson vs Tennessee [12/30] Sugar Bowl: Kansas State vs Alabama [12/31] Cotton Bowl: Tulane vs USC [01/02] Rose Bowl: Penn State vs Utah [01/02] Peach Bowl: Ohio State vs Georgia [12/31] * Fiesta Bowl: TCU vs Michigan [12/31] * Here is the sixth CFB Playoff rankings. The final one includes Washington in 12th place. Not a snub for a NY6 bowl, but as are the rules, the highest ranked GOF (Group of Five) team gets that "glorified" game. Tulane finished in 16th place. While the times are a non-issue for the New Year's Eve games, I think the Georgia/OSU should've been the first game. Not sure I'd want to lose (or win) a game to end/start a calendar year. * Playoff Semi-Final

Lamar was already banged up a bit during the week. He had exit early with a quad injury. Limited in practice. With a knee injury, I hardly think it's anything positive for Jackson. That is huge for the rest of the AFC North. Probably bigger for Pittsburgh since they have yet to face Baltimore. However, Cleveland and Cincinnati still have games against the Ravens, and both home games. While Xeliou66 would love to see Atlanta survive, the Steelers who were basically done, need to escape here to make it into another week toward success. I doubt they can, but one week at a time now. Especially since a Top 5 pick isn't even a thing anymore Finally, they're not beating Buffalo or Kansas City or whoever wins the NFC but it would not be a great loss if they blow it. Though a great win for the Falcons, but possibly meaningless until you beat Tom Brady
  11. Okay, they've finally got around to everything else. Whatever. It's no surprise, but the stalling to release the teams is unnecessary. While it isn't imperative, ESPN could "borrow" from CBS when it comes to Selection Sunday, and just release the teams immediately. Probably starting with the semi games, the other NY6 bowls, and the rest of the rankings. Afterwards, the interviews & reactions can be done. Time permitting, announce the other bowl games. I think you need two hours instead of the one hour for the hoops version, but four hours might be a ton too much for a TV games release show

BTW: Today's missed point is brought to you by the letters J, O, K, and E. RE: Ian Eagle calling the Eagles game. I (still) stand corrected The head-to-head thing should've been called and likely the defensive player should've been out of the game. Barring that, a hit to Cousins is fair game as Kirk is a runner. It's not easy if he started sliding before the motion to hit a QB occurred

EW. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland doesn't do much this year especially if they somehow fall today and then next week. Still a game vs Baltimore, if it's over they might punt. They should be a bigger deal next year. Though maybe not if they decide to run it back but with someone other than Stefanski

Philadelphia/Tennessee is a FOX game (which is being called by their top team). Otherwise I'd totally agree (especially with the CBS top team calling KC/Cincy). Under the pre-2014 structure, the Titans/Eagles game would've been on CBS, but then they might've had Nantz on the call with KC/Cincy in Primetime over Dallas/Indy. Except not since it's the Cowboys
  16. To which I would say, "Trust the committee. Bama would've been blown out by more than TCU and/or Ohio State."
  17. Actual we got it right galaxygirl! Not sure it's "right" but it's the most definite compared to everything and anything else
  18. That's what I'm going with. Followed by Alabama, Tennessee, Utah, Kansas State and Penn State. We'll know real soon

Week 13 Picks: Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Minnesota, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco, Cincinnati, Vegas, Dallas, Tampa Odds: Tennessee/Philly Eagles 4.5 44.5 O/U Eagles and Over Kansas City/Cincy Chiefs 2.5 52.5 O/U Cincinnati and over Indy/Dallas Cowboys 10.5 43.5 O/U Indy and over New Orleans/Tampa Tampa 3.5 40.5 O/U Saints and over Tennessee could keep it close, but I don't know if it'll be that close. It only takes one mistake for Philadelphia to pull away. Regardless of what happens in the GOTW, I'm picking Cleveland FTW on Week 14. On a related note, I not going to pick Kansas City to beat the Bengals until they actually do it. The Cowboys blowing out Indianapolis should be what happens. The Colts are coming off of a short week. Really nothing they can do on SNF. However, there often seems to be a meaningless score which makes a difference. Eventually I'll get a Saints/Bucs correct. Though it might take TB12 from leaving the team in order to do so
  20. Man, what if the committee decided against both Bama and TCU. Which they might have done but Clemson decided to take a personal day against South Carolina
  21. He's still an entitled asshole. I'd still choose him 11 times out of 10 within a selection of which current/former HC I'd bring to a big dinner before/after other festivities at the mansion before fuckin' losers like Art Briles and/or Hugh Freeze

I don't. To explain: I actually do, but I don't expect it since Houston is a dumpster fire that didn't need to be created. Their team is in Tennessee now and are fine there. Guess I could say the same thing about Cleveland, but the hope for Cleveland and DW getting crushed is getting pushed back one week. TBH, I might not "hope" for it then since it's a game against Joe Burrow and the Bengals
  23. To be fair, how many glorified National Championships does Ryan Day have. Yeah, that was sorta unnecessary from Saban, and surprising that it happened on FOX. They haven't had the super postseason in over a decade; not sure why they'd care. Maybe that's the plan. Coach Nick is a legend, to where there shouldn't even be a need to show up on television to "sway" the committee. It'll happen or not with or without the begging. Didn't mind the comments post Iron Bowl, but now what not needed
  24. 100% Xeliou. Dabo's QB decision was a surprise. Post Watson, he had a capable guy in 2017 in a decent year, and then continued success in 2018. Without losing, Sweeney makes a QB change with Lawrence, and the rest is/or was history. Unless it doesn't happen, I believe Clemson will be fine and a contender. Still the second accomplished team in the CFB Playoff Era
  25. Man, these officials are horrible. A lot of stoppages and several reviews, including right now Edited. To be fair, the refs can spell
