  1. At last! The long-dreamed-of crossover episode of Intervention and My 600-lb Life! Let's see what happens when you have both Dr. Now and Jeff VanVonderen on your ass at the same time!
  2. Go Dr. Now! You don't negotiate with terrorists.
  3. That's a good insight. I had a relative like that; she was ignored as a child and decided she was going to make everyone take care of her until she died.
  4. Oh boy. Just for a little preview of what we're in for, here's a Daily Mail article from 2015 about Steven Assanti. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3267280/The-REAL-800lb-man-Morbidly-obese-man-claimed-victim-thrown-hospital-ordering-pizza-caught-camera-harassing-nurse-mocking-taxpayers-pay-treatment.html

  11. Yeah, and I'm not sure how low-carb is supposed to help her cellulitis...
  12. No no, this time it was "natural" and therefore lower carb. As opposed to unnatural rice.
  13. But aside from the rice, that plate wasn't bad.
  14. It can be. It's also a problem after cancer surgery and radiation when they kill off the lymph nodes. When it first started, if she lived in an ideal universe, she would have done weight loss, compression, pneumatic pumps, water exercise, etc. That might have contained it somewhat.
  15. There aren't really good treatments for lymphedema. Sometimes you can manage it, but sometimes you can't.
  16. That's everyone's first reaction, and it seems reasonable, but if you google "diuretics for lymphedema" you'll see it's not advised.
