  1. I am starting to believe the participants who say that the voiceovers are scripted. They're all identical. "I had no idea how hard this would be". I want one of them to say, "Well, that wasn't that bad!"
  2. If you were just looking at her upper body, you might ballpark her at 300 pounds.
  3. Typically with lymphedema they use various kinds of compression to move the lymphatic fluid. Did they do that at the nursing home? She seemed to imply that they didn't.
  4. Wait, your abusive mom is raising your kids?
  5. It's the lymphedema. A lot of it is actually fluid.
  6. I need to make a list of the people on this show who haven't been molested.
  7. Starting the episode. As the kids say, "WTF I can't even."
  8. I hope to hell she got on a Greyhound to anywhere.
  9. Cellulitis typically isn't contagious.
  10. Ooo! Dr. Now is kicking ass and taking names.
  11. Love Dr. Now being totally blasé about this big screaming baby being dragged in.
  12. An hour in and we haven't even gotten him to Houston.
  13. Oh, no, Dad! Don't mortgage the house! Oh, damn.
  14. Presumably the other kids are older. So I guess they ran for the hills.
  15. And Lisa seemed so pleased handing him the pie. "How's that look?" Well, it looks like death on a plate, honey.
  16. Was that pie, or cheesecake? Christ on a cracker, that's 1200 calories right there.
  17. In fairness, the insurance company is being evil denying the transport.
  18. "Lisa, my girlfriend". So they're not married.
  19. Ha! True enough. But they skipped the whole part with Now hospitalizing her and how she lost a big bunch in the hospital.
  20. I know we're not supposed to talk about the Facebook drama here on this site, but you might want to duck over there and check in. Tanisha and several of her friends are saying that this episode was almost entirely scripted fiction. It didn't really go down the way the show portrayed it.
  21. Have you kept it off? I'm always curious about real-life weight loss strategies.
  22. Those are good points, fonfereksglen. Still, that one producer last night seemed out of her depth.
  23. I know I'm always comparing this show to Intervention, but here's another difference. Most of the subjects on Intervention love the producers. The producers seem to really take an interest and care about them. I know I've seen several former addicts mention it. The producer on this episode seemed pretty unable to deal with Tanisha, and certainly didn't give any evidence that she cared about her. I wonder if they might have a better show if the producers were a little more gentle and attentive.
