  1. They did this in the first 2 seasons. One of the experts (Pepper maybe) gave them things like furniture to assemble.
  2. Sean was, no one knew about BR until the reunion show.
  3. People give her a pass because she's friendly, smiles and, being so short, she's like watching a hobbit interact with humans. Of the experts, we have: The atheist religious expert. The creepiest, most disturbing, most issue-ridden shrink in the biz. The "sex therapist" whose most recent book tells wives to withhold sex to manipulate husbands into doing what you want...I'm not joking. Also, she advocates teaching children (not pre-teens or adolescents), children to "to embrace their sexuality". Don't get me started on the vocal fry. And Pepper, she may be a screw up, but she's slightly more genuine than the rest. Maybe I give her too much credit, but compared to the rest, she's not intolerable to listen to. If the roles were reverse, people would be ready to crucify David. The closest we have to that situation (and it's not even close to the way Ashley treats David) are Basement Ryan and Sean - both are vilified.
  4. He probably does: Tres: God, I screwed up. Please get me out of this.
  5. What hell hole did he come from to be with her for a green card? Actual hell?
  6. He's mostly right. There's a world of difference between women men date and those we would consider marrying. It's a completely different skill set. Most guys would gladly sacrifice a point on looks if she would make a good wife and mother.
  7. Dear God! Did she win the lottery or something? Why is he (or anyone) with that?
  8. It looks like he's a fun dude with a nice network of friends, he was probably single for a week at the most. Still wearing the ring though, I guess it's in the contract. EDIT - or is he? Maybe that's his middle finger. Which would be funny, like a giant FU to the whole show. Also, love the sorority girl pose on the brunette up front.
  9. I'm starting to think that any simpleton can get a master's of social work degree.
  10. Someone want to tell me how Ashley's solution is a solution?
  11. David, Sam and Neil have all said that, while the show is edited of course, what you see on screen accurately represents how the relationship was progressing. The only ones claiming that editing wildly misrepresented anyone is Ashley's parents. They've been saying anything to defend their daughter.
  12. Ha. https://www.linkedin.com/in/cortneyhendrix?trk=pub-pbmap
  13. After reading this BS, my opinion of Cortney dropped a tick.
  14. And today was the day she was going to go from not holding his hand to having crazy sex.
  15. Very random thoughts: Sam's mom is enabling. If I was acting like her, my parents would say, "Look kid, maybe the marriage would be going better if you weren't such an asshole all the time." Neil irritates me as much as David by not standing up for himself. Where was the roommate this week? Ashley's still thinking only about herself. "...in that chair was the most uncomfortable moment that I've had." Me, me, me, my feelings, comfortable for me - who would want a wife like that? So, respect and kindness were her only expectations, David is doing that - then she says, "It's not what she expected." Does she know he definition of expectations? She expected to be treated with "respect and kindness" - yet apparently finds those qualities repulsive. She's in the house (a house that she loves so no surprise there), meets with the experts and wears her ring - and that equals "doing everything she can." She says that, "There are attractive qualities about David's personality..." I'm guessing the fact that's he's offering to pay for everything being the biggest. She was waiting for the clock to wind down since she first saw him. David: I want to make you happy. I want to be the best husband in the world. Dr. Atheist: Ashley, how does that make you feel. Ashley: (computing possible responses) Okay. David's face says it all - he's not sad, not mad, he's finally done. Good for him. Tres and Vanessa - they seem boring but that's fine. Hope they stay together.
  16. Good detective work. Makes me wonder what happened to the other couple.
  17. Any excuse to bail out, play a victim and salvage her image.
  18. I got blocked for asking Logan how a TV personality could have horrible vocal fry. I even suggested a speech therapist who I called a "real doctor". I thought it was funny.
  19. Merge MAFS with Naked and Afraid. He could have just realized that nothing was going to happen and moved on. It's been a month, the message had to get through his thick head eventually. I can't wait to see if Ashley has the nerve to act offended.
  20. My solution has been consistent and clear. If nothing physical is likely to happen, move on. David can find someone else by the end of the weekend.
  21. Suggesting he go willingly to the friendzone is exactly the same as saying he needs to be a eunuch. She would be fine with having him around if it wasn't for his pesky sex drive. If that didn't exist, the sham of a marriage would be going swell...assuming David pays her bills of course. That part she was fine with. Certainly doesn't sound like valid reasons to stay. She doesn't have to return his affections, she doesn't have to be civil, but those are perfectly valid reasons for dumping her and finding a real woman.
  22. David was a perfect gentleman for the wedding, honeymoon and several weeks of the marriage - through it all, Ashley has been a humorless bitch. The second he shows some frustration, she says SEE! I knew he wasn't REALLY a gentleman. David is basically expected to be an utterly devoted eunuch who exists to meet Ashley's needs while having no needs of his own. If he doesn't keep that routine up forever, then he's just not sincere. The REAL David is the monster who wants to hold hands with his wife, complains that she won't answer basic questions and get's a little sad when his dream of starting a family gets crushed. What's next? Will he show how much of a monster he truly is by moving on? How DARE he. It does seem like some people bring too much personal baggage to the discussion. All we can really go on is what we see on screen and clues from social media. Neither support the idea that David is anything but a guy who's trying a little too hard to be liked by his wife. At this point, he just needs to ghost the robot and find a woman.
  23. That just shows that David has enough game to pick up girls at a bar. He's not some sad "nice guy" who begs for attention because he can't get laid, his friends were shocked that this one woman hasn't responded. They were wondering why he's wasting his time on a robot if real women are readily available and responsive. David doesn't need to change his approach, he needs to realize that Ashley isn't worth the effort and find a woman who is. I'd bet David could find a new and better woman on any given weekend.
  24. A. It's laughable that she thinks she's a public figure. B. People think she's acting like a deranged bitch and treating Neil horribly - yet SHE'S "abused" when we call her on it? Is that what passes for abuse these days?
