  1. Why is Alison a threat again? I would have loved to have heard her excuse for what chased her up there. And whether the others decided to get her down.
  2. I suppose Angelina thinks she's the only one who can put together a 63 piece puzzle, judging by the look on her face.
  3. What a performance. Please let someone else find the clue and Angelina get foiled from finding the idol.
  4. Of course Angelina would lose the clue to the HII. I will say I'm enjoying how miserable this is making her.
  5. God I hate Mike. I want to mute the TV when he's talking.
  6. So glad we get to chat live! Angelina doesn't look happy sitting there. Mike looks kind of nervous. Hoping we hear at the end "the winner of Survivor David vs Goliath is..." 1) Davie, 2) Nick, 3) Kara.
  7. Wasn't TMZ the original source that broke the Alec story? That's why I'm wondering if they are sitting on this until the finale and then we'll get something right after. Some people are speculating on other sites that this might hurt Survivor filming in Fiji in the future-especially if people associated with the show knew about it, but did nothing. Because I despise Mike and would love nothing more than his win to be protested because he cheated, I'm still prepared to be let down. I'm at a loss how exactly this was cheating, and I expect the network to just do the bare minimum to make it seem like they are sorry. So we probably won't even get the whole story, and they will likely down play any cheating. The whole cheating thing could just be something in the contract about not smuggling in contraband. Then Russell would have been right. Who cares if he's just a troll who probably doesn't know if anything really did happen or not-he called Angelina a liar. And who cares if she really knew if this was true or not. If this is proven to be true, it'll make him right and her wrong. At least that's a win! A small one, but I'll take it if I have to take a Mike victory this season. The last couple of seasons the reunion show started super late. I don't think they'd be able to modify it at this point, but if they plan on addressing this controversy, they can always bring people out while the show is airing like they've done in the past. Funny thing about Christian, I was watching the IG story for the Survivor account, and it had the different cast members on the bus doing some quick random comments. Then we get to Christian, who in the first shot starts in on the story of Survivor, and in the second says 'is there a time limit on this? Oh shit.' I love this man!
  8. I'm also going to throw Elizabeth into the mix of strong players. She went to bat for her friend in the second vote and flipped the script. While it may have ended up costing her down the road, I appreciate that she didn't just go with the numbers to be safe, but recognized where she stood with another alliance and schemed to keep someone around that was on her side. In addition, I like that she didn't go down without a fight. It seemed like she was trying to stir something up at camp but Carl refused to budge, so she at least brought it up at TC. I would have loved to have seen her get to play longer. Out of all the women this season she is at the top of my list of players I'd want to see back.
  9. And the plot thickens. My guess is, if this is all true, that CBS knows it will get out more than it already has and wants to control the narrative. I feel like if it wasn't addressed tonight (and probably won't be due to time constraints) then it likely will be tomorrow before TMZ and the other gossip rags can run with it. It will be interesting what Angelina, Alison, and Kara have to say since they came out and said this wasn't true (whether they believed it or not I don't know). Sadly this may end up tainting a good season. I just feel like this might all be about something irrelevant.
  10. I feel like I don't even want to watch now (but I will). Editing has been strange this season and while Nick hasn't screamed winner (like someone would in a previous season), Mike has had a far worse edit. I suppose they could give him redemption tonight. Like I said, as soon as Christian brought it up in one of his interviews about the game Mike was playing I got nervous that he might actually have a chance. So yeah, it looks like it could be a case of Goliath strong on the jury plus maybe a few bitter Davids aimed at Nick (thinking Gabby and Christian here). Wonder if any of them are nervous that this season has been praised as one of the best yet many consider Mike to be one of the worst case scenarios in terms of winners.
  11. I'd say Natalia had the least graceful exit of anyone this season. When Natalie the Jacket hog had a better exit than you, that's saying something. I do recall Probst saying earlier in the season (maybe right after Natalia's boot) that he would love to see her back and basically thought she got a bum deal and had so much more game in her. Which translates to she's a hot young female that might have rivaled Angelina for being a character this season. Now that I think about it, I guess Probst hasn't changed.
  12. Me too. It's hard for me to even fathom how he won, unless it is a bitter jury and he's just great at spinning shit. More like he got lucky is what it is. I feel like Mike will take the Adam Klein approach and just constantly interrupt Nick and Angelina and try to discredit their game while making it seem like he did more than sit on the beach.
  13. I'm surprised TMZ isn't all over this, unless they are sitting on it until after the finale because it will be more explosive if this is true and does involve the winner. I also believe it is true, and that they are covering it up for a few reasons, but mainly for the reputation of both the show and the offender.
  14. IF Vegas isn’t full of crap (I’d say it’s a 50/50 chance), then I kind of don’t blame them for sticking with the outcome. It’s a little late to just be finding out about this, so hopefully it didn’t dramatically affect the outcome. Just seems like a coincidence they’d produce this tweet after 3 castaways posted tweets dismissing this (granted they could be doing damage control on the part of the show or their friend Mike, considering who tweeted about it first). Someone on Reddit had another theory about what THC stood for: The Hot Cop, aka Dan. Maybe he found out and spoke up. He was voted out early enough and I don’t think spent a ton of time with Mike between the swap and his early merge boot. So it might be logical he just found out and felt a moral obligation to do it (assuming this is Mike but I guess whoever it is). But damn, does this mean Mike wins? Maybe this is why Jeff didn’t seem enthusiastic about this season at first. I know Mike’s his friend but he probably expected much more from him. Mike’s been playing like a wet noodle and likely got lucky that Alison tattled to him.
  15. Jeff was an Angelina fan pre-show, so I'm not surprised that he's heaping praise on her now. I think she's terrible at this game and does play more with her emotions than logic, and makes a bigger deal out of things than need be. She gives me the impression of someone whose led a pampered life. I find Angelina more of a character than a good game player. She's memorable, though probably not for the reasons she wants to be. I can't see her taking control in a season of veterans. I think there have been strong, memorable women who have been playing this game since season 1. But it wasn't too many seasons ago where Probst pretty much ignored all the women and fawned over the men, despite them being the same dime a dozen casting types that we've had for years.
  16. Either this whole thing isn't true and isn't just going to be damage control by CBS, or someone did smuggle something in but they aren't doing anything about it. Now I am so nervous for a Mike win lol With the edit he's gotten I just don't see it. So hopefully this whole thing is fake. Unless that THC has something to do with him finishing in 2nd place.
  17. I was wondering whether the castaways would say anything about it or not, and I'm going to assume CBS gave them the go ahead to dispute it. And Angelina being more annoying, aggravating, and egotistical than normal? Oy vey. I will love it if she says that and we get a quiet Angelina edit, or a bumbling one. Hopefully this means that Mike doesn't win and that Nick is victorious!
  18. I could just see Angelina in some country chasing down locals and trying to negotiate for a jacket. Or having the cops called on her by a cab driver who says she tried to stiff them and then she tells the cops it was merely her way of trying to negotiate out of a high fare. Hey, Angelina might be fun on here after all. I would totally do Christian and John or Nick, or Nick and Davie. Hell, I'd love to see Alec.
  19. I wonder if someone thinks it'll be them and how awkward it'll be when another castaway proposes to their significant other. Mike has a boyfriend, maybe it'll be him. I would be very, very, very surprised if it's Christian and his girlfriend. I hate the thought of a Mike win but I also hope that whatever this rumor of someone being DQ from their win isn't true, regardless of who it is. I do love that online everyone believes it is Angelina who ratted him out (even though they are close, so I kind of doubt it if it is Mike), and that she did so in hoping for a live re-vote so she can win. This really is turning into Tracy Flick and Election.
  20. I was thinking that, too, but Alec could just be in LA to hang out with everyone post-reunion. It did get me thinking, though, if Alec was the one who maybe ratted out Mike or whoever is in trouble. If it is stated explicitly on the contract about smuggling in drugs could lead to an automatic disqualification or some kind of punishment, Alec may still be feeling bitter over his reunion show banishment-and he may say if they are banning him for violating the NDA, they need to take action against whoever else violated parts of the contract. Now, I don't know if Alec would legitimately have a lawsuit or anything, but it would definitely put a dark cloud over one of the best seasons in a long time. The funny part is, if something happens to Mike (or whoever it is) over marijuana, I feel that since the attitude of the drug has shifted tremendously in a positive direction in this country, most fans would probably roll their eyes and protest if he got DQ over this. How I understood the tweet was that production assistants knew (how many, I don't know), but that the higher ups did not. And it sounded like this wasn't discovered until the very end but they didn't say anything; so I don't know if they knew all season or not. I wonder if Mike put it in his food out there and maybe escaped detection for so long that way. When Christian said the person everyone should be paying attention to is Mike and what a great game he was playing, that did make me slightly nervous that he was alluding to a Mike victory and trying to help soften the blow. The cast is home and likely reading articles and opinions of fans, so they may realize what a great season this is, and how Mike is perceived as a goat by many and not a winner a good percentage of fans online would be happy with. I still can't wrap my head around how he wins, unless he does spin in the finale. But seriously, if he wins, what a bummer. As for this proposal-well guess it won't be much of a surprise now if that's what the person was asking for.
  21. Yeah, if this is all true, it's going to tank this season. I mean, all the crap previous Survivors got away with during other seasons, and now suddenly they care? It definitely sounds like whoever won may be in trouble. Or is it that they didn't get the winner they wanted (sorry, I don't put anything past this show)...and I really hope they don't do a live re-vote.
  22. Well that would certainly explain why he looked half asleep all season. This could also explain why whoever in production knew didn't tell ;) And Nick's a lawyer so...maybe we got our rat? Still, could all this drama really be for that? Would they really revoke his win for something that likely didn't even affect the game? I was trying to think what exactly someone could be using in the fire making final 4 that wouldn't be noticeable-they already get flint, and surely someone would notice a person lighting a match. So I was stumped, unless it was some kind of steroid they'd been sitting on to help in the challenges. I think it's depressing to think Mike actually wins.
  23. I appreciate the spoilers but hate that the person is so vague with certain details. So is Mike the narc, the default winner, or the cheater? If this did have to do with the fire making tie breaker, and Kara loses as a result, I hope she gets a guaranteed return back and compensated. They did that for Lex and Tom in Africa when there was a mistake in the fallen comrades challenge.
  24. This person spoils for Big Brother and is usually pretty solid, so I'm thinking there's some truth to this. At the same time, they are also know to draw attention to themselves. So it sounds like possibly whoever won cheated, maybe in the fire making tie breaker (which, if true, I blame TPTB for putting that rule there in the first place). It seems like it would have to be serious enough for them to consider DQ someone, and why would they care if the person wasn't the winner? If it was Angelina, whose supposed to finish 3rd, would they care if she cheated if her being in the final 3 didn't amount to anything? They could easily just strip her of her money. I can't see them going to the trouble if it wasn't the winner, unless they just plan on stripping whoever of their money after-but that wouldn't mean a re-vote or second place winning by default. But seriously, if this means whoever wins is DQ I call absolute BS on the show and will seriously lose respect. Unless it was something immensely major, but this was filmed back last spring. How could they be just discovering this now unless someone tattled (and I feel that's the only way they would have found out). And I won't lie, Mike and Angelina are the first two I thought of that would pull this. T So someone could win this just because TPTB are too stupid to do their jobs? Mike, who is one of the worst players this game has ever had, or Angelina, one of the most annoying who thinks she's one of the best, could win getting 1 vote or no votes? And if they do a re-vote, does this mean Alec isn't banned anymore? ETA: checked that twitter account and they said someone did tattle, and that the producers on site knew, but that the higher ups didn't. Assuming this is all true, I hope whoever the rat is gets exposed, and I say that even if it's Nick or Davie who are the only two going into the finale that I'm rooting for. It just seems like sour grapes for someone to bring this up now. Unless TPTB wanted a different winner and will use this as an excuse. But is whoever squealed to them threatening to expose them? Isn't that what those stupid contracts are for, so they can't just tell all? I guess I don't get why this is a big deal.
  25. So here is an interview with one of the EPs of Survivor talking about what a success this season has been. He also talked about the endurance challenge where Alec was talked into quitting and some of the things that weren't shown during Christian's long winded conversation. Have to say I'm disappointed they didn't show us more. I'm guessing that last part may be where Alec finally decided he'd had enough: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/survivor-david-goliath-explained-christian-gabby-more-secrets-revealed-1167806?fbclid=IwAR21xghVYEg8e0Mgscq-wvQsLS7xA9E6dceVSbJ-LBy5P98bCNl9pqBt46A
