  3. I'll kill The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo. I often tend to like the concept of Charlie better than the reality. This is definitely one of Charlie's episodes where I appreciated what the writers were trying to do with her character (a female character who's not a demon or ambiguously evil, who's smart, who's cute interacting with Dean, etc.) but I didn't really like her in actuality (I liked Charlie later, though, in season 8) --TGwtDaDT ++Death's Door ++Hello, Cruel World 53 - Slash Fiction 47 - Time After Time 47 - Hello, Cruel World 33 - Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie 31 - Meet the New Boss 25 - Death's Door 23 - Reading is Fundamental 22 - The Mentalists 19 - The Born-Again Identity 15 - How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters 11 - There Will Be Blood 05 - Of Grave Importance 05 - Repo Man Bibbed: Season Seven: Time for a Wedding! 4. I'll have to watch Time After Time again--I completely forgot that Jason Dohring was in it and I watched it like a month ago! (My life has been pretty crazy lately.) Watching that episode isn't a hardship, though, because I do think it's one of Dean's top looks in the whole series. That was one nice suit. I also forgot to vote, so here are mine for the day: ++Hello, Cruel World ++Meet the New Boss --Adventures in Babysitting 51- Slash Fiction 43 - Hello, Cruel World 41- Time After Time 35 - Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie 25 - Meet the New Boss 23 - Reading is Fundamental 22 -The Mentalists 21 - Death's Door 17 - The Born-Again Identity 17 - How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters 13 - There Will Be Blood 11 - Of Grave Importance 09 - Repo Man 07 - The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo 05 - Out with the Old 03 - Survival of the Fittest 01 - Adventures in Babysitting Bibbed: Season Seven: Time for a Wedding! 5. I was wondering why Time After Time was so popular and then I remembered how good Dean looked in his period clothes (and he looked really, really good) but I don't really remember anything else in that episode being that noteworthy? Besides Krycek playing Ness, of course.

  7. The only way that story makes sense to me is if it's heavily fanwanked, so I like what you're saying about it. Like maybe Dean built it up into something it wasn't and he told Sam so many times that Sam believed it, too. But the whole thing just felt off--it didn't fit the Dean and John dynamic we've seen since season 1. At all. And learning that Jared and Jensen had a problem with it makes me feel better, actually. That was a weird scene that just felt like lazy writing to get to a parallel with the Claire situation. I actually liked most of the Cas and Claire stuff, though. I also thought Misha Collins did a good job at the very end when he has a look on his face like, "oh shit, I really don't want to have to kill Dean." The Dean and Cas scene in the diner was good, too. Misha and Jared have such nice chemistry together--I don't know why the writers have hardly given them any scenes together this year. I'm not a Destiel person, but I like their friendship a lot and exiling Cas in boring-angel-land was a bad move.
  8. The Slice Girls was just way too misogynistic for me. One of my least favorite episodes across the whole series, actually. The Girl Next Door bothers me a lot, too (I just don't think Dean would kill Amy--and if the show wanted him to, there should've been more understandable writing to support his decision). But I do like the flashbacks a lot in that episode. The younger actors were very good (and Jensen Ackles did a good job directing their performances). I also LOVE that Dean and Bobby watch telenovelas. --The Slice Girls ++Defending Your Life ++Meet the New Boss 37- Slash Fiction 35 - Time After Time 31 - Hello, Cruel World 29 - Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie 23 - Meet the New Boss 21 - Death's Door 19 - The Mentalists 19 - Reading is Fundamental 17 - How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters 15 - Out with the Old 15 - The Born-Again Identity 15 - Of Grave Importance 15 - There Will Be Blood 13 - The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo 13 - Repo Man 11 - Adventures in Babysitting 09 - Survival of the Fittest 07 - The Slice Girls 05 - Defending Your Life 01 - The Girl Next Door Bibbed: Season Seven: Time for a Wedding! 11. You know I was a huge Buffy and Angel fan, and it was fun seeing James Marsters and Charisma Carpenter together, but man that episode bugged me after The Girl Next Door. One week Dean has this no grey area when it comes to killing people who kill people attitude and a few week's later it's all "fun" and games when a few witches go frickin nuts. Really inconsistent writing and it made me hate Dean's actions in The Girl Next Door even more.
  12. Bibbed is Awesome (as Dean might say). I definitely laughed when I first read it. I also kind of liked the wedding episode--mainly cause of Dean's reactions. First to Sam and Becky and then to Garth. I think Garth's introduction is also well done here (I really like how Garth is goofy, and the polar opposite to Dean, but also competent). All the Becky stuff is awful though, of course.
  13. So I just started watching SPN a few months ago on Netflix and now I'm finally almost done (on the back half of season 9) and I just hate the Men of Letters bunker more and more. In fact, I hate the whole Men of Letters thing in general. I think it totally screws with the mythology of the show--John wasn't just an ordinary person before his wife was killed--He was a Legacy! Super secret special only he didn't know it!--and the whole theme of how the boys are hunters and that means living on the fringes in crappy motel rooms and abandoned houses, etc. I mean, I'm happy that Sam and Dean have a nice place to hang to their hats--but this complete wish-fulfillment-comic-book-lair type place? It makes me miss Bobby's messy, dilapidated house. And none of it feels real. As much as the show is (obviously) about the supernatural, the former details of the motel rooms and Bobby's house (where he always seemed to be cooking canned chili) just made it feel real. I don't get that feeling anymore.

  17. This is exactly how I feel. I was so excited at the thought of them going back to meet Samual Fucking Colt, and then the episode had its cute moments and all, but it was just kind of meh. Maybe if I rewatched it, I'd like it better. Both AwesomO4000 and SueB said most of what I like about "The Man Who Knew Too Much." It's got great Dean and Cas stuff. Great Sam stuff. Cas becomes a PISSY SCARY GOD. Crowley is used effectively and I LOVE how the Rolling Stones' song is weaved in. Kripke's last hurrah. It's probably my second favorite ep of the season. 18. I thought Jensen and Jared gave good performances in Live Free or Twihard but the episode didn't really do it for me. I don't know, this is probably just me being a sap but I didn't enjoy the soulless Sam story--I felt too bad for Dean the whole time. Live Free was especially painful--watching Dean suffer while Sam no longer gave a shit about him. + Weekend at Bobby's +The Man Who Knew Too Much --The French Mistake 15 - Frontierland 14 - Appointment in Samarra 14 - Weekend at Bobby's 12 - The Man Who Would Be King 11 - The French Mistake 10 - Mommy Dearest 05 - The Man Who Knew Too Much In flagrante with the King of Hell All Dogs Go to Heaven Unforgiven Mannequin 3: The Reckoning Like a Virgin Family Matters And Then There Were None Let it Bleed Caged Heat Exile on Main St. You Can't Handle the Truth Two and a Half Men The Third Man My Heart Will Go On Clap Your Hands If You Believe Live Free or TwiHard
  19. I actually love that speech--not for the "boo hoo princess" stuff but for the moment when Bobby says that John Winchester was an idiot and that Dean is a much better man than he ever was. I don't think Dean really hears it but at least someone said it. One of my favorite things about Bobby, actually, is his low opinion on JW's fathering abilities--and of course he doesn't go around criticizing him often (that would be tacky to do around John's sons) but his real opinion about JW comes out occasionally, like in this ep.
  20. This is actually one of my favorite Sam episodes. I liked him all fever-addled and remembering stuff from their childhood. First the ridiculous grand canyon donkey story and then that heartbreaking knight of the round table story when he says he always felt impure even as a kid. I don't know, I liked this episode! I also loved the part where Kevin said he knew it wasn't Sam and Dean from the moment they offered to go out and buy him some food and Crowley takes a beat and then replies, "You knew it wasn't them...because the demons were too nice?"
  21. Yeah, I thought part 1 was pretty boring but I really loved part 2. I think it's one of Jensen Ackles' best performances across the entire series. His desperation when Sam is dead, his happiness when Sam's alive again--the scene with Bobby. And I think it all comes to a head in that last scene when Dean says that it's his job to protect Sam and Sam says, "What do you think my job is?" And the look in Dean's eyes--you can literally see in both the scenes with Bobby and Sam in this episode that it never occurred to Dean that he's worth something just as himself. Not as Sam's protector, or John's son, or as a good hunter--but just as Dean Winchester. Like, I don't even think he realized that Bobby and Sam loved him just for himself until this episode. It kills me.
  22. +Weekend at Bobby's +The Man Who Knew Too Much --Frontierland 20 - Frontierland 20 - Weekend at Bobby's 19 - The French Mistake 18- The Man Who Would Be King 18 - Mommy Dearest 16 - Appointment in Samarra 10 - The Man Who Knew Too Much 06 - Live Free or Twihard 01 - Clap Your Hands If You Believe In flagrante with the King of Hell All Dogs Go to Heaven Unforgiven Mannequin 3: The Reckoning Like a Virgin Family Matters And Then There Were None Let it Bleed Caged Heat Exile on Main St. You Can't Handle the Truth Two and a Half Men The Third Man My Heart Will Go On
  23. God, they've been so boring for weeks now--I was pleasantly surprised when she left. They had zero chemistry. The whole time when she was standing around naked or kissing him I was just thinking, "Why can't this be Meg? Why do we have to settle for this pointless nonsense?" Now it makes sense to me, because I think Cas is going to have a crisis and maybe try to find Jimmy's family (I don't really know where they could go with that, because there's no way Cas is leaving the show, but maybe he'll be Jimmy for a few episodes or something). I liked Rowena, though. And it was interesting how Dean was sort of Cole's yellow-eyed demon which I'd never really thought about before. And although I thought that Cole was going to be a Daniel Holtz-like figure this season, I'm okay with Dean getting through to him and basically repairing his psyche. That was a nice and non-depressing turn of events.
  24. I wasn't a big fan of "My Heart Will Go On"--but I did enjoy that Dean kinda liked Titanic. + Weekend at Bobby's --Frontierland --Clap Your Hands 29 - Weekend at Bobby's 28- Frontierland 27- Appointment in Samarra 26 - The French Mistake 25 - The Man Who Would Be King 21 - Mommy Dearest 19 - The Man Who Knew Too Much 15 - Live Free or Twihard 10 - Clap Your Hands If You Believe In flagrante with the King of Hell All Dogs Go to Heaven Unforgiven Mannequin 3: The Reckoning Like a Virgin Family Matters And Then There Were None Let it Bleed Caged Heat Exile on Main St. You Can't Handle the Truth Two and a Half Men The Third Man My Heart Will Go On
  25. Caged Heat is a weird episode. I always enjoy Meg (her 2nd version anyway) but god that torture scene--it made me feel like a bad feminist for just watching it. And all the stuff with Grandpa Campbell never made any sense. And I kept expecting it to throughout the season, but no...it just didn't. I'm downvoiting The French Mistake because I didn't think it quite lived up to the hype. The boys are great in it but so much of the humor is "hollywood is lame" stuff which didn't feel super original. It's not one of my favorite Edlund episodes. (Although Jensen's bad acting is seriously brilliant--he does exactly what Dean would believe "acting" is.). --Two and a Half Men --The French Mistake ++The Man Who Would Be King 39 - Frontierland 33 - Appointment in Samarra 33 - Weekend at Bobby's 31 - The French Mistake 25- The Man Who Would Be King 23 - Mommy Dearest 23 - The Man Who Knew Too Much 19 - Live Free or Twihard 13 - Clap Your Hands If You Believe 11 - My Heart Will Go On 11 - The Third Man 05 - You Can't Handle the Truth 03 - Two and a Half Men In flagrante with the King of Hell All Dogs Go to Heaven Unforgiven Mannequin 3: The Reckoning Like a Virgin Family Matters And Then There Were None Let it Bleed Caged Heat Exile on Main St.
