I'd be surprised if it was Bucky, given his confirmed interest in women in The First Avenger. Sure, he could come out as gay or bi, despite that. Seems simpler to do it with a character that hasn't shown any interest in the opposite sex thus far - Sam and Carol are the obvious candidates. Maybe Nebula, if she has any sexual desires at all.

Of all of them. I think Carol is the best option, and I actually think they're more likely to go with a gay woman than a gay man, for their first queer superhero. I think they'd consider it less controversial, and probably less likely to cause fanboy outrage.

Carol Danvers has already engendered a stupid backlash from the trolls, making her queer would just make them lose their minds even more. I think Loki could be fluid or it could be one of the ladies of Black Panther in the Dora Milaje. Given that Wakanda was never colonized by Christians and Muslims; I could see Wakanda being fine with LGBT people since they worship the panther Goddess Bast.  Shuri being queer would be interesting..

OH, yeah. That was Stacy London. Some time later Stacy was a guest host (and may have been auditioning for permanent?) and Whoopi was nice as can be after calling her names earlier.

I believe there have been episodes when fashion people have "dressed" the hosts.

Whoopie is very thinned skinned and I was surprise that as an actress she would be like that. Actors are rejected all the time..

Meghan needs to stop with the clothes that define her waist.   my weight has gone up and down over the years, and one thing I have learned is that when you are large-breasted and short-waisted (a short torso, so that your boobs are close to your waist),  you don't wear a shirt tucked in to a waistband, or a belt around our waist.   you wear a longer top, a drop-waist style, or more flowy looks.  When you don't have a defined waist, then tucking a blouse into a tight pencil skirt is like putting a belt around an apple - trying to define a waist that isn't there.

Meghan at times dresses for the body she wishes she had.   I think The View should have a guest on who specializes in helping women dress for their body type.   they'd have a field day with Meghan and WHoopi.

I remember years ago, Whoopie had a meltdown on the show over a lady who dared to criticize her fashion sense in a magazine, she even called her a bitch on the air.. I was appalled that she got away with her BS..

    There!  Fixed that for you!!

Please, SO won't let it go, will she???

Thanks! for the fix. She will not let it go and it lets me know that she did get Leah and Holly fired..

  5. Sharon took a shot at Leah once again. She had a monologue where she said that she was accused of getting a co-worker fired who wrote that allegation in her book and she did no such thing. She said Leah got herself fired, of course she never said her name, but we know who she was referring to.. What a vile woman! She is so obsessed with Leah, the lady doeth protest too much.

The season finale was a bit of a letdown once it became obvious that Kingsley was going to die and his heart would go to Andre. Next season’s dynamics would have been so much more interesting if they had kept him around. I wish someone else would have been Andre’s donor.  The show feels stale. I almost wish they would have ended it this season.

I actually think it would have been a good idea for Kingsley to bond with his family and for Jamal to come back feeling displaced. Jamal inherited Luscious' ruthlessness and it could have been explored more with a jealous Jamal trying to get rid of Kingsley.  Perhaps, his schemes would break up his marriage with Kai. Andre having cancer was just too much, his mental issues is enough to give him stories.

Wow, they disposed of Kingsley so quickly. Too bad it was too late to change that story. I think that actor was good and Kingsley would have been good as the third son taking Jamal's role. However, Lee might prefer to add a gay character to the show.

I agree with this, I really wanted Kingsley to survive and take Jamal's spot. Jamal can stay away with his husband enjoying their lives.  I think Kingsley could have added an interesting dynamic to the show.  It would have been cool to see him build a relationship with Luscious.

So Cookie is over Lucious. They could use a break from each other. I am sure they will eventually get back together. I hope that Damian Cross is back next season.

I like Damian Cross and I hope we see more of him next year.

From this article about her appearance on Seth Meyer's show:

McCain hasn't addressed the appearance, except to thank conservative writer Seth Mandel for a pair of tweets calling her an ally and accusing Meyers of "protecting Congress's most prominent antisemite."

Does Megan ever denounce Islamaphobia? What a vile human being! I truly despise her..

Well, I did watch Dr. Biden as I said I would. She is a lovely woman, and a great asset to Biden's campaign. Did she ever have children of her own? I was hoping she would tell us about them, if, indeed, she did have biological kids. When MM starts her "grief" act, I wish someone would point out to her that many people wake up in the morning having their loved ones here. That night, they may not still have those they love anymore. Life can change so quickly and tragically, to young and old alike. MM needs to realize not everyone has a chance to say "good bye and I love you" like she  presumably did.

She gave Biden a daughter I believe and raised the two boys with him.  I just roll my eyes when Megan speaks about her grief, she acts like she is the only to have ever suffered a loss.  Personally, I feel that she can go see a psychiatrist and work out her issues, it is why I cannot feel sorry for her at all when she starts her spiel about grief.  She has never spoken about her grandmother who as a centenarian buried her son.

Clearly the people McCain surrounds herself with are as reprehensible as she is herself. Omar is proving to be McCain’s undoing and I can’t say how happy I am the first elected Muslim woman is helping to put this rich, privileged daughter-of in the trash can of public opinion where she belongs.

You are the company that you keep.  Why is she so obsessed with her? Megan just loves to hate on somebody who is not like her..

It really irritates me when Nutmeg says that brain cancer is worse than other terminal cancers or fatal diseases.  Dead is dead, Meghan.  Those left behind are as grief stricken whether their loved one died from brain cancer, Alzheimer's, ALS, whatever.  They are all miserable diseases.  It's also more tragic when the person who died is in their teens, twenties or relatively young as opposed to someone in their 80s.  Shut up!

    Baby Archie? Umm.

This is why I did not watch the Jill Biden interview because I did not want to hear Megan crow again about her dad and knowing what the Bidens had gone through with their son losing his life to cancer.  He left small children behind. Megan was a fully formed adult when she lost hers.

Also Megan was really quiet in the first block, I guess her smackdown by Seth last night had her feeling blue. I want to kiss Seth for that lovely exchange. She did speak at the end though.

I am glad that the ladies acknowledged the shooting but did not speak on it in depth. Megan would have derailed the conversation with her hysterias as soon as Joy brought up gun control.  Whoopie acted like a moderator and kept the topics going..

Great interview with NYT Suzanne Craig last night. An added bonus David Cay Johnston to debunk any of trump's claims.

Now the he has tweeted (this am) fake news, why doesn't he come clean and prove it? Suzanne Craig seemed to infer that there's more to come especially since Heilemann said dozens of banks could have the same info to process his requests for mortgages.

Lies are unraveling and the truth will come out one way or another.. The founders were prescient in enshrining the freedom of the press as part of the first amendment of the constitution.

  13. To be fair, a lot of people are going to wonder what color the Sussex baby will be.  The baby will stand out no matter what.  Wendy's hatred of Megan Markle is odd, but, Wendy seems to hate certain women of color for no apparent reason. I try to figure out why and I have no clue. I really did not like how she diminished Zendaya as just another pretty face with no talent.  Zendaya has more class, talent, intelligence and self-awareness than Wendy will ever have.  Wendy is just an awful person and she will never change.

I popped in today and agree it is a total snooze. Wendy was rude to the fashion panel gal, asking if she had a date to the Met Gala. She didn't and was obviously embarrased, but Wendy kept on it. Wendy, you are not a lesser person if you go places without a date.

Well, Wendy is about to be a single woman who is not very attractive. Good luck Wendy, you will need it.  She seems to always dog single women like they are inferior to women with partners. Has she ever thought that some women have had traumatic experiences and do not wish to be in a long-term relationship for a time period. What a superficial insipid woman!

It looks like plastic surgery from the pics in this DailyMail article.

Why Julie ? why? I remember when they had their makeup-free day as a season opener. Julie looked so youthful and beautiful without all the make-up and hair extensions. Aisha as well. Sharon had beautiful skin, wow.. To have kept her pale skin like that while living in California was an achievement in my eyes.. I know that she has had help with surgeries, but, still.. Megan McCain rivaled her in beautiful skin and she is from Arizona.

I would assume plastic surgery for some sort of a comeback. It may just be a new season of Big Brother, but competition between women and how they look in LA is fierce.

The sad thing is that Julie does not need any plastic surgery. I remember her opening up about how she was told to look less Asian when she worked in Ohio as a news reporter. The same thing was told to Oprah, she was actually told to get a nose job and to lighten her skin.  The kicker was that she was told this by another Black woman. It is just insane!

My ex stole a lot of my stuff. I feel badly for WW about that. Imagine going to the grocery store and seeing your custom made earrings in the cashiers ears...the one he always used to flirt with. I think my jaw literally dropped.

Up thread someone said it will come down to the best lawyer. It will, but I hope that a forensic accountant can shed a light on where there money has gone. As in how much to the Morristown house and Sharina’s lifestyle and upkeep. I’m sure the records are going to be closed and Wendy never spills on what’s happening in her own life so we may never know the truth. I just hope that they never put their son in the middle (on the witness stand) of this nasty business.

I’m not sure how I’m seeing her. Yesterday I was torn between thinking she was arrogant or angry. I may post again after watching today.

I don't know how to feel for Wendy because I  remember how she used to revel in people's misery.  She used to always trash men who sought spousal support from their wives and used to criticize the wives for not protecting themselves from their husbands. She used to shade Mary J Blige and Sherry Shepherd and now she is in their position.  Plus, she used to always act like her husband was the best husband in the world. She used to constantly put women down who do not wish to be married, I used to think that she was implying that they must be lesbians because they are not defined by having a man in their lives. Wendy is obsessed with LGBT people for the wrong reasons. She looks down on them and would never say it out loud due to her industry.  Wendy is all about the appearances and not living an authentic life.  She also has these antiquated views on men/women relationships that would come out of my grandmother's mouth.

The trades have been saying that Julie Chen has been nosing around trying to see if they will accept her back on The Talk.  Sara would have to agree to that because she will still be executive producer.

I doubt that she will be back. Unless, she divorces Les.  It would be very uncomfortable for all of the ladies and the people behind the scenes, given what Les did to women. Julie needs to move on, not to be superficial, but she is set for life.  She can devote herself to other things in life that interests her and she can be a full time mom to her son who will have to deal with his dad's unfortunate legacy.

Well, THAT announcement was anti-climatic!!!  Bummer!!

Sharon's smile was so forced, she is not happy with this addition. I cannot say that I blame her.  I am not thrilled with Marie Osmond either, but, if it annoys Sharon then I can deal. I am so happy that Sharon no longer has any power. Julie and Les leaving has really defanged her, now she is just an employee like anybody on the stage; she too can be replace.

The only reason NutMeg didn't get all shriek and squinty during the Jika interview was because he repeatedly heaped praise on John McCain as the only Republican (elected) that stood up to Trump.  As a result, she sat mostly silent, lapping up the adoration.

Of course! everybody must kiss the ring of the late John McCain.

What I noticed was how quiet Meghan got (fiddling with her hair, drinking her coffee) when Joy and Sunni were talking about being from Brooklyn and the Bronx, respectively. I was wishing she'd try to jump in with something about being from the "mean" streets of Arizona. 😁

She did say that Joe Biden would go all Delaware on Trump yesterday. I am trying to understand what does that mean to go all Delaware on somebody.

I love Joe!  He does like to talk- a lot!  But I learn a lot from watching their show.   They have many different political views, and often as many as 5 different people at the table.  I have yet to see anyone on that show scream over each other, insult each other , or almost cry.  In the commercials for the View, Meghan says anyone who wants to achieve the next level in politics must come on their show. I think Morning Joe is that show

The thing about Joe is that once in a while his suppressed contempt for Democrats comes out loud and clear. I do agree with you that his panel is awesome and he has wonderful topics. I am still upset by the free publicity that was given until his association with that person came back to haunt him via Mika.
