I'm only half listening, but they all seem a bit dismissive of Beto - or is it just me?

I wonder if it is because the media has been gaga over Beto to the detriment of others in the race. Nevertheless, it is pretty rude to be dismissive to a guest.

There is tension between Whoopie and Megan, Sunny is not even looking at her. Something must have happened in their morning meeting yesterday.  Nutmeg is trying so hard to have an ally by kissing up to Joy and Joy is not having it.  Megan views Ana as a traitor to her side, her asking Ana in a nasty tone if she was pro-choice yesterday was proof of that..

According to an article posted on the previous page, the ratings went up the last time Marie guest hosted. She's been a regular fill-in for about as long as Carnie (if not a bit less) and Carnie has said that she wants the job so I don't know why she was passed over. Who knows?

Carnie has been guest-hosting for years, ever since the cast changes after season 1.  She should have gotten the job for her loyalty..

I am getting weary of the mostly insipid topics on this show and with the oncoming tsunami of phoniness that is Marie, I will probably check out of this show.  Just as I have said when Joy leaves the View, so will I.  That will really open my day.  I zip thru the morning news on cbs trying to avoid the so depressing condition of our country and the world, 2 hours becomes 20-30 minutes at most.  And dr. Shill has become ridiculous with the imbedded  commercials for his and robins products and facilities.  And most of his topics/guests seem so phony baloney.

Sally Jessie Raphael!  Where is she and Oprah when we need them!

    thank heavens for the ‘liberry’🤓

I may stick around for Sheryl. I also love her friendship with Carrie ann. Eve has grown on me as well.  I am going to really miss Sarah, she has come out of her shell.  I know that she wants to dedicate to her craft as an actress and leaving the show will help her to do that..

I was surprised that none of them seemed to be aware that these anti-abortion laws are frequently anti-birth control laws as well, since they often interpret birth control as a form of abortion.

Joy alluded to that when she was trying to push back on Megan..

The abortion conversation was great because it showed the panelists all with true differing opinions. This show is best when that is on full display.

If only Nutmeg was not there, it would have been perfect.

Oh, they all have the cojones...and they're champing at the bit.  ME TOO!

I don't think "losing" is the operative word.  There are probably some STRONG instructions before every show about what and who may not be mentioned or even hinted about--particularly after major faux pas by (usually) Megan and (now) her husband.  (I'd bet Meghan's publicist demands this and requests that it be handled before MM arrives for their morning meetings, so she won't be upset.)

She is clearly unhappy on the show and I am happy about that.  She is obviously not liked by the panel, except for Whoopie and even she is getting tired of her.

This show will not jettison Meghan until after 2020. If anyone else other than her had acted the say she has? They'd have been FIRED looong ago. Yet here she still remains.

I agree with this, but I am hoping that she will implode during a tirade when somebody pushes back on her talking points  and she says unspeakable things that will get her fired..

whoa jennifer love hewitt! put away your over 40 droopy fun bags. this is coming from someone who knows of what she speaks. cover up woman. no one needs to see that much cleavage . but she has always loved putting her  girls on display.

Lmao, I would prefer her over Marie Osmond who is coming in the fall.  I think that the show was too quick to offer her the job. I think it may backfire on them..

Yeah I remember KDP having to play Blair losing her child while she was pregnant I wouldn't have given her that storyline considering but she did it anyways.

That being said since I don't want a JJ/Theresa pairing ever I'm glad they listened to her but like I said making this public doesn't reflect well on her and honestly it insults CM too because he is just doing his job and its not his fault. I don't think he likes most of the storylines JJ gets these days (I don't either) but  he has the good sense to keep it to himself lol.

Patsy Pease who played Kim was heavily pregnant with her second child and she refused to play another story where Kim lost a full term baby and that is how we got Theresa.  She had done a similar story with her first pregnancy and it was really traumatizing for her..  She was too scared of losing her job so she kept quiet about it, she never agreed with the show killing off Kim's first daughter.  I hated that story and it was so cruel of the writers to do that. Kim refused to take drugs to treat her pneumonia so that her baby girl would not be harmed by them. It was all for naught.

Watching the show on youtube at the time that Theresa was born, it did seem like an afterthought. The writers were clearly not interested in her and there was tension between Patsy and the show for her refusal to play that story. Patsy was basically told that Charles who played Shane was more important than her, so she had to deal with it, period..

I like Abe but honestly there needs to be younger/new blood for some of these roles I mean seeing John, Steve etc fight bad guys at their advanced age is just played out to me.

Seeing guys like Paul, Eric and Eli do it are just fine and makes more sense the older guys can be a mentor type role.

True, but, Paul, Eric and Eli are poorly defined, it is even worst for Eric since he was born on the show and the son of Marlena Evans.  Eric should be driving his own stories with his own struggles and falling in love.

While I disagree with Meghan's stance on abortion (and the way she shares it), I totally agree that the proposed sex strike is not feminist.

I assumed Alyssa was being facetious when she said that. Joy did tell her that  if Abortion is banned then it will be birth control.. Megan needs to read about what happened in Romania when Abortion and birth control were not only banned but women were mandated by the government to have 5 kids to increase the country's population.  The unintended consequences were horrific and chilling.

‘I was waiting for this. Lee and the others really miscalculated this season, imho. He had gold to work with but now with the Jamal/Jussie fallout and all the plot holes he created with his unplanned finale, I think Empire is going to limp to the finish line. It’s a shame.

I wonder how Jussie will move forward knowing that people will blame his scandal on the show's demise.  The show lost it's way long before that, it became hard to watch but people will connect him to it's cancellation.  At the end of the day, was his dumb act worth all of this.  It is not the just the actors losing their jobs, it is all of the people behind the scenes that come together to give us a show.   I have no doubt that Terrence, Taraji, Gabby and Trai will work again. I don't think the same can be said for Jussie.. What I loved about the show was seeing so many Black actors working on the show.

I beg to differ that she knows she's out of her depth. Whoever bought her the word of the day calendar, you need to suffer. 😄

You are right, she is delusional and believes she should be on the panel with these women who made their own way.

I get a kick out of her coming out everyday with a scowl on her face.  There is tension between her and Sunny because Sunny barely looked at her today.

So are we supposed to use this tomorrow and see how fast it takes to call Bingo?  I'm guessing two segments … unless she is "sick" again.

Are people still dragging her online? She is truly hated on there and what is so cool, nobody on the right cares enough about her to say something in her defense other than that odious Shapiro.  As Evelyne Lozada from Baskettball wives would say, Nutmeg is a non motherfuckin factor. Excuse my language since she is such a fan of the Housewives, I am sure she would appreciate Evelyne's quip.

If you never knew any other way, there's probably no room for guilt.

ETA: Of course, 25yrs of comments by friends, relatives, strangers like me should have caused at least a cringe.

To be fair, I am sure most rich celebrities take care of their close families and close friends who were there for them before they made it big. I am pretty sure Whoopie made sure her mom and brother were taken cared of.. Billionaire Oprah took care of all of her close family even her mother who treated her like shit all her life.

If I was rich beyond my wildest dreams, I would give money to my family. I have always gotten the vibe that Whoopie was not really there for Alex and that she relied heavily on her mom to take care of Alex while she pursued her dreams as an artist. Not to mention, Whoopie is an addict, who knows how that may have affected Alex.  I remember she told a story of being in a run down hotel high as kite, not bathing for days and hallucinating like crazy.

    Yes I wouldn't mind a JJ/Eve revisit

It would be a good use of history if Abe brought up Lexie and her fixation on Zach way back when.

Evil Lexie was awesome and it was foreshadowed years before she fell into the Dimera curse like her other siblings before her.  Renee Jones acted the hell out of that story..

Do we know why Whoopi's daughter and son-in-law don't work?

I think people have speculated that her daughter does not work because it seems that her mother is always trying to make her happen.  Like the time she had a line of socks and another time it was make-up. Whoopie is no Kris Jenner that woman made her talentless vacuous daughters millionaires and her youngest is a billionaire.  Perhaps, Alex can hire Kris to make her a star..

Whoopi kind of seems like a nightmare if you are on her good side.

As Jenny McCarthy said Whoopie was a control freak intimidating and nasty.

Jenny was spot on in her scathing assessment of Whoopie and it explains why Sunny holds back.  She has said things we all observe on here.  Here are what she said about Whoopie.

"That was one of the hardest things about 'The View,' was not being able to put your point forward," said McCarthy. "I will say Whoopi would throw to commercial break just as you wanted to make your point of view and she had a very dominating voice, not only sounding, but it's scary, almost like fierce, you don't want to f--k with her."

"People don’t understand. Whoopi can knock over anyone in a debate. Her voice is not only strong in meaning but in sound. I wasn’t going to play a kiss ass. To me, Whoopi had an addiction to controlling people’s thoughts, their words, the room, the table, your feeling, your mood," McCarthy adds. "She had an addiction to controlling all of it and everybody.”

  20. Whoopie's refusal to speak about the book "Ladies who Punch on Andy's show lets me know that she was rattled by it and that some truth bombs were dropped.. Jenny McCarthy had some strong words about her in addition Rosie O.. Whoopie sounds like a nightmare if you get on her bad side..
