  1. At least there were no stupid elimination games this episode! I mean, other than the death (I had a feeling it would be Natalie) ... and whatever socially inept dude was doing in his underwear drawer ... (do I care? Not really.) I was wondering if the Chicago shooting could be the Chicago incident previously mentioned in the series, but I thought that might be too much continuity for this show. They proved me wrong! I'm almost a little bit proud ... except it apparently means Da Bears *immediately* joined up with the FBI after his girlfriend was shot (because that was near the end of 2014, and the attacks happen in July 2015 and I don't remember how long they've been in training, so is this even possible timeline-wise? Unless the series is going into the future and the terrorist attacks happen in July of this year? I don't know why I'm bothering to think about this.) I think my favorite part of this episode was the reliance on Myers-Briggs personality types *specifically* (rather than just observing the subject and deciding on a course of action or whatever). Probably because mine has been different each time I've tried it.
  2. Soooo disappointed in this incarnation of Megara. OuaT turned a sassy and fun character into a bland damsel in distress. MEH. I wouldn't have minded Herc sticking around, but oh well. Actually, on a random superficial note, I think the actor could've been good either as a 20-something Baelfire/Neal (would've made his initial meeting with teenage Emma slightly less creepy) or even an aged up Henry (... not that i want an aged up Henry or can think of any reason for one). Speaking of Henry, if that twit really helps Cruella so his mom will stop being a "murderer," so help me ... Is this the first hint we've gotten of how Snow turned into bandit Snow? I could swear it came up before in a previous season, but I can't remember a thing. Anyway, hell yeah to Snow instead of Mary Margaret.
  3. Yeah, this was straight up terrible. Basically everything that was bad about the previous episodes (ridiculous elimination games for the freakin' FBI, completely incompetent FBI -- probably because the competent NATs all got weeded out -- fixation on Alex's opinion for no logical reason, etc.) ramped up a notch without even much silly personal drama to balance it out. I'll probably keep watching because I'm a sucker, but ... I did for a brief glorious moment think that the mastermind was going to be revealed, and they were wearing a CAPE ... but then it just turned out to be hostage!Natalie in a long coat *sigh*
  4. I agree with those saying while this was a fine episode, it didn't have enough oomph to be a proper finale to the show. I hope this isn't the end, but I know things don't look too good for renewal ... My favorite part of the episode was definitely when Jarvis was so very offended by the idea of Peggy taking a taxi, and then so very delighted to be driving her. Peggy and Jarvis make my heart happy. Howard too! He's always great fun. Ana was an excellent addition to the cast as well, and her scene with Peggy was so sweet. I was less sold on the relatively easy takedown of Whitney (though I did love Manfredi going to Howard for help because he really loves Whitney, because aww) and the PeggyxSousa romance. The kiss was hot, but my heart wasn't there. (Maybe because I'm such a huge PeggyxSteve fan, and no one else has even come close.) Ah, well. I also kind of feel like only reason Wilkes threatened Peggy was so that he would be out of the romantic running without Peggy needing to be a jerk (falling for someone else while he was incorporeal), and that feels like a cheat to me. I still do love this show though, and the ultimate cheat will be if the promise of the story to come in the final scene isn't ever told. I also think it was Michael who shot Jack and is the M of the file. One more season of that plus the actual founding of SHIELD would be perfect ... Please, Marvel/ABC/powers that be!
  5. I too have a soft spot for Manfredi. Actually, I have a soft spot in general for crazy villain couples, and Whitney and Manfredi definitely qualify there. Peggy and Jarvis are the best. Hayley Atwell and James D'Arcy have so won me over as actors -- in this show in general, but they've done a particularly great job in these episodes -- that I would basically watch them in anything. Sousa has become more interesting to me lately (never had a problem with him, but he was usually just "nice" and not much else). His frustration with Aloysius was hilarious. Jack's manipulations have my head spinning, but I am so glad he's not just blindly following Vernon. Wilkes disappoints me; I don't feel like we've really seen his desperation go to the point of holding a gun to Peggy's head. I would almost rather he blamed his sudden turn on the voice in his head.
  6. I liked this pair of episodes, though watching two at once makes it hard to recall the fine details for discussion. Dottie was great as always. I mean, yeah, bringing her out from prison was tantamount to releasing her, but she actually did (surprisingly) accomplish the objective -- and anyway, it was fun to watch. I would also say that seeing Dottie scared of Whitney made Whitney that much scarier. Speaking of Whitney, I've enjoyed that her natural curiosity -- basically, her being a scientist -- never leaves her, as we saw in the scene with Wilkes. She has to know how it works, to test and see results. I don't think Anna's going to die (at least, I hope not!), but I appreciated that Peggy doesn't bother with telling Jarvis things will turn out fine -- they both know it's meaningless to say so, and simply being there for someone is the best you can do.
  7. I thought the reason she was replaying the video at the end was that Lucifer clearly didn't push Agent Joe (or whatever his name was) enough (at all?) to cause him to shatter a glass pane like that, and she was trying to figure out how Lucifer did it. I didn't see any reason for "enhance and SHOCK!* either though. (I only half watch this show at the best of times though, so I could be off-base. Tom Ellis is entertaining, but the character is not nearly devilish enough, and I reeeeaaally don't care for Chloe at all.)
  8. I'd been spoiled on the infamous blood spurting scene, but it still took me aback. Projectile-blood-vomiting is just ... apparently, it gives me the giggles and I can't quite take it seriously. (I'm glad I'm not the only one.) In other matters, Edith looked very pretty this episode (go, Edith! Get your happy ending!), and Denker was a bitch who needs to stop sucking up screentime. Can it go to Talbot instead, so he can actually get a chance to show some personality, please? I enjoy Tom and Mary's brotherly/sisterly friendship, but I would be totally uninterested in a romance between them.
  9. Aww, I'm glad things were tied up reasonably well this time, even if I would love another season. I hope they release both seasons on Blu-ray/DVD so I can watch it all over again from the beginning/force friends and family to watch it with me. Tad Cooper, I super believe in you!
  10. I adore this show. Peggy and Mr. Jarvis are perfection as always, and Mrs. Jarvis seems like she'll be a lot of fun too. Loved seeing Dottie back as well, and I'm glad they're keeping her in reserve. The new conspiracy is promising (I had the same thought that the Zero matter might be related to Agents of SHIELD's monolith). I thought things were moving pretty quickly between Peggy and Wilkes, so I wasn't surprised when he (seemingly) died. I fully expect him to return. I like him all right as a character, though jury's still out for me whether he's the "right" match for Peggy (but I'd need more than two episodes in any case). Sousa still seems to have some feelings there, and I don't entirely trust his new girlfriend. There was something a little bit off about that scene at the end that I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe her nurse's uniform is just too blindingly white.
  11. I too preferred the second episode tonight, especially since it had both the excellent "Maybe you won't die alone" and Madalena's almost-kind-of-touching feelings song. I don't mind her having feelings (especially bad ones) so long as they don't make her too squishy. The earring gag was great too. And while I don't love Isabella's evil tiara (I was kind of hoping that the singing of the evil plan would mean it wouldn't work), Karen David's perky wedding planning was pretty hilarious, especially the raspy voice when Chef tried to take it away.
  12. I'm so glad to have this show back, and it is just as hilarious as before. Like others, I enjoyed the unicorn gag. On a random superficial note, I didn't think it would be possible to pull off Princess Jasmine's (of Aladdin) hair on a real person, but Isabella managed it.
  13. Was this the "winter finale"? I didn't see a preview for the next episode. (ETA: It was the winter finale, per the show's twitter account.) Cat seemed strangely disconnected from the contents of her e-mails. I mean in the sense of, she wrote/received those e-mails, so why was she acting like she had no idea what might be in them? And I guess it took Kara saving Cat's bacon for Cat to properly look at her and see Supergirl. I expected a slightly more dramatic reveal there, but of course there will be more to come. Did the blonde lady on the team of evil aliens have the power of deadly bad breath?! Almost forgot: I hope/suspect we get to meet Cat's first son soon. Interesting that he's about Kara's age ....
  14. Megan Ory starred in the Hallmark Christmas-themed movie Dashing Through the Snow about a guy and a girl who get stuck using the same rental car for a road trip. Oh, and the FBI is after her because ... reasons. I mostly watched it because of Megan, and it was a pleasant way to spend two hours. A cute romcom, if somewhat quickly wrapped up in the end. And there was an adorable puppy, so bonus!
  15. Things pretty much shook out as expected. I'm glad Fitz is OK, because I was very worried for him. I'm glad Ward is dead, though I found that scene very frustrating. Like others, I was practically yelling at my TV, "Portal closing, guys! Why are you still staring at Ward?!" There was a remarkable lack of concern about making it to the portal that took me out of the episode. I was disappointed the possible clues about Will not being a golden boy astronaut (not having changed from the old photo, possible Hydra connection with the mission, being cagey about the no-fly zone) came to nothing. It does make his story very depressing though ... I'm not sure if Jemma was supposed to be looking for Fitz or Will or both, but I can't blame her for looking so sad when she's gotten confirmation that the person who saved her life is dead, whether or not she was planning to pursue a relationship with him. Still, I wish she could've had the opportunity to choose Fitz for both their sakes. I also have mixed feelings about her releasing Andrew/Lash, but at least it's clear she is also having mixed feelings about it. Mack, Hunter, and Bobbi were all great. The three of them together are always so much fun. I also enjoyed the "power rangers" and Joey's bulletproof moment. I hope zombie Ward acts a little bit differently from the Ward we know, because I am way past sick of that Ward. This episode didn't engage me as fully as some of the others this season (which to be fair, in my opinion has been the best so far), but I'm still looking forward to spring. And hell yes to Agent Carter in January, of course!
  16. Phew, this episode was such a mess it was hard to concentrate on anything or follow the different threads. Natalie's scar story was so stupid. Why couldn't she remove it after the case against her ex had ended and say it healed? I still don't get how she ended up in a relationship with Booth in present time (the goodbye scene lent a little credence to their relationship, but it still is weird). I don't like Raina caring for the terrorist boss; Nimah calls her naive, but that goes way beyond naive, and I expected better from her. I don't like Simon getting kicked out because he fought with Booth way back when -- I don't even remember what the circumstances were, and it came down to Booth accidentally mentioning it. Shelby's sister is fake? What even? I want to punch my TV screen every time Miranda comes on with that look of awful sympathy because I know she's about to say something awfully stupid. Giving nats the authority to choose who is accepted and denied from Quantico is totally idiotic, but it falls right in line with every other idiotic exercise in this show. No wonder so many people with ~secrets~ got in this year; the last class must've sucked at this exercise! I don't remember the exact quote, but here's this week's dubious advice: "Doing the right thing often feels wrong!" So much cringe.
  17. For all the heart-wringing moments (Hook's jaw was doing some great acting as well, did anyone else notice?), some parts of the episode left me a bit cold. Like how Belle just keeps going back to Rumpel when he's evil (some "hero" he was to come up with his evil plan, huh?). Or how we get a little backstory on Hook (complete with nonsensical timeline -- pretty sure Hook is much older than 100) but it felt kind of out of place (at least to me -- great casting on baby Hook and Hook daddy though). Or how Killian's noble sacrifice was rendered completely POINTLESS within five minutes. Come on, show. Come ooooooon. I don't even mind that much that Zelena got randomly shooed away in a tornado or that there was no resolution for any of the Arthur plot (definitely not high on my priority list). I do mind that Hook's turn to darkness and subsequent heroism was so completely botched. That said, I'm looking forward to the part B plot more than I have in seasons, so there's that. ETA: Ohhh, I bet the point of Hook killing his father this episode is so they can meet in the underworld and have angst. Then hug it out in a 10 second resolution.
  18. FRIGGIN' WARD. That man needs to die in the most trifling way possible, yesterday. The rest of this episode was really good -- Coulson losing it, Mack taking charge, Daisy's team finally assembling -- but I am never not gonna be mad about Ros. And Fitz and Simmons better both be OK or I am gonna riot.
  19. I don't get the place of the possibly-homicidal-serial-killer catcher in this series; to be more precise, I don't get why they made her possibly homicidal. I guess just to make Simon freak out and do whatever gets him kicked out of Quantico? It's yet another thing that looks the FBI in this show look totally incompetent (because apparently everyone else missed what a trainee caught from a short exercise, and she would rather threaten to kill him than, I don't know, try to talk her way out of it?). I groaned out loud when Alex said "Guilty." I mean, I saw it coming, it's just impossibly stupid and makes zero sense.
  20. The other replies here are helping me understand why I felt a bit "meh" about this episode. I'm just not satisfied with Hook's journey into the ~dark. Colin did a fine job, but I got whiplash from the change from regular Hook to Dark!Hook, which wasn't the case for Rumpel or Emma. Maybe there's some underlying motive, like there was for Dark Emma/the curse ... but as this episode showed, the writers are often not very good at coming up with satisfying explanations for mysteries they've presented (there was no good reason for Emma be to taunting everyone at the beginning of the season like she was really ~dark). I'm also kind of wondering if it was actually Hook appearing as Belle in the break-up scene. I did get a giggle out of "Baby Hood" and "green bean."
  21. Or maybe Lucy has a personal phone and a workphone. Though I'm sure the writers weren't actually thinking of that. This show is definitely growing on me. I was figuring I would have dropped it by now (the first few episodes didn't make much of an impression), but instead I'm enjoying it a lot. I thought Carter would be a brat and the babysitting plot would be stupid, but instead he seemed like a shy but curious kid, and his crush on Supergirl was cute. His being a good kid reflected well on Cat too. They're definitely building toward something with Alex and Max. I thought there was good chemistry there.
  22. I thought this episode was pretty awesome. By the end, I was all, "OH NO JENNY" "OH NO JOE" "OH NO ABBIIIIIIE." But there's no way they would kill her off. I am concerned that she might be stuck somewhere for part/all? of the next arc, and that's not cool because ... I am wondering if there'll be anything beyond the rest of this season. They didn't even mention at the end of the episode when the series is coming back. I know from keeping up to date online, but if I was a casual viewer, I'd be wondering if the show was cancelled on a cliffhanger. Come on, Fox, don't you want viewers to come back? (Or maybe they figure even if they do say, people will just forget in the interim?)
  23. I liked how this episode tied together the various plotlines we've been following. At first I was annoyed at Simmons being upset, but it made sense for her to be mad at herself (and struggling under all the different emotions), and I'm glad all of that is in the open. Fitz's "We're cursed!" was particularly cathartic. Not to mention the "dove through the universe" line. I'm glad Ros isn't Hydra. But Coulson, even if I understood your reasons, you were a jerk. Hunter's over-the-top British hacker act was definitely the highlight of the episode.
  24. I've been lukewarm so far on this show (and I missed more than half of last week's episode from other things going on), but I really enjoyed this episode. Maybe because of all the great non-romantic relationships that got some development -- Cat and Kara, Alex and Kara, both girls and Eliza. I did wonder how, if Winn is Kara's "best friend" as her opening intro says, Kara didn't know his family situation/his dad being in jail. Has it been established how long they've known each other? I guess I can buy it if they've only been friends in their adult years (when it's more natural not to meet or mention parents), though how sad for Kara if Winn is her closest friend and she doesn't even know that much about him.
  25. I think the hacker group pair are better agents than the actual agents. I mean, they managed to infiltrate a locked down area and escape with the suspect to an airport. Though it seems from the preview Looks like the profile Caleb was looking at a few episodes back of "Mark Ryan" (or whatever the name was, with a picture of Caleb himself) was a fake one to infiltrate (?) another cult-like group?
