  1. What a natural and not at all staged looking photo of her and Dean kissing in the pool. You know what's weird is that three older kids have such bloated faces, but their bodies aren't that overweight. Especially the oldest one. His arms and legs don't look fat all, but his facial features are starting to get distorted by the extra puffiness. The girls' limbs look a little chubby, but again most of the extra weight is in their faces. They're obviously posing for pictures for someone, so I am assuming this vacation is at least partially underwritten by someone else. And maybe Candy picked up part of the tab. Or maybe she just figures creditors can't repossess a vacation so she may as well spend the money while she has it.
  2. I actually am reasonably impressed that Leah has not gotten pregnant since Addie. I would guess all the turmoil from 2015-2017 probably helped in that regard (all the stress and strange eating and sleeping patterns probably gave Leah's super fertility a beating), but still, at least some credit goes to Leah, particularly with that last douchebag she was with. Major credit to her for not tethering herself to that dumpster fire for 18 years. And I love, love, love the whole concept of, great Victoria, you got knocked up by an out of the country one night stand. Not your proudest moment, but at least now we can take another beach vacay to break the news, because as @Birdee pointed out evidently the cell phone that is permanently attached to Leah's hand doesn't make international phone calls.
  3. Drew was actually really good on Loveline. He was pretty no-nonsense in his answers, but he didn't come across as overly judgmental or mean spirited either.
  4. According to his Wikipedia page, Dr. Drew really struggled in his youth whether to pursue medicine or try to become an opera singer, like his mother. I think Dr. Drew may have always had his eye on something in the entertainment world, but felt like pursuing it was much riskier than becoming a doctor. This may be his happy medium, and his professional reputation in the medical world probably doesn't trouble him much.
  5. Fair point, but... unemployed, child abuser, murderer, psychopath...um, one of these things is not like the others, Kail. Perspective.
  6. Out of curiosity, I checked it out. This made me laugh out loud: This however, made me scream at my desk: Is that actually her? I haven't watched since the first episode but I do not remember her looking that scary. ETA: OMG, guys, you've got to read Spencer's Thanksgiving recap. I just choked on my baby carrots twice. My two favorites:
  7. I really think it's mostly the hair. Minus the hair, I think he's actually a little less unfortunate looking than he was a year ago. I could see him growing into his face.
  8. I know...if she weren't such a hateful person, I would feel really, really sorry for her. Actually, I kind of do anyways, even though she's a bitch. She obviously hates herself and spends a ton of money and energy reinventing herself (from WASPy junior leaguer to suburban gangster and everything in between), has a gaggle of paid friends who care more about their free vacations than ever giving her some hard truths (not that she'd listen), and for what- impressing a bunch of people who will have no interest in her once she's no longer relevant, or consider her not even relevant at this point and already have no interest in her. And she doesn't even realize it.
  9. I live in an area where everyone has a cabin on the lake and the house rule every where I've always been is, if you're going to go as far as being on a dock (not even on a boat necessarily), you need a life jacket (if you're younger than 14).
  10. Maybe it's different in other jurisdictions, but most bodies of water I have been on, kids under a certain age legally have to be wearing life jackets. Lux absolutely should not be without a life jacket.
  11. What interest rate are you using? Even a 3% (about the best she could do, and I think she's mentioned not having the best credit before, so wouldn't surprise me if she was closer to 4.5%) comes up with a monthly payment of $3,077.
  12. Right, between the mortgage, property taxes, and heating and cooling that monstrosity, she's looking at around $80-90K a year just to have a roof over her head and to keep the lights on. That doesn't even count maintenance and repairs, and her "landscaping" needs. I do believe TM2 will wring out a few more years, but I am sure she signed a 30 year mortgage and I wouldn't count on any of her other flash in the pan endeavors raking in much money in a few years.
  13. I am actually shocked she was able to get such a large mortgage, especially considering she put less than 20% down. And of course, because she has to flaunt her "wealth", she has once again made an unwise choice and given up her privacy. It won't take much of a market dip to be upside down on that house. And there's been some pretty constant rumblings about a recession coming. For her own sake, she should keep that house as nice as possible. She'll likely have to sell it within a few years.
  14. I think we all know the pride and self respect ship sailed a long time without Lauren on it when she agreed to be the third stringer intentionally impregnated by Javi... I mean, maybe she's learned from it, but...I doubt it.
  15. Subtext- I want to talk a bunch of shit about my ex publicly but I want the world to know it did cross my mind to stay out of it and I am now coming up with a bullshit rationalization for not minding my own business.
  16. Um, no, Kail, that's not how it works. People who naturally rise above the drama and petty bullshit do it because they are mature- or they just aren't interested in drama. It does not matter to them if they get credit for it. If there was ever proof that Kail is permanently emotionally stunted at 17, this is it.
  17. So, Lauren still gets a front row show when Javi eats bad shrimp, but doesn't get to see his super sexy gym locker room selfies. Sounds fair.
  18. So, in true Kail fashion, she's going to say she's taking the high road, while simultaneously actually doing the very thing she said she wouldn't do. Yes, that is my first action to take when I have a knockdown, drag out fight that gets the cops called. I immediately pull up my social media accounts and hit my fiance where it hurts- unfollowing him. Also, don't these jokers live together? What's the point of unfollowing someone online when you actually still share a physical space with them?
  19. Oh, I don't think Javi married Lauren or knocked her up because he was so desperate for a life partner, or to settle down. I think his motivation begins and ends with what, in his estimation, will make him marketable for reality TV.
  20. I can't decide which made laugh harder: Or Bless you.
  21. I never heard that. By all accounts I've read Jennie Garth and TAT are close friends. ETA: I just looked it up. I guess they are no longer friends. I wonder where Kathleen Robertson fit in during the shift of the old girls vs. new girls. Also, when reading about TAT and Jennie's feud- TAT is not aging well. Closeups show some seriously troweled on makeup.
  22. See, I thought Donna's early characterization was kind of cool, in a very understated way. She was definitely a follower, and none too bright, but there were layers of insecurity and a deep desire to fit in- I don't know if Tori was really a great actress or if Donna was a sort of extension of Tori, but I actually found early Donna very relatable. There are a lot of girls, especially in high school, just like her. They may, at first glance, seem like a typical snooty popular girl, kissing up to the alpha female (which Donna certainly could be, and did) but there is a real vulnerability there too. I thought in an effort to soften both Kelly and Donna in the later years, they really kind of erased their personalities and made them virtually the same person. All the sudden they're both really into charities and giving advice and snapping at people for not being nice/responsible. But admittedly I only watched off and on so I may have missed some important character arcs. Interesting you say that about Val being a well developed character. I actually felt the opposite. The potential was certainly there, but they just made her so one dimensional all the time, unless the storyline called for her to a victim in some way. It also seemed like, as much as she insisted she just wanted to fuck Dylan, and Ray, and whoever else in the first couple seasons she was in, she actually really cared for them and was hurt when they never really cared about her. And when they'd let her have a functional relationship, like with David or Noah, that always got immediately spoiled and then both boys chose Donna over her anyways. It seemed like to me Val was a figurative punching bag for the writers who hated someone like her in their personal lives. The poor girl got her comeuppance in just about every episode. ETA: When TAT signed on to join the cast, it was incorrectly reported by one of my teenybopper magazines (probably Tiger Beat) that TAT was replacing SD- as a recast. I fully tuned in expecting to see Kelly Kapowski playing Brenda.
  23. Yeah, Shannen gave an interview that basically said she'd rather be fired than compromise in the mid 90s. It was definitely before Charmed and it may have even been during 90210. I'll give her credit- she puts her money where her mouth is.
  24. Don't get me wrong, I'm team Brenda all the way, but it sounds like Shannen was awful to casts and crews alike on just about every project she did in the 90s. Does anyone remember the 1995 movie Mallrats, where Shannen's character is at the mall and this guy looks at her and says, Brenda?! and Shannen slugs him and stomps off after calling him a dick.
  25. Huh. I never heard that. It could be true, I guess, since Aaron Spelling did cast Shannen in another show a few years later. I was just going off a comment Jennie made a few years back that Tori was always trying to play peacemaker between the two women. Shannen sounds like a right bitch back in the day though. If Tori was nice to her face but was the one who got her fired, I can see why she'd feel really awkward around her. It's a punk move, but I'm not going to hold it against Tori since it sounds like Shannen was really hard to work with.
