The dad of one of my 10-year-old daughter’s best friends is her fifth grade teacher this year, & I had this conversation with her. You’d think these professionals could figure it out.

I’m guessing based mostly on looks (she’s gorgeous), not dance.

There was a talking head with Hannah tonight where I felt like you could freeze at almost any point & get a picture better than the awful cameo

I def think VK looks heavier than Selina did. There was one point on an earlier visit to the office where Kelli (in a pretty milquetoast way) hinted at the weight issue. She told VK something along the lines of "there were comments about your tummy at auditions". The only way what Kitty said might be ok is if they left off a large part, and what she actually said was "someone might say you should give her a chance to get the weight off because she's been her since she was 10, but there's not enough time", or "she's had a chance already" etc. and they just edited it to be "you should give her a chance to get the weight off because she's been her since she was 10". I have my doubts. I've never been very bothered with the whole Cassie thing; I rewatched her first season recently and didn't really see the "shoved down our throats" narrative. Certainly it was nothing like this.

Wow, I can’t believe they showed the whole cut in a preview. I don’t remember ever seeing that before. It was brutal. Kitty... there better be more to that discussion. Seems very out of character for her, & way puts me off.

Yeah these are not good. Madeline M & Rachel look ok, but they’re very photogenic I think. Hannah should sue somebody - yikes!

I feel like maybe I saw a couple of pictures of Bin looking almost that besotted with his boys. Nobody else is even close though.

Yeah Victoria isn’t looking great (for dcc). I have to think they edited Travis saying she was his favorite (in the contemporary piece), because I thought she looked good in that style. Her body not so much. Far better than mine, but I’m old & not trying to wear that uniform. She bugs me less than others, but I don’t think she should be there.

I was pretty pissed at hearing Kelli tell Marlena that she’d trll her right then & there is she thought there was a chance of M not making the team, knowing what ends up happening. Yeah, things change, & they do have to cut someone, but don’t say things you’re not sure you can hold yourself to.

Yeah I read it too, & it was appalling. They think intersectionality is evil, I guess? Seems like they don’t know what intersectionality is. It just means you can have more than one identity. I would think they’d like that. You know, like you can be both religiously intolerant and a racist ??

I don’t read too much into Christina with the kids. She did look preoccupied, & there were 2 other cheerleaders walking away that as far as you could tell didn’t even register the kids (rookies I think, but still). And it’s a really short clip. And there were 20 odd cheerleaders who were not even shown; for all I know they were all scowling at the kids. Christina at least smiled & didn’t walk away.
