  1. There's a plot line in the second season of "One Mississippi" that plays out pretty much as the blind item/Roseanne Barr describe in the Variety article. I feel like there's definitely some cognitive dissonance (on my part, and Adlon's) when watching "Better Things," especially when there's a scene when a male friend tries to kiss Sam, she shuts it down sternly and he continues to press her. He cares more about his dick than their friendship, and I feel like screaming because it was co-written by C.K. Come on!
  2. Re: Will Dave Hate This? Dave is on record as anti-reality show, so I feel like even putting in that type of show, even with an ancient Rome-premise, is a given. As Tara was describing the show, however, I was secretly hoping it was a faux reality show, a la "Kroll Show," because this basically sounds like "Roman Gigolo House."
  3. I would love to see Dill's reaction if he did offer to buy Hannah's baby, only find out that the father was not white.
  4. This is so, so sad to me. Beverly Hills, 90210's only Emmy nomination was in 1995 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series...Milton Berle.
  5. I nominate pretty much every male romantic love interest on "Gilmore Girls" (except Luke) because every single one of them (except Logan) had to be haphazardly written off the show because they were getting bigger roles on other shows. Dean was written out twice! And his final scene of the show (thanks to the "Gilmore Guys" podcast for reminding me) was a weird scene where he basically cursed Luke's relationship with Lorelai. Rory was there too (getting drunk on Miss Patty's Founder's Day Punch), and yet they never encountered each other? See also: Christopher, who came in and out of the series so randomly that he didn't come to Rory's high school graduation, but did make it to Emily and Richard's vow renewal.
  6. Mickey mentioned that she was cold the moment they walked outside her house, so they should have just gone back inside to get her a sweater or something. As soon as she walked out in that mirror ball nightie, coupled with Gus's emphasis on their destination's dress code, I knew exactly what was going to happen. It was Chekhov's sweater. Also, regarding ponzu sauce, if Gus were really the nice guy he thinks he is, he would have given Mickey the ponzu sauce without telling her that he didn't want the chicken. Gus is the kind of guy who does nice things to get something in return (cheating on Aria's test/expecting Susan Cheryl to read his script). So he ends up resenting people, even though they didn't ask for the "nice gesture" in the first place.
  7. Did they ever say how they intially "met" online? OKCupid? Facebook? Did Gabby create the Cameryn (ugh) profile before "meeting" Miranda? These are the questions that are really important, Nev and Max!!
  8. No, he's probably a terrible human being. Chris Harrison Says "No" to a Chubby Bachelor, Not Sure About Gay Bachelor. While I liked Harrison's willingness to criticize Juan Pablo, I also felt like his attitude in his interview with Litman was rather paternalistic. Like he's going to put those guys in their place when they mistreat a lady or that he has to protect the girls. But I guess that's just reinforcing the very rigid gender and social roles of the show.
  9. Which makes you dislike Juan Pablo more? "More pervert" or using his daughter to make Clare feel guilty for coming to his room and initiating ocean sex? It's kind of a toss-up for me.
  10. I can't with Shoshana this season. It makes no sense that they invited her to the beach house. She was Jessa's default roommate because they're cousins (right?) and Marnie's default roommate when she and Hannah "broke up" the first time. It always felt like they invited her along the first season because they felt sorry for her or obligated to include her with Jessa, and maybe along the way they actually became friends? But not really, because she obviously hates all of them. Not that the girls aren't hateable, I just don't see why Shosh would be so angry with them. UNLESS she found out that Marnie was sleeping with Ray, which would have made sense. But she didn't. So...why? I think I would like this show more if it was called Jessa & Marnie, and was basically a reboot of Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23.
