  2. Respectfully, I'm not sure why you put the list of shows under spoiler tags. I think a regular quote would've been fine. I'm glad Hollywood Game Night got renewed, but it seems to me like NBC keeps renewing it without airing it. I hardly ever see it on the NBC schedule anymore (or I keep missing it); also it seems like it had a seriously short run on GSN (Game Show Network)--a "now you see it, now you don't" type run--when it was on there awhile back.

  4. Be prepared to eat it outside. Or maybe use a lot of air freshener afterwards. The smell lingers & it's not pretty. The only thing worse might be that "corpse flower" that only opens once a year (but I've never smelled that yet, so I have no idea). My family spent the winter after 9/11 as Snowbirds in Florida (the NW panhandle area--the area around Destin, Santa Rosa Beach, Panama City, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, et al); my dad (born in the Philippines) found out they carried durian at the local Publix grocery store & he started bringing them home. Having previous experience with durian, my mom & I evicted him to the patio to eat it or do anything else which would kick up the smell, like cut it, whenever we knew he was going to get 1 (which he did more than once, after he knew they were there). That was our compromise; he could get & eat durian, but he had to do anything that would make it really smelly outside. It worked & it kept at least most of the smell outside the house. So, if you live with anyone who isn't partial to durian you might wanna prepare yourself to, sort of, go into isolation to eat it.
  5. It hasn't. There's, like, 11 shows (I think) that CBS hasn't renewed/officially canceled yet (the un-canceled are low-rated shows that have run all the ordered eps, & aren't on the schedule right now, but have yet to either be renewed, by some miracle, or have their likely cancellations officially announced). I couldn't remember all of them. On the comedy side, I think Life in Pieces is another of the 11, or however many it is, shows CBS still has to officially cancel or renew.
  6. It's definitely happened, & to a whole boatload (OK only about 11, really) of other CBS shows, as well, including Lenkov's MacGyver reboot which got a third season. The renewals were announced on Wednesday, April 18th. As the article states, there are still a few veteran series whose fates haven't been determined yet (Criminal Minds & Code Black, which just started airing their S3, among them). We also don't know yet if Lenkov's Magnum P.I. reboot got picked up or not--they should finish announcing the fates of the remaining older shows soon; then they'll get to announcing the first-year shows. According to this, CBS' Upfront presentation, where they'll present their fall schedule to their advertisers (& I think representatives from their local affiliates) is scheduled for 4PM Eastern Time, Wednesday, May 16th, at Carnegie Hall in NYC. That's, like, Wednesday of next week (& 2 days before the H50 season 8 finale airs), so we should hear something soon about the fates of the remaining old shows on CBS as well as which new show pilots got picked up.
  7. The last belt color/level I could find for Alex was a blue belt with 4 stripes, which he earned approximately 2-3 years ago (2015 or 2016, according to most sources). I don't know how far below Scott's black belt that would be though.
  8. You're right. I did confuse Matthew & Joey, as far as which 1 played Aaron Wright on H50 earlier this season. Apologies. Joey did play Aaron Wright, the computer hacker brother of fellow computer hacker Ian Wright (a 2-episode recurring villain character in S4 played by 1 of the 3 Jonas brothers, either Joe or Nick... there's also Kevin, who I know wasn't on H50)--but since I screwed up the Lawrence brothers, as to who played Ian's equally slimy brother, Aaron, I'm not even gonna try to say which Jonas brother (Joe, Nick or Kevin) played Ian. But I did correctly say how many Lawrence brothers there are. I said: Maybe I wrote it weird. But I said--& know--there are 3 acting Lawrence brothers total (Joey, Matthew, & Andrew), which I think I also said/proved I know in the first paragraph above. And I said 2 of them--Andrew & Matthew (but I meant Joey)--acted in H50: Andrew, who's recurred since either S6 or S7 as Danny's nephew, Eric "E-Train" Russo, a former screw up who became an HPD Forensic/Crime Lab Technician after being sent to Hawaii, to be straightened out by his Uncle Danny, & following Danny & McGarrett around on a case & discovering he liked, & was good at, finding clues to help the case. Like on the case Five-0 worked on when the Eric character was introduced, which had to do with the murder of a college professor, I think; Eric noticed a bottle or can of pop, at some point, then realized somebody could've (& did) fix it so test answers, or something, were hidden among/in place of all the nutritional info & the usual stuff that comes printed on a bottle/can of pop. And he told Steve & Danny, which helped them with the case. Although there are still some occasions when Eric reverts to his original form & says the wrong thing about something or someone; like he'll make a misogynistic comment about women, in front of a woman, like Kono). Then there's also the previously mentioned Joey (who I called Matthew), who played the equally slimy, computer hacking, character of the brother to the Jonas brother's character. I think he was supposed to have sort of been out for revenge over his brother's death (although Wo Fat killed Ian, not Five-0, though I don't think they ever explained why Wo Fat killed Ian). I may have been wrong about Matthew Lawrence playing Aaron Wright earlier this season, but I realized that the Matthew Lawrence/Cheryl Burke couple does have a bit of a connection to H50 after all, through Cheryl. Back in Spring 2015, while Cheryl Burke was on a break from DWTS, she & Alan Ritchson (who played--in 1 episode--Freddie Hart, Steve's BFF & SEAL team member who was killed on a secret mission inside North Korea, which Steve selected him for, to try & locate the Hesse brothers) were among the celebrities in an NBC primetime variety/game/reality show, I Can Do That, which was apparently based on an Israeli TV show, & the 5-6 celebs in the show (the same celebs were on each week) apparently were tasked with learning how to do something by the next week's show & performing that task on the next week's show. If you did the task, or whatever, successfully, you got a certain number of points; the celeb with the most points accumulated during the season was declared the overall winner, whatever that meant (I think the celebs were competing for charity, but I can't remember now, since it's 3 years later).
  9. From ET Online: Dancing with the Stars' Cheryl Burke Engaged to Actor Matthew Lawrence on Her Birthday
  10. From ET Online: Dancing with the Stars' Cheryl Burke Engaged to Actor Matthew Lawrence on Her Birthday Matthew played the recurring character of computer hacker Aaron Wright, who went up against Five-0 early in the still current S8 by doing things like letting another recurring character, arsonist Jason Duclair, out of prison by using his knowledge of computers. Aaron is/was the brother of fellow computer hacker Ian Wright (Joe Jonas), a teenager who got entangled with Five-0 in S4 when McGarrett & Grover went to serve him with a warrant related to 1 or more unpaid traffic tickets, then he escaped from police/Five-0 custody to parts unknown for awhile; then he returned in the S4 Finale & kidnaped Grover's daughter, to force Grover's participation in a theft involving a great deal of money because of Grover helping Steve with the ill-fated serving of the unpaid traffic tickets warrant against him. Grover's daughter was released from Ian's clutches after then-recurring master criminal Wo Fat arrived on the scene, somehow, & shot Ian to death. Also, Matthew Lawrence is 1 of the 2 (of 3 total) acting Lawrence brothers who appeared on H50 in recurring roles this season; brother Andrew Lawrence plays HPD forensic crime lab technician, & Danny's formerly slacker (but still with a tendency to know the wrong time to say the wrong things), nephew, Eric "E-Train" Russo. Eric got on the "straight & narrow", & became interested in forensic science/crime lab work, after being sent to Hawaii to spend time with his Uncle Danny & Danny's partner, Steve McGarrett, because Eric's mom couldn't deal with his shenanigans anymore. Matthew's played Eric, as a recurring character, since either S6 or S7, I think.
  11. Mike looks like he's put on some weight. I think so, anyway. I liked that he & Verne Troyer seem to have had a good relationship though.
  12. It also wasn't Adam's construction site, per se. I think it was being run by 1 or more guys who Adam worked, & became friends with, when being a construction worker was the best job he could find, considering he was a parolee from Hālawa; although he got out early because he did everything he could to help Five-0 track down the seriously dangerous cons who escaped, & got stuck taking Adam with, when a fire, or chemical spill, or something was made to happen (I think it was by a big bad on the outside at the time) & all the bad guys, plus Adam, had to be relocated to another facility because of the damage. As I remember also, Adam's original construction boss was busted, & Adam was fired when he found what turned out to be human remains while he was digging up the current construction site. Adam had Jerry examine the piece of bone he found, which led to Adam confronting his site boss/the head of construction, who told Adam to leave it alone, before he gave the bone to Jerry; & then he fired Adam when Kono had the construction site shutdown, & arrested at least the guy who was Adam's boss for a whole bunch of things, including desecrating a heiau, as I remember--anyway, the construction site was on land it shouldn't have been, for a lot of reasons, & the boss/foreman didn't care, & at least some of the things he didn't care about were illegal.
  13. Unfortunately that can't happen, right now, unless they decide to reboot Leverage, or somebody writes a fanfic with that crossover & plot. Leverage ran from December 8, 2004 to Christmas Day (December 25th), 2012, when the series finale aired.
  14. Back when Ellie Clayton (I think that's right)--the Aussie prosecuting attorney who met Steve while they were visiting Steve's dad's grave at the same time, & who knew John McGarrett before his death because he was trying to solve the murder of Ellie's father, which happened in what appeared to be a "normal" robbery (& of course wasn't) at the bar he owned while Ellie was in, like, somewhere between Jr High/Middle School & some point in High School--was a recurring character on the show, I remember Ellie was trying to help get a warrant (subpoena?) for someone, because Steve had asked her to (but I don't remember who the warrant [subpoena?] was for, or why it was needed). In the end, she couldn't get the warrant (subpoena?) because, as I remember, there wasn't enough probable cause to grant it. So it's not like they haven't actually tried to get warrants (subpoenas?) when necessary. To me, it's kinda more like the show prefers not to actually show (get bogged down in?) the "minutiae", the "boring part" of that, or other necessary paperwork, & just focus on the case, planting (if you will) the idea that yes, they did follow proper procedure even though we didn't see it.
  15. The reason Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) may only be heard about/from, but not seen the rest of this season (& why he also wasn't in, like, the first 7 eps this season) is because he's also 1 of the stars of Salvation, that sci-fi/fantasy series about a meteor headed for a likely apocalyptic collision with Earth, that Lenkov & some of his colleagues from H50 & MacGyver created & sold to CBS last season, which aired last summer. Despite crappy ratings (expectations must not be as high with the summer-only series), that show got renewed for a 2nd season & Ian's still in it (he plays some kind of Secretary or Undersecretary in the US government, who may or may not know more about the whole pending meteor disaster than he says he does, & I think his character there was also trying to figure out a way to save at least some people). Anyway, because Salvation airs in the summer it has to start filming eps when the fall/winter/spring series are still airing & filming (&, conversely, it's wrapping up filming--or it was this past summer--when at least the shows scheduled for the fall [& maybe the winter] were starting their filming), which is why we didn't physically see Adam until episode 807; Ian was filming the end of the summer show's season until that H50 ep was ready to go. He's probably about to start work, right now, on Salvation S2.

  18. Yeah. He/his company also produced Benson, that I can remember, which I probably also could've mentioned in the obit link; but at the time I was writing it seemed as if there were way more shows produced by him/his company to mention besides Benson, & I thought I was running out of room in the link. I also didn't wanna make it seem like I was listing all of his (best-known) producer credits, so I stopped before Benson, even though I actually grew up watching at least most of the shows he (& his partners) produced, starting with The Partridge Family & going all the way at least through Soap & Benson (the latter was a spinoff of the former, if nobody else remembers), & The Golden Girls & Empty Nest (again, if nobody remembers, the latter show was a spinoff of the former).
  19. OK it's splitting hairs, but Spike is actually Alex's stepson. Alex's wife, Malia, is his mother, & her ex-husband, Australian Professional Surfer Luke Stedman, is Spike's father. Alex's (biological) sons are Saxon (who is/is bordering on being an adult here in the US, if not also in his [& Alex's] native Australia), & Lion, who's about 2-3 years younger than Spike, is Alex's son with his wife, Malia (though they married about 18 months after Lion was born).
  20. From USA Today: TV Producer Paul Junger Witt, Best Known for The Partridge Family (and Later, with Producing Partners Tony Thomas [Danny's Son] and Susan Harris [Witt's Real-Life Wife]), Soap, Empty Nest and The Golden Girls (Among Others) Dead of Cancer at Age 77
  21. Update on Kym & Robert Herjavec's twins Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec Reveal Twins' Names The boy is named Hudson Robert (Robert's for his father); the girl is named Haven Mae (Mae is for Kym's Grandmother). Still no info on birth order, weight or length (& whatever else usually gets announced that I've forgotten).
  22. From People: Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec Welcome Twins Kym & Robert's twins were born yesterday, March 23, 2018 at 7:44 & 7:45AM (presumably California Time), respectively. They were expecting boy/girl, or girl/boy (whichever order you wanna put it in) twins. But the information released, at least so far, doesn't indicate the order of birth (girl/boy or boy/girl), the names, or the weights & lengths of the babies (among other things). But they do share their birthday with the newest baby Prince of Cambridge, youngest child & second son of Britain's Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, & his wife, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge. So I guess that's something. Another thing I've been meaning to mention is, I'm not sure why, but Robert (& another lady) is in a tourism-type ad for a nearby city to my hometown... which runs on at least the local station I've seen it on, if not the other TV stations in the area, because that city is in our viewing area. I can't think of any connections between Robert & the city; he just introduces himself using his name, without his connections to Shark Tank or DWTS &, with the lady, starts talking about different things that visitors to that town would enjoy. I just did some Googling & I didn't come up with the thing that's running on our local TV, but I did come up with a trailer for the source material it originated from. It turns out Robert & the Deluxe Corporation (looks like the same company which prints the checks many people & businesses use) have been doing a web series on "the small business revolution" in smaller cities. the first season, as I said, they filmed in a smaller town near us, and in our viewing area.
