I don't really understand that. Chrissy is an actress and she is obligated to do whatever is asked from her in the show. It's her job and she knows very well that she was cast in the show BECAUSE she is that obese. They didn't want just a chubby actress, they wanted someone as obese as Chrissy because they wanted to create drama around her and the storyline "it's always about the weight". After all, we have no idea of Chrissy's real life issues. What she shows about herself is that she has a succesful acting and singing career, she has had guys who loved her - love her, she is rich, she doesn't mind her weight.

I guess she is living somewhere in the universe with Kate's dog 🐶

But Rebecca AND Miguel AND/OR a nanny?
-
Maybe this only happens in my country but many grandparents (who are not really old or with a very damaged health) would love to help raise their grandkids. What else is better for Rebecca especially knowing that her days are numbered than be close to her grandchildren? Many grandparents in my country do help raise the grandkids that's why I don't find it that weird but maybe in the US this is not something people use to do.

I'm just saying Kate has options once she gets divorced. She and the kids won't find themselves starving or being homeless. This was a reply to someone saying that Kate should consider it very carefully if she wants to leave Toby because their lives (hers and the kids') would be terrible and I said that, no it wouldn't be terrible. She has a support system around her even for a couple of years until things get better with covid and her job and the kids go to school and so on.
-
Doesn't the same go for Toby? I think that Kate has enough people and financial sources to help her live her life as divorced just fine. Kevin could pay a full time nanny for her. Rebecca and Miguel could sell their house and go live with her to help her both with the kids and financially at least until the house Kevin is building for them is ready. She will be getting money from Toby for the kids. She is not a woman who has nowhere to turn to. She tried for the relationship and it failed. She is not the first nor the last one to get a divorce.

Eh I still don't find anyone to root for. I think the tribes of six has ruined this for me because it is pure luck which side someone finds themselves at. If there are more young or more older people, if they vibe good with one or more people, if they have something in common with other people etc. Also I have no idea who Jenny was, had they shown any information about her? At least Marya had a segment telling her story last week.

Same goes for Toby though right? Better late than never :P

I'm afraid though that Kate's only way to stand on her own feet and become a person who can survive and be happy is only by being single for some time. I think that Toby just replaced her dad being her carrier in life, the person who fulfills her every wish, who has to be careful how to talk to her not to hurt her feelings, who has to support her. If Kate moves to SF with Toby and the kids, she will become that person again who is dependent on Toby for her happiness. I think Kate finally realized that she was doing it all wrong all along; she had to be happy by herself first in order to be happy with another person. And maybe this is the work she will do with herself in the following 4-5 years until she marries Mean Jerk.

Thank you. :)

In the contrary, I think the show has shown more than enough that Kate is like this because she was her father's favorite and she was used to get whatever she liked from him and when she lost him she spent her whole life doing the exact same thing with other people who were not taking this until she found Toby. The scene at the pool when Jack tells her to let go and she says "why would I?" is really telling. She had no reason to let go and take her life into her own hands because she knew her dad would guide her and protect her. That's why she was the most "lost" of the three when their dad died. That's why she told her brothers that she sees nothing looking at her future; because she was expecting Jack to show her what her future should be and she never knew how to decide and act by herself. Walking that hill was the first time she did exactly that.

Maybe Rebecca and Miguel move in with Kate and the babies so they have three salaries and they help with the kids while Kate is at work. This sounds like a good solution.

I'm wondering, what would people say if Randall was in Toby's place and he was the one behaving like this to Beth? Would people not be mad at Randall and try to encourage Beth not to take his shit and take her life in her own hands? I think some people just dislike Kate because they have an idea in their head that her being that fat and actually not skilled with anything would mean she doesn't get to have a fit, wealthy husband who loves her that much and is willing to work long hours to keep her happy. I think some poster even said it earlier, such obese women don't get to have a fit, handsome husband at home or something. The only thing I find unrealistic with Kate is her getting pregnant.

Do we have to like every character in a show? They are just people with flaw like all of us and I find that interesting. :)

Fun fact about myself when I was a little girl that I learnt like a year ago (I'm 40); I was such an introvert since I was a baby (but back then people didn't know the term "introvert", all kids were supposed to be sociable and play with other kids and never want to be alone). So when I went to the kindergarden, I sat in the manager's office for a MONTH because I didn't want to go play with the other kids and they just let me be. One day there was a little girl who had a toy that I found interested and I just followed her and that's how I got to go play with the other kids. :P

So I loved this episode. I even tolerated seeing Jack because I really wanted to know the whole story. In many ways I see myself in Kate but thank God I have a husband who would actually discuss with me something that huge as a job offer or buying a house or moving. The episode made me see clearly both Toby's and Kate's sides. It's as simple as "they grew out of each other". They were together when both were co-miserating but now that they feel strong in who they are and what they want to achieve, they realize their love is not strong enough to sacrifice these needs in order to be together. And the correct thing to do is divorce and create a healthy environment for their kids to accept that divorce. This episode was everything I am looking for in a show, a movie, whatever; I love to see couples trying to work things out.

The idea that the ring Kevin is wearing is Kate's who is then dead crossed my mind. In general I think that someone will be dead by then. The show that kills the main star in season 1 must kill someone in the end too.

Wasn't any of this mentioned in interviews with Jeff this week? This would be the first thing I'd ask if I was interviewing him.

Children who are denied this food while they are young, they will get crazy with it when they grow up and they can buy these themselves so I don't agree with such strict rules. Maybe once every 2 weeks or something parents should allow them something that is not that healthy. Or maybe they can make them themselves at home.

No problem, I don't want to sound like I'm correcting you, just saying this as a reminder :)

I remember when Xander found the same idol we were saying that production will in some way make him say the phrase at the immunity challenge. If Mike has the choice to not activate the idol, then there is no disadvantage. He will just keep it until he hears the other two phrases and then he has an idol and he hasn't lost his vote which doesn't make sense. Maybe he did say the phrase at the IC but they didn't show it since they didn't have to go to tribal and we will see it next week as a flashback.
-
Mike's parchment said, you must read the secret phrase at the next immunity challenge. I have no idea how they let him not say it. Something is missing here.

Just wanted to say that Jess goes by the pronouns they-them;) Josh is such a kind soul, he is my winner pick!

I went back and searched for the rules of the Season 41 3-way idol and I found this: Also I screenshoted the rules when Xander found it and yead, it says "You must say the phases in front of the other players"
