Del Toro is not directing these episodes (he only did the pilot, I believe), but he's hands on with all the visual effects/makeup/gore. That reminds me, I need to put something in the "Strain in the Media" thread. Follow me there!

Yeah, the sex in the ex's bed was beyond tacky. Would have been much better if the ex-wife had come in while they were doing it as a vampire and attached them both.

Has it been established that Eph is officially divorced? Because if so, then Nora is no longer a mistress and Eph's not cheating on anyone (at least not anymore).

On the one hand, I think the explosion probably got Hassan. On the other hand, since the vamps weren't targeting him, it's possible whichever ones were left after the explosion just left him alone if he survived that. Who knows if we'll see him again with this crazy show.

It took me until now to even notice that in the photo for my write-up of this episode, Ephraim's wig looks like a giant spider on his head. He's got Spider-Wig!

Yeah, I really liked her in her very short amount of time on the show. She's got common sense, at least.

If it's not What The Redfern Grows, then I don't know who it's supposed to be, really. Wouldn't make sense if it's a random vampire we haven't seen before and all the ones who've turned wouldn't have been in that freezer. I guess chalk it up to a continuity error?

I thought they incinerated the body too unless Hobbit Sean lied about taking care of that and kept the body instead. Was the point of putting the body in the water to get it in the water supply? That made no sense to me at all.

Maybe the stuff they've done since "Clone High" hasn't been as pure, but I still thought "LEGO Movie," "Jump Street," etc. were pretty freakin' hysterical and it sounds like they're still game for it. Plus Will Forte kinda blew up since then. TOTALLY VIABLE, GET BILL LAWRENCE ON THE HORN TOO.

I feel like I have no sense of why Eichorst & Co. need lackeys to drag bodies around and do shipping errands. Can't they just do that stuff themselves at night? Why involve humans at all?

He was the medical examiner from the pilot, the one who was attacked by the plane people.

Only one news outlet is reporting this and they're basing it on filming in Toronto (which could just be they're securing production locations/crew IN CASE it gets renewed). No reason to believe it won't come back given the strong ratings, but it's not official yet as far as I can tell.

One conceit of the show is that The Master's minions have hired a hacker to cripple major communications networks. So Eph wouldn't easily be able to post the video to YouTube, presumably, and people wouldn't be able to watch it, probably. I think that would cause more panic than the vampires.
