  1. Agree. He seemed a little creepy to me. And maybe a little fake. He seemed a little fixated on having "little blonde babies" and liked that she was "a smoking hot blonde." I mean, he is blonde, so I get maybe he likes his own kind but still, kinda creepy. I liked the other guy last week better.
  2. OK. I am not sure if I was really tired last night or the show was really boring (probably both) but I fell asleep and missed most of it. It seems that Christina had her heart set on meeting her husband to be at the altar but her parents want her to meet him first? Why on earth would she want to meet him at the altar? Is she crazy? How is that a romantic fantasy? We have all seen from Married at First Sight that this can be a very stressful scenario.
  3. I am sure I heard her say that. I would have to watch the whole show over again to be absolutely positive though, and not going to do that. I did find some comments on the TLC Facebook page and somebody mentioned it there too. She most definitely said something about them meeting at the reunion.
  4. No she definitely said they had reconnected at a High School reunion they all were at. What wasn't clear was if the parents were still married at the time.
  5. I read somewhere (forget where) that her mother was angry at people on social media who commented on it and replied that it had something to do with her having been born premature and having serious medical issues as a baby - I think brain surgery or something. I can't find the article where I read this.
  6. I get the feeling he backed out so he is not really featured. He was not in any of the commercials either.
  7. I was surprised that the mother of blonde woman (sorry don't remember anyone's name) was actually her stepmother. I thought she looked exactly like her. I wonder if the mother looks the same and that was the dad's "type." I read somewhere that her actual mom did not want to be involved in the show. Wonder why, ha ha. I also thought the stepmother to be of the guy also looked more like him than his actual mother did. In fact, while watching the endless commercials that have been playing for weeks promoting this show, I thought that both of these people looked so much like their mothers! They are both very attractive and I don't understand why they would need to sign up for something like this. The third family (I think they are Filipino) I was very amused when I saw the "Welcome to Valley Cottage" sign since this is (sort of) my home town (I live one town over but we share a school system). It is a very small community and everyone seems to know each other, but I hadn't heard about this show filming nor do I know them. In the end, I found the show a little boring. Not sure if I will stick with it, but I may check it out again.
  8. I remember something the "experts" had said in the Matchmaking special about David and Ashley both having strong Christian values, so definitely not Jewish. Sam had mentioned her grandparents wanted her to find a nice Jewish guy and then just ANY guy. I don't find either David or Neil particularly attractive although they are perfectly fine looking, but I am not signing up for a reality show to get married to a complete stranger sight unseen. The "experts" really should pay attention (or ask about if they didn't) what physical type the applicants find attractive, because like it or not physical attraction is important.
  9. I initially found him pretty unattractive and the beard really skeeved me out. When I look at him closely his features are actually not unattractive, but there is still something very off putting about him.
  10. Yes - please don't post spoilers here! Even if they are hidden! I couldn't resist and peeked.
  11. I am so sick of seeing these mental cases and fame whores seeking extreme plastic surgery! I want real people that are truly botched that can be helped. There's at least one of these crazies in each episode and 99% they don't help them (except for the woman with the ginormous boobs that came back a second time and got a facelift and nose job). I especially hate when they bring the crazies back again - like the woman with the ginormous boobs and that horrible Ken doll guy that they brought back as an "advisor" and that guy that wanted to look like Superman. They make the show trashy and I hate them.
  12. I haven't been watching this show at all but I just saw an episode last night and I think it was this one, so I am commenting here. Carmen keeps saying that her husband is straight and that any guy involved with her would be straight because she is a woman. Normally, I would get this with a transgender woman (although there is a little gray area since she hasn't had the operation), but her husband was with her back when she was still identifying as a gay man. I Googled her and there are photos of them together as two men. So obviously he was a gay man at one point. Maybe he is identifying as straight now since she has transitioned to a woman, but he must be at least bi.
  13. My older son is the spitting image of my late Grandmother. When he was a baby nobody could figure out who he looked like because he looks nothing like either me or my husband. Our younger son is a cross between the two of us. Genetics are funny.
  14. I think she is gorgeous and has a fabulous body. I am also thin (somewhat - I was thinner in my 20s before kids) and small chested and I could not pull that bathing suit off. I think she did. Her personality is another thing, but very typical Long Island JAP diva. PS I am also Jewish and from New York so I know this type all too well!
  15. I am from New York and I would say they are from Long Island.
  16. I noticed that the girlfriend was always sitting down in a chair while all the action was going on and in one shot there was a middle aged man with a similar body type and lazy body language sitting next to her. Maybe her father? For some reason never interviewed or perhaps he was but it was not included?
  17. Watched this one last night too. I had seen it before too but couldn't resist watching it again. Another pair of mentally disabled chemically impaired toothless misfits.
  18. OMG- i watched this episode too last night and I came here hoping someone else had. Those poor cats and that poor, poor baby. I hope they took the baby away too. What pathetic lowlifes that father and and son were. And what was up with the son anyway? He seemed developmentally disabled. Maybe fetal alcohol syndrome ? Very odd. The girlfriend seemed pretty simple too. Her step mother seemed normal. So sad and pathetic.
  19. I think the whole phone call was a set up. They wanted her to confess her feelings to someone other than the camera, so they had the friend call. I think the whole conversation was planned ahead of time. And she is not from Prague, by the way - she is from Russia. She was studying in Prague. It seems like her family is not really in the picture.
  20. He definitely said 9 out of 10 (90%). If you read the Previously TV recap of the Episode which is linked up above somewhere (quite funny and worth a read) this is confirmed. I would have a problem with this too if I were Melanie!
  21. No it was called "A Vow of Silence" http://www.hlntv.com/shows/forensic-files-digital-details/articles/2015/07/31/forensic-files-episode-128-a-vow-of-silence-evidence-photos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnBCDoeG8oI If you don't want to click on the link above - read the summary: In this episode of Forensic Files -- "A Vow of Silence" -- a young woman from the Philippines who had been living in Arlington, Texas, with her husband and son disappears. Emelita Villa came to Arlington in 1987 from her home country of the Philippines as an impoverished 18-year-old after Jack Reeves -- a man almost 30 years her senior -- saw her in a mail-order-bride magazine and chose her to be his fourth wife. Six and a half years later, in October of 1994, she disappeared. During their investigation, detectives discovered that the deaths of both Reeve's second and third wives were shrouded in mystery. Is Jack Reeves a murderer three times over, or is someone else to blame for the death of Emelita Villa
  22. Mail order brides have been around for a while. My son had a preschool classmate and the mom was very young, fashionably dressed and beautiful and from Russia. The dad was much older and very nerdy and unattractive - it was so obvious what was going on there. Interestingly, I was just watching Forensic Files the other night and there was an episode about a mail order bride that had gone missing and turned up murdered by the husband. She was from the same town in the Phillipines as Nikki and her predecessor. In those days, they were from mail order catalogues, now they have internet "dating" sites.
  23. She DID say she hadn't had the surgery yet but she was planning to. She was Pre-op. The OP was saying trans women are women regardless of genitalia I assume.
