  1. As someone who has worked in the wine business, if Sonja were actually legit, this would have been an incredibly easy answer to give.
  2. I think the reason Cary looks a little off in the la facce is because her neck is almost nonexistent. At first I thought she was tensing her shoulders a lot or had terrible posture, but no - she has no neck. She looks like when I would pull the heads off my Barbies and then jam them back on (I'm not a serial killer now, promise). She's obviously still traditionally gorgeous, but I agree the creep factor outweighs everything else with her and pseudo-Dubrow.
  3. This coming from someone we recently saw microwave a hot dog for breakfast.
  4. Did T-Rav actually say to that poor child on the street by way of a pick-up line, "Have you heard of the grunge movement?"
  5. Oooh, thank you. I love it when Richard dips back into the Housewives.
  6. Are we overthinking the John and Dorinda relationship? Seems to me, it's just 99% about doing drugs.
  7. I say this as one of the few who can't stand LVP: Lisa Rinna - you can't just be a raging asshole and then say you own it as if that absolves you from your raging asshole behavior and all of its fallout. (I still like Rinna as a show character but as a human she super messy.)
  8. I love this about Barb so much. You can also substitute that with "Ya know, Janelle..." as a nice abrupt non sequitur into Babs having totally lost her temper.
  9. I've been watching old eps of RHONY on Hulu, and Scary Island still holds up as the pinnacle of everything housewives.
  10. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there's a professional hairdresser behind the Lisa Rinna 'do. But...
  11. I feel like by the end of every franchise, I'm always just wishing for the next. But RHoNY is my favorite. Tied with OC. (Sentimental reasons.)
  12. Co-signed as someone who works in comparative effectiveness research for chronic disease.
  13. Lisa Rinna is the perfect combination of controlled s*** for the housewives franchise. And I still don't know if that makes me like her or not.
  14. She's appallingly emotionally immature for a woman of her age, that's for sure. I do have an irrational soft spot for Kyle from time to time, tho.
  15. My take on that is that LVP had a feeling Rinna was going to spill the beans about LVP suggesting that she put the Munchausen's out into the atmosphere and could see that Eileen was already pushing back against LVP with the whole affair/apology debacle. So LVP needed to know that Eileen wasn't going to mount up against her with Rinna when the shit hit the fan. So to speak.
  16. I don't think it's a bad thing, per se. And I think Kyle said it best when when she told Taylor that Lisa preys on the weak. One can have plenty of light amusement with LVP -- and she can be a delight to watch onscreen. But show any sign of weakness or vulnerability, she'll pounce on it and play it off as concern. And if you try to stand up for yourself after the fact, she'll play the victim. That's the part of her that I find tedious to watch. If she were all pony and puppy capers, I'm sure I'd like her much more.
  17. My favorite book by my favorite author. They're all sad Isabels. And Kim is Sophie.
  18. I like this point, because what I see is that theoretically there may be something about Heather's personality that triggers something in Bethenny which reminds her of her mother or how her mother treated her, and she instantly has to shut that down for her own sanity because she obviously hasn't fully dealt with her mother issues. Neither Heather nor Bethenny is necessarily at fault, but Heather comes off looking worse, because she can't take a freakin' clue and act cool (not uncool). So it's obvious that Bethenny would therefore feel more relaxed and able to let her guard down (however unwittingly) when around Carole who is just the chillest of the chill. No judgement and even no hugs! Just a space to be and then quietly help her pull herself together with floor display $2 napkins. (I love Carole.)
  19. I'm so excited to see a Smash re-watch, I might just have to re-watch along. While Ivy is laughably the superior Marilyn (like, get far away from me with that wig, Karen Cartwright), the song I end up listening to the most from the Bombshell soundtrack is Cut, Print, Moving On. Weird. And while I remember loathing everything to do with Hit List, the songs have grown on me considerably in passing time. So much so that Broadway Here I Come might be my favorite song of the series? I dunno, I have complicated Smash feelings!
