Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
CalicoKitty replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
I doubt Joy understands germs and cleanliness. Her brothers were shown on TV cleaning the cat box with their bare hands. (This was the episode where Michelle stuffed new born kittens in a pitcher with a lid and said she learned to do that at the vet's office where she used to work in high school. Something about it keeps the kittens warm). -
I wonder what body part will be "severely" injured when she earns the invitation to the next cruise. She hasn't shown or posted about the ebike for a while. I wonder if she injured her shoulder falling off the bike. (I injured my shoulder slipping on a Tatter Tot in the school cafeteria. It was fun explaining that to Workers Comp. )

I know someone who has two sons. One of them has a neurological condition where he bounces his head on his pillow in order to go to sleep. Apparently it is a type of self-comforting. Anyway, it was loud enough to disturb the other kid's sleep. They could not share a room. My point to my original comment is that it is possible that there is a reason why they boys can't share a room. Or, it could just be something that the mother wants. Some house hunters demand that each kid has his own room because they never had their own room growing up. Each kid with a separate room is not the most out-there demand we have seen. (Think a room just for Barbie dolls)

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp

They flew with a baby that had an ear infection. They don't seem to take things in life too seriously. -
I just spoke to my brother. They were on the coast near Santa Cruz in California and had to come home early. When we spoke yesterday their power had been out for several hours, and they found out today that it won't be back on for at least two more days, so they went back home to the central valley. They can't avoid all the rain, but at least they have electricity. I hope everyone in California is staying safe and above water. My friends here just had to move into a hotel for a few days because a hose bib outside broke and flooded three bedrooms. They don't know when they can go back to their house. Winter weather can certainly be inconvenient at times.

I just hope Howard from the old boards doesn't come back. I never did understand some of the criticism. No one escaped having their posts edited in some way.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp

I am surprised at how much they enjoy their dance classes. What a difference from the way they both grew up. Both Joy and Austin really have a sense of enjoyment. It makes me happy to see that their life is not as austere as their childhoods. And they are taking their kids to the dentist. -
Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
CalicoKitty replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
Not only has Mando been added to their lineup, but she is rather explicit on where the guys can use it. With as much advertising as Lume has, they are apparently selling enough to pay for all the commercials. -
@Salacious Kitty How are you doing with the rain? My brother is on the coast near Santa Cruz and said they were hit pretty hard yesterday. Their power had been off for 4 hours when he texted last night. I don't know if it is back or not. Our weather forecast was for about 4 inches of snow, but it wasn't very accurate. We had over 10 inches with very strong winds. But our power stayed on. It is nice and sunny today.

Only if he was a pastor of the correct kind of church.

That's a good question. I am very surprised by the main stream, liturgical churches that use McArthur's materials for Bible study classes. Most people have no idea of his background or actual teachings in his daily life.

It depends on your type of allergy. Many people cannot tolerate gluten in the air. I avoid the bread aisle at the grocery store because the gluten in the air affects my breathing. I avoid products that contain gluten. FYI to anyone who eats gluten-free. McDonalds changed their recipe for french fries a couple of years ago. Their fries are now coated in a gluten-containing seasoning that makes them crispier. I found out the hard way the last time I went to McDonalds. I ended up in the Urgent Care needing an albuterol treatment.
