Alpha as as concept was ok.. It was just poorly directed. "First Person Shooter" should never have made it past the writers room, much less filmed. It was a piece of shit from the start. I am guessing it was a network executive that thought he was being "innovative" and forced a writer into the concept. There is no excuse for that .

The newest incarnation of XFiles was written by people in their 60s... New fangled smart phones, and YouTube....does not make it modern, it makes it outdated before the release date.... PALEEZE.

In "Never Again".....I think Scully's recklessness is a direct result of a devistating cancer diagnosis. Otherwise the whole episode is totally out of character. I see the flaw in my logic. I still think it's weirdly placed in the timeline.

A major problem with Never Again, is that it aired out of sequence. I can't get over the fact that the continuity is now so fucked up... It throws the entire show off balance.

I tend to rename episodes in my head ala "friends" episodes..". the One when Asford dies.... " The one when Luke gets a daughter.".The one where Jess gets a back door" etc

I am a Gilmore fan, and I know what happened in what season, but I am pretty clueless when people start abbreviating episode titles. I need to do some homework.

I can understand if there is a story line ( carefully planned out thesis), but I see it more as a Ret Con ( creating a back story, when a writer realized s/he fucked up).

well.. Filming for the season is wrapped...the show has not been canceled.... Yet. So we know Kerri and Mathew are in for at least another season. I have a question, even though the season is not over....why did Nina even have a storyline? Why are we supposed to care about ANY of the Jailed Russians? It doesn't seem to mesh with anything.... Other than fbi guy misses her.

From a story telling prospective,.. They should be killing off a character a week. I love this show... But it's not long for the graveyard... Wrap it up and kill everyone.

I didn't watch it, but during an XF rewatch a few months ago, I was so confused about Langly's blue face, that I looked it up on an episode guide and then promptly forgot about it, until you mentioned it here. There is an upcoming episode 9. 15 called "Jump the Shark" which assumes the viewer is also watching the other series at the same time. It is SO confusing, but not to be missed. Just try to fill in the blanks.
