  1. Seriously, why do they refuse to show more than 3 seconds of any dance without jerking camera angles and chopping up spots. That's a technique for when you have sloppy, bad dancers, not the best of the best. Also, soooooo many of the convos this season sound very stilted and pieced together, like they've edited multiple shots into one sentence to make it say something besides the original intention.
  2. Ashley is very pretty, and doesn't gush or show a lot of emotion. She looks like she tries to stay out of drama *cough Vivian cough* while she's mentally and physically processing corrections and trying not to look flustered or emotional. I get it. I've been there and done that. I also understand why some people mistake reservation as snooty and stuck up, especially when it comes from very pretty girls. Especially when more insecure, mean girls who want to single someone out to feel superior make the accusations. Ashley never came off as rude, snooty, aloof, uncaring or any of that. I like her and am glad she made it.
  3. Sadie has been a very, very sheltered, privileged child and teen. She is pretty, skinny, outgoing, articulate and gets a lot of praise for being a 'good girl' role model. This is probably the first time in her life she's received any criticism and hasn't been the very best at everything she's attempted. I think it's good for her to realize there's a great bit world out there, in which most don't care if she's a straight A, modest, homecoming queen, Duck Dynasty heiress. If someone outdances her, then the scores reflect it. I don't think anyone was harsh or hateful to her.
  4. That thought ran across my mind, too. Awkkwaaard! I didn't see any pixelization with costumes. I did think Alison was a man in drag for a few seconds when the dance started. Seriously I thought they were spoofing it like Jimmy Kimmel. Girl has some major muscles. Julianne somehow manages to look dowdy and matronly while wearing plunging necklines and body suits. She needs a new stylist. Plus that hair.......
  5. I think they're all fairly dismissive of Kathy. Teresa's over it, Melissa tries to flirt with Rosie (which is obnoxious), Jac counters all of Kathy's comments with "we did that 13 years ago," and Caroline thought she was above everyone. Haven't seen Kathy interact with Dina or any of the new ones.
  6. Bravo just needs to stop casting people with underage children. It's a double-edged sword in if we never saw Nick or the Giudice girls, people would say they're hiding them. When we do see them, it's exploiting them. I hate to comment negatively on children, who are not going to act naturally with cameras around. Strangers are in their house, they're being encouraged to act up in various ways, and their parents are weird (and we all probably have an innocent example of seeing our parents at work, with their friends, teaching Sunday school, being Scout leaders or whatever, and you go 'who in the heck are you and what did you do with my MOM? You're so different!"
  7. Melissa is irrelevant, because she's minding her Ps and Qs hoping they don't get investigated like Teresa. She called Teresa everything but her name at that horrific reunion, and I just can't believe anyone as narcissistic as Melissa would forgive and embrace Teresa, unless it somehow benefited Melissa. Melissa doesn't take a breath without thinking how it can benefit her image. I don't think Teresa resents Kathy, but I think she's annoyed and betrayed by her. I think Kathy resents Teresa for dethroning her as the family princess, and she's victimized and whined her way into trying to convince everyone that Teresa is the source of all of poor pitiful Kathy's problems. I don't think Gia was bratty or snooty at all, and I think it is vile to comment on a child's looks. All I saw was a 13 year old, who was totally embarrassed that the world knows she has PARENTS (like most 13 year old girls), but she was trying to make the best of a really negative situation. She probably doesn't want to move from her home, and doesn't quite grasp all of the legalities and financial considerations that go into buying and selling, but she does grasp that OMG my MOM is about to explain a BIDET on TV! People will know I pee! The Horrors!
  8. Are we back to the Season 1 "Thank you baby Jesus" innocent Melissa again? I just caaaaan't with her split personalities. Bull$h!t that someone who thrived on being sexy and sexual is suddenly Miss Pearl Clutching Houswife again.
  9. Sad, pathetic, and hilarious that Jac and Kathy reappear, just to talk about autism for a minute, about how they want to refocus their finances toward their son (because they're broke, being sued, and can't afford the house), and then SWF Jac talks incessantly about Teresa. OMG get out of Teresa's business! After the blast Jac pulled on Teresa, especially at the last reunion - the one where Jac actually showed up - there's no way in hell I'd befriend her again. Make peace and be polite, OK. Be friends and tell her any personal info, never. Get a life, Jacqueline, and stop obsessing about Teresa. BTW - Dear Andy Cohen, we've seen enough of Jac and Kathy for the rest of the season. No, make that rest of the entire run of the series, and any other spin offs.
  10. Well she did say her family, first, and I don't see a Mirror Ball Trophy on me shelf...... I think those accomplishments are pretty good. Her family came first, and her career has been in entertainment of one sort of the other, so I get it.
  11. Once again, this is entertainment. It's not fair. It doesn't have to be fair. The girl who worked for the dentist is good enough to make the team with or without his vote, but this isn't the Olympics, the military or a court of law. They can put whomever they damn well please on the team.
  12. The way the poem scene was editing, i feel like it was longer, and the cut a ton out.
  13. Mary looks like she could be America Ferrara's super hot sister. (Not that America isn't pretty. She's pretty, but Mary is super pretty.)
  14. I've liked Melissa the Mentor until the scene this episode. It was just so...........fake. Like she was as used car, snake oil salesman offering them some candy and to pet a puppy, so they'd be vulnerable and give her material to run back to Judy and Kelli to cackle over.
  15. Clothing size is so hard to determine, but that's the best example comparing size I could think of. BTW- I'm almost 5'9", and during my college dance years, my smallest size was about a 6-8 at about 130lbs. I looked the same size as my roommates, who all wore a 4 and were a good 15 lbs lighter. Size is deceiving and tricky. My point was, Britney is very thin for her build, but standing next to smaller framed, even less toned girls (not that Chandler is less toned), and amplified on a huge screen, you can look early Anna Nicole Smith sized.
  16. I like Breelan, too. There's something a little bit raw about her (maybe it is immaturity) that I appreciate, but I cannot believe they haven't called her out for not having washboard abs. She has a really similar body to mine (during my dance days), and it's really hard to keep a flat waist when that isn't your natural build. It takes no effort to keep slimmer legs and big boobs LOL. I hope Alexandra comes back and makes it. I'd really like to see them give her a pre-season evaluation, so if she hasn't improved in flexibility next year, she's saved the emotional mess and time of auditioning again. Standing next to super thinly build Chandler, I see why they're onto Britney Schramm about her size. Britney by herself looks way too thin and gaunt, but I think she's just a slightly bigger framed girl, and she looked large - not fat or untoned - but large next to Chandler. My guess would be if Chandler is a size 0-2, Britney is a 4-6. On a big screen, that reads as big when you're standing next to several really small framed girls of similar height. Vivian....no words. She used them all.
  17. 3. Jessa brags that she's spoiled because they live in a 15mi radius of 5 Goodwills? Well those biscuits and gravy aren't going to get up and cook themselves, now, are they?
  18. Very true, like a naive one who once told me he liked women who were natural....like Pamela Anderson.....until I explained bleach, extensions, implants, tanning beds, brow pencils, concealer, foundation, tons of lip gloss, false lashes, highlighter, mascara, etc. Jessa is very pretty, young and hasn't had surgery/botox/fillers, but she looks like she spends hours curling hair and slathering on makeup.
  19. What does Jessa bring to the table? The only thing a hormonal 18 year old, fundie or not, is thinking about = sex. I personally know scads of girls like Jessa who went to college for a M.R.S degree, and were dead set on being overtly chaste, but with the entire goal of their life to snag the first guy who walked past them with a Bible. It still shocks me that their whole being revolved around becoming a Christian Stay at Home Wife and Mother, but non of them had any inkling to learn to cook, clean, change diaper, budget, earn an income, etc. Know what? The fundie guys did not give a rat's arse if the women had any domestic skills or if they knew the Bible. They just wanted cute girls who were dangling a carrot and promising a lot of sex to their new lords and masters after marriage. They were all in for a major awakening as soon as the honeymoon was over, the bills start piling up, and nobody has job skills or an education. I actually commend Michelle for having the sense to teach her daughters valuable life skills like stretching dollars, cutting hair, cooking, etc., and to Anna for being so interested in child development and nutrition (even if her dumbass husband ignores it).
  20. Strike senior pics and proms. They don't go to normal school and graduate on normal schedules, and proms = nike clothes and dancing!
  21. In regards to the fan vote, they still limit the girls eligible for it to some really talented dances who kelli has said would've scored high enough to make it into camp anyway. They're not bumping anyone phenomenal. And yes, getting family and friends to vote is kind of the point...they're fans.
  22. Eh, I think they'd skew the fan vote if they felt like a horrible dancer won it. I think they brought her back to TC not because they liked her, but because they knew it would be a good storyline.
  23. More like they told her to stop staring at herself in the mirror so much, when she should be focusing on her dance.
  24. It's a dance costume. They both use the same supplier apparently. I don't think it was custom for either DCC or DWTS.
  25. I don't mind Melissa Mentor. I didn't like Melissa Cheerleader (she was always overacting and reminded me of a non-mean Chelsea), liked Melissa DWTS, and never watched the Bachelor.
