I was really surprised he sent the mornin’ Bailin packing. I thought she would make it far. I guess it goes to show there is a lot of interaction or lack of enough that can cool off feelings and doesn’t make it to the screen.

I agree with everyone who is saying alcohol has played a factor in Christina’s behavior. She’s a hot mess and her biggest mistake was her reaction when Zach confronted her. He clearly has NO patience for any kind of drama - had she maturely and calmly explained her side of things he may have kept her on. Maybe she has a drinking problem - or maybe she’s not used to drinking so much since she is a mom and she couldn’t handle the all day in the sun constant flow of libations. I’m sure she’s had a lot of entitlement and privilege in her life too so she’s not used to being challenged or told no.

Yeah she came off really harsh - I don’t know if she was leaning into the “bad bitch” part or if she felt above these ladies as someone who has experience in the franchise. But once again she missed the mark and came off super unflattering and even downright mean. ETA - glad Zach put an end to her hopes of joining the cast quickly. I like him so far. He seems kind, honest and mature but also no nonsense. I expect that by the end of the season he will annoy us all like every other participant tends to. Hoping not though!

I appreciated Zach’s response regarding Christina having a child. I think it’s better to be honest than pretend it’s not something that may be an issue. At least he didn’t fake an over enthusiastic reaction. I was married in my early 20s right out of college and divorced fairly quickly. No children resulted. I had several long term relationships in the ensuing years and wanted a family but by the time I got into my 30s it was difficult to find a guy that didn’t have children. While it wasn’t a deal breaker, and I dated some dads, it was an extra layer that wasn’t my first choice. I preferred starting a family with someone who hadn’t experienced that and wasn’t forever tied to an ex. Eventually I met my husband who I swore at the time was the only nice, normal, never married, no children single guy in his mid 30s left - he just happened to focus a lot of his adult life on his career. Anyway many failed fertility treatments later we adopted our daughter in 2021 and now I’m a mom of a toddler in my 40s and some days it’s exhausting- but also the best stage of my life so far ☺️ . Anyway all of that to say that if the person is right, children don’t need to be an automatic barrier (I was also engaged once to man with 2 children), but I get the hesitation and the honesty is refreshing. I also didn’t mind the “bad bitch” date. I actually thought it focused on positivity and confidence but maybe I need to rewatch that part. Taj is still a looney train wreck but I hope she finds her lid one day. Brianna is not cut out for this nor is she a good match for Zach. I liked her on ATFR but she’s definitely too insecure and immature at this stage in her life to be a part of this. Cat looks like she has hyperthyroidism and bulging eyes as a result. Think Wendy Williams - same affliction.

Christina looks just like her Aunt Barbara (famous Country singer). Christina looked so familiar to me and I couldn’t place it until I realized her last name was Mandrell.

I think Tyler is cute and I grew up going to his shore town. We also attended the same college - probably close to 20 years apart.. but anyway. He seems like a nice kid but he comes off as very immature to me. He seems very much like he’s a young guy who has watched the show and tries to emulate what he’s seen and heard others do. I can see him wearing on a girlfriend fast. Like too eager and too wide eyed and naive. I have no doubt that Brittany saw him in his natural environment and panicked in the same way Rachel did. And when she asks for space he’s still calling, and texting and messaging like all day. That would be a huge turn off to me. I don’t think Brittany needed to be so cold but I also read it as Tyler doesn’t take a hint. Or even something more direct. Remember when he was waxing poetic to Rachel as she’s literally sitting there looking horrified and in tears. And he kept droning on with a huge smile on his face and oblivious to Rachel’s discomfort. I’m betting that not reading a room is his MO and Brittany found that out real fast. He’s just a bit of a Delco meatball.

I could NOT stop laughing at the extended reaction from Romeo to Kira as she stood there wickedly smiling and knowing she backed him into a corner. His reactions afterwards and shudder were HILARIOUS. He seems like the type that is easily manipulated but slow to commit. He goes along with the flow and is maybe easy going luring his counterpart into thinking he’s more committed than he actually is. I think putting this show together is likely tricky because these people ALL know each other and hang out at Bachelor events, festivals and parties constantly. They probably have so much Ashley and Jared filler because they know they may not be able to set up connections and drama and have coherent story lines because they all already are friends. I think that’s why some are just exiting when their connection doesn’t work out because they’re like hey I’ve already hung out enough times with x people and wasn’t interested. And the others that are involved in love triangles are there for the vacation and booze and insta fame.

It seems that Teddi and Andrew had some interaction or communication before Paradise and there was build up there that maybe ended up being a let down for her. Maybe Andrew was nervous and not being himself and that led to awkwardness. I think Teddi was afraid of looking like or being edited as a villain for breaking his heart because he is so sweet. She probably didn’t want to compound looking bad by dating one of Andrew’s good friends right after dumping him. I think she panicked and is also hyper image conscious.

I definitely didn’t recognize Casey or Brittany? Hunter may be vaguely familiar. It’s so strange when they cast these nobodies when there are plenty of recognizable names that never show up. I know not everyone wants to do BiP but since I assume all of these people signed up for the recognition and influencer dollars it always surprises me that people turn it down.

It’s SO bizarre. Can you imagine if she was your physician? She’s part of Penn Medicine which is fairly prestigious (I live outside of Philadelphia and have used Penn for years). She also got her undergrad from Harvard and an MBA from Wharton! But she’s on the beach saying she would be a porn star and behaving like trash? So weird.

A total lunatic and an embarrassing drunken mess.

Lace will never learn and will always be a train wreck. Who could ever deal with her? She has an admitted problem with alcohol and every time she comes back she claims she worked on herself - but that all goes out the window with her first swallow of booze. She’s a mess.

Oh I have no doubt that Jesse knows all too well how difficult and high maintenance Rachel really is. He had to deal with her all season. And her men didn’t really get the full extent of her narcissistic traits because they had limited interaction with her. The cancelling dates and lectures over not looking at her (which LOL) on Gabby’s date would normally be major red flags to any guy. But in this world where you’re set up to compete, the guys natural instinct to emerge as victorious overrides rational decision making. No relationship after this experience was EVER going to work out for Rachel. This was the worst possible setup for someone as self centered as she clearly is. The lead is treated as a prize and she isn’t about to treat a partner as an equal after they “win” her. Anyway the franchise has an interest in making the lead the hero always - it’s key to their formula so that future contestants think they are also winning a prize.

Ok first of all I hated Tino all season and still do. He’s an inarticulate douchebag and I had no idea what Rachel ever saw in him. And cheating is selfish and demeaning and unacceptable. Much like Rachel’s treatment of her men all season. Rachel is a brat. She’s self centered - truly seems to think everything should revolve around her. Her parents raised her that way. I have no doubt she said high maintenance and bitchy things like I should just give you the ring back.. or why don’t you just become the next bachelor. The way Tino had to KEEP acknowledging just how hard Rachel had it as the lead and how much pressure she was under that she just needed to be coddled and sleep in her own bed and be left alone but also constantly bathed in attention and love. Someone like that will beat you down and Tino definitely looked completely beaten down. Rachel showed that she can’t handle even the slightest disappointment or adversity her entire season - when someone shows you who they are.. believe them. Tino probably kept having resentment toward her behavior, went out to blow off steam, got drunk and kissed another woman because he was being hateful in response to dealing with her. But he couldn’t say any of that obviously. So grovel it is. Zach has dork energy but he seems kind and I like him.

If her waist hadn’t looked so trim I was going with pregnant. Now that would be the most dramatic finale ever. I’m thinking it probably is fillers though. At 26… they will only distort her face as she does age.

In fairness to Gabby’s freak out - I mean Erich said he wants to date after they leave? Dating implies he’s not even going to delete his Tinder account.

I’ve thought about why it’s become such a sticking point in recent seasons. You would think contestants would be less worried about the engagement part nowadays seeing so many of the engagements fall through whereas in the beginning of the series it probably was seen as scarier or more of a big deal to go through with it. The proposal with the big flashy ring is an integral part of the show so no way they will change that. I think many get to the end and know that the real money and opportunities come with being the lead so they get as far as they can without “winning” and hoping they will get chosen next.

Wow Tino is such an elegant conversationalist.
-
Maybe unpopular opinion but I do think Gabby really loves Erich. I don’t think she is the type to get overly excitable. She’s probably had to hold her emotions inside a lot due to her mom’s emotional abuse. I think her getting emotional when doing that toast and talking with her Aunt are her signs that she really fell hard for Erich.

Rachel is such a bratty little daddy’s girl. Her daddy has treated her like a Disney princess her whole life and has never told her no - she doesn’t know how to consider anything but her own wants.

Oh and what was the deal with the dude in the audience with the obvious wig on??

Yessss! I said this last week. You know you are meeting these families. You know they are going to ask “why my son”. How do you not have better and more specific reasons than they have similar goals or they have a positive outlook on life! She seems polished in a lot of other ways but that and the constant sobbing really shows immaturity on her part.

Jacob definitely was given a master class in apologies imo. He took full accountability, apologized for what he did wrong, didn't make excuses or deflect, and vowed to do better in the future.
