  1. I have a hard time believing the sister's husband raped Pepper (because I have an extremely hard time believing that would be consensual.) I think the sister and her husband were just disgusting people - real American horrors. I thought Mare W. was awesome as usual. I don't think I've even seen her play someone so unlikeable. One of the things I loved about this episode was the music - it was very different from the other episodes. It had a melancholy, other-worldliness to it. I wish the season had more of these intense and well-written episodes where you learn a lot and time is not wasted on certain fake fortune tellers and rich serial killers.
  2. In agreement with those who have said the male characters are getting far more interesting. It's a sad thing when I am watching the show and thinking, "I wonder what RAY is up to these days." I'm thinking I'd rather be watching a show called BOYS with this male cast. Even when Adam Driver was playing his character as its most weird and creepy, STILL more compelling than any female character - with the exception of his character's sister.
  3. Sorry if someone posted this but from how she was describing her reading experience, I think Daisy might be dyslexic. There's no way someone from her class would have had access to special help - as some posted, she was likely working as a scullery maid by 12. When I've had enough of Mary's ennui and Edith's Edithness (when I do something stupid, I tell myself, "Stop Edithing!!!"), I like the stories of the young downstairs crew who have ambitions. Love that Jimmy works in the RItz and Mary can only fry and egg. Which of these two are better job candidates?
  4. Maybe because just about everyone I know has fertility problems and people of that world are obsessed with finding an heir AND the previous Mrs. Bates never got preggers (as far as we know, and for all we know, she baked it in a pie and served it to our Mr. Bates), I thought it was some awkward reference to the issue of children and why for them, it might be tricky, he being a felon and murderer, her being at least high counts of obstruction of justice/police investigation and at worse, accessory to manslaughter. Wow. It just occurred to me how perfect these two are for each other if only they could really tell each other anything. They are the Bonnie and Clyde of Downtown Abbey. Thomas' head would explode.
  5. Ha-ha! When I read this, I laughed so hard I fell off my couch! So true, though. I'm surprised Mary and Blake didn't screw in the mud with the pigs. That was the last moment of sexual chemistry she had since she kissed Matthew on the xmas episode. (I am not counting all those sad, chaste married wink-wink. nudge-nudge kisses and moments in their pukey marriage.) Maybe she should visit Shrimpy in India and get all hot and bothered by the exotic clime.
  6. I wish they could get rid of Vanessa and that "YouTube" Sensation and get a panel of Christian, Austin and Santino. Now THAT'S a show - they would be amazing mentors. I would have included Chris March but he acted like a big baby when he got Auf'd on All Stars.
  7. The editing monkeys made it look like the judges had an outbreak of major StankEye. Why bother showing their reactions? Do they really think we haven't figured out how editing works? For some reason, every shot of their faces made them look like they were personally offended by the runway show. While I have never been a fan of "Dima" and his Ice Capades designs, or jumpsuits in general, that velvet jumpsuit made that skinny model's butt look good - as a short person (!) myself, I would have chosen that look because when you are are short with a bigger bust, it is hard to find something that flatters both the top and bottom. I do think Dimitry knows how to design and tailor for that size woman. It is a shame that he has no one at his level to give us some good bickering - Michelle is the closest and she is nowhere near his level of wit though I'm sure she would like to think she is.
  8. As much as I loved the episode, that improv clip made me laugh my baked beans beans off. Not a fan of Bill Hader in person but he is one of the funniest voice over actors. Key & Peele have now guest starred on both Fargo and Bob's Burgers!
  9. I was really disappointed that Martha caved and threw the idiot traitor husband the belt. I would have preferred she dangle it in front of him and then throw it out of his reach, saying "Enjoy life in the Super Max, and also, just thinking of you dying makes my whole head smile." I wonder how those two lovebirds ever got together. They really seem like they have so much in common, like both wanting him to be dead and a love of belts.
