  1. Correct. Lord of the Flies, Season 9. Lame episode (but with lots of 'hey its that guy/gals"). But, the Rocky character and Scully were pretty funny. He keeps hitting on her and she keeps making funny faces. Here's the whole exchange: ROCKY BRONZINO: It may be the bugs are being somehow driven crazy with desire. You know, they say we humans respond to pheromones, too. SCULLY: Yeah, I tend to agree with that, yeah. ROCKY BRONZINO: "Women's dormitory syndrome." It's believed that pheromones are the reason that women who live together share the same menstrual cycle. SCULLY: Fascinating. ROCKY BRONZINO: You know, when a male and female calliphorid fly mate they stay joined for up to one and a half hours. One and a half, doctor. SCULLY: You know, Rocky ... I'm a mother. ROCKY BRONZINO: Mothers are women, too. and ROCKY BRONZINO: Dr. Scully? This is so exciting. I've never had a partner before. SCULLY: I have. ROCKY BRONZINO: I'd like to think of it as a hymenopteran relationship. Two scientists using their special knowledge reaching higher than either of them could ever reach alone. And if I may say so, Doctor, you complete me. SCULLY: I got upstairs, you take down. BUT, its all in the delivery of the very annoying (and slimey) Rocky character and Scully's expressions. ;) Bastet, you haven't watched ANY of Season 9? I'm lame... even if a show starts to majorly suck, I have to finish it or I go crazy, lol
  2. I have 3 kiddos, too. Thank God my kids are older. They just want money and gift cards and clothes! I haven't bought a thing! We did decorate the Christmas tree the other day while watching How the Ghosts Stole Christmas. Family friendly fun all around, lol. What's Xmas without blood and ghosts?!

  7. What are we counting down? Christmas unpreparedness? Count me in. I haven't shopped a bit. Fireball Hot Chocolate is way better than egg nog, though! ;)
  8. Highly possible you missed it, if you haven't seen all the sucky episodes, lol ;) O--/a--/a/ha--,/-o-to-. -ou/--o-,/-o---.../-'m/a/moth--. Moth---/a--/-om--,/too. Yes: A, T, O, U, H, M No:

  15. What are you saying? Ray Pearce has become some kind of metal man? Because that only happens in the movies, Agent Scully. Doggett to Scully in Salvage! Oh that means I have to do one, right (I'm new here, lol). I'll think of one and be back
  16. argh, the coy paternity games. So obnoxious. If I had to hear Scully say "my baby" (as in 'they're trying to get 'my baby'" or "there's nothing wrong with 'my baby'") one more time I was going to freak! Especially when talking directly to Mulder. And Mulder, referring to the baby when talking to Scully as "your baby". Annoying. And then, in S9 she's still doing it! For crying out loud, the kid has a name! And 'our baby' would be even less annoying.
  17. I know I've said this before, but I am SO LOVING Damon and Stefan's relationship this season. I recently watched some old episodes (season 1 and 2 eps) and WOW. Night and Day difference and its so great to see how far they've come and from where they started even at the beginning of the show (not to mention where they actually started as vampires). Stefan fixing up the car for Damon was awesome. I can't recall when we've seen Damon smile like that (except for that flashback with him and Elena in the rain). True, genuine happy smile (not the side-smile/smirk we usually see that indicates sarcasm or, sometimes, impending doom for whomever he's smiling at, lol). I'm getting the real brotherly-feels this season, much like I used to for Sam and Dean when they were awesome (supernatural). Regardless of where the romantic relationships go, these two guys are in a great place and its so nice to see.
  18. Finished season 8. Much more enjoyable than back in the day. Less expectations make it much easier to bear. I think my single biggest complaint is the writing. Specifically, the writers create each episode as if Mulder and Scully don't talk in between episodes! As time doesn't pass between scenes and episodes. As if NONE of the characters do anything off screen to further the plot or fill each other in on information. It's kind of maddening. We're supposed to believe M and S never talked about the sex of the baby or its origins? That for an entire episode (or a few days at least) S and M don't discuss that she's been working on the XF with a new partner? Idk why this bothered me so much, lol I still love Doggett and Reyes is not so bad. I'm easy to entertain actually, so I don't mind her. Dead alive still kills me. Poor Scully. And I still love M when he comes back and says "who are you?" Lol. Scullys look is so devastated but I still laugh at Mulder. It was heartbreaking to watch M & S and their awkwardness when M is back from the dead. He really didn't understand where he fit in, how to reconcile where he'd been and everything was changed for him and around him. Unsettling I'm sure and it was painful to watch him lash out in frustration. I still don't think I understand Nole Roark and krycek and all the different factions and what their motivations are/were. If they wanted the baby born, why were they going after Mulder and Doggett and skinner, etc? Edited to add: on re watch, Scully doesn't seem nearly as emotionally unstable as I recalled. All of her emotions and crying were very much warranted, so I don't know why I was onboard the Scully is whiny train all those years ago? Her screaming of this is not happening and nooooooo still crack me up and are way over the top, but other than that, GA hit all the right notes with me (with what she was given, especially)
  19. I asked this on the episode thread, but might be more appropriate here. I also didn't quite get the Traveler's or their whole gig, but they did use the Doppleganger's blood for their spells/for power. Right? So, could Kai have stolen Elena for that purpose? After soaking up the Traveler's magic, he realizes there's a never ending source of power in Elena's blood? Or did that get rendered useless/ used up sometime in S5 and I just missed it? Did it have to be BOTH dopplegangers together? Ugh, wish I could remember, but I'm just happy the Travelers are gone ;)
