Whenever I see her on a 20/20 rerun, I change the channel.
Nancy Grace was always ready throw people in prison and refused to listen to even theoretical opposing viewpoints. Now I'm suddenly supposed to believe she's championing wrongly convicted people? She probably put them in prison in the first place!

Nancy Grace of all people is vowing to expose wrongful accusations? The same Nancy Grace who was ready to send the "Runaway Bride" fiancé to the big house? Ah, the lure of money.

Actor Paul Benjamin has died, age 81. I remember from an episode of Law and Order playing an elder who
Spoilermurdered the man who scammed him from his home.
Wonderful performance!

MAD Magazine is ceasing publication. I am crushed. Nothing I encountered as a child did as much to develop my critical thinking skills. They taught me that nothing in the grown-up world was beyond criticism or too serious to mock. Hail and farewell.
I never was a huge MAD Magazine fan but I'm sad to see it go. However (IMO), the original MAD-TV was comedic gold! Better than SNL!

My all-time favorite scene with Tyrone and Gladys was their meeting back at the park bench after they both walked out on their wedding, each thinking they had left the other at the altar. It takes comedy pros like Ruth Buzzi and Arte Johnson to create tangible emotion and pathos while embodying what could have been very one-note characters.
Oh my goodness; what a blast from the past! Thank you so much for posting this clip. R.I.P. Mr. Johnson.

Unpopular? And then the independent streamers will offer the cooperative bundle so you can get the one show from each service at a discount price
By "unpopular" I meant many believe cord cutting is less expensive than cable packaging. Wasn't that supposed to be the great benefit of doing so? I feel soon it will prove otherwise thus being an "unpopular" -or IOW contrarian -opinion.

My unpopular opinion is soon (and very soon) being able to watch programs on all these streaming services popping up will cost as much as, if not more, than cable packages of old.

Gloria Vanderbilt, fashion model/designer, heiress & socialite, has died at age 95,

That child custody case over her was something else! It was even referenced in a (no longer used) lyric in Porter's Anything Goes ->
When folks who still can ride in jitneys
Find out Vanderbilts and Whitneys
Lack baby clothes
Anything goesStill Gloria Vanderbilt made a life for herself and it appears maintained an optimistic spirt. R.I.P to the OG Jean Queen, Ms. Vanderbilt.

I adore Evil Under the Sun for all the reasons you described. It's a big ooey-gooey cupcake of a movie and perfect in every way
I watch this until end of credits just to hear that last note played.
Honestly, if someone had a fundraiser with this version of Evil as the theme, I would snap up tickets in a heartbeat.

Well, what the hell do we do now, Odell?
Forget Midnight Cowboy. My favorite Sylvia Miles role is the acid tongued Myra Gardner in Evil Under the Sun. I watch Evil every summer. The repartee, the clothes, the scenery, that Cole Porter music! Delicious summer fare. For years now, all male main cast members had died whereas the women remained alive. Sylvia is the first of the latter to go.. So, while marvelous Cole Porter plays in the background, I raise a glass of champagne and bid you R.I.P., Ms. Miles. May Nicholas Clay wear speedos when giving you that ride to the other side.

I don't have Netflix so I'm not watching When They See Us - but I thought you all on this board would appreciate this article about the other victims of Matias Reyes - the actual rapist of the Central Park jogger, Trisha Meili. This article made me so angry - not just that the cops didn't follow up on some leads that might have prevented five rapes (!?!) but that these women are never, NEVER mentioned in the coverage of this case.
https://www.thecut.com/2019/06/the-attackers-other-victims-in-the-central-park-five-case.html
As more incidents like this came to light, I switched from "Why bring in an attorney immediately if innocent?" to "Have an attorney on hand even if questioned about parking violations."

I'm with you! Moreover, WWII seemed more 'timely' that this strong, resourceful woman could come out of nowhere to fight for democracy and freedom at a time when it was tough for women joining the WACs and WAVEs to help our troops
Alas, keeping Wonder Woman in WWII was too costly. Happens a lot with episodic TV period shows.
I'll remain silent on my opinion of The Avengers except to say Emma Peel. Emma Peel. Emma Peel.
