Brilliant post. And OMG! Alan-Michael and Gilly! You've torn my heart out all over again. *sobs* But seriously, so many couples and their organic chemistry filled stories squandered (I've lost count) because they didn't "look" like what the showrunners/execs thought they should. So glad it doesn't seem like we're going to lose this show or Crane/Abby (whether they go romantic one day or not) because of this outdated mind-set.

A flawed but fairly solid episode. Irving and Jenny (along with some fine work by John Noble) stole the show and were the highlight. The fact that Henry's death, as most of us were hoping, freed Irving was a truly satisfying moment. I couldn't help but scream, "Yes!" Loved watching Irving's body purge itself of that evil because I really didn't want him to be evul. I'm really hopeful now. One down and one to go. And with Katrina gone (and her tiresome necklace), so is Abraham.

Spoilers and Spoiler Discussion: How's Your Head?
BigEasygirl replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Sleepy Hollow [V]
If both Katrina and her spawn remain reunited in the past, I'm good with this. Then Abbie and Crane can escape back to the future. Then season 3 can start off without these two encumbrances. And Irving will have his soul back as a result Henry/Jeremy never making it to modern times. Maybe only Abbie and Crane remember what happened while everything else goes back to how it was in season 1. -
Saw this making the rounds on Tumblr. Squeeeeee!

Lmao. Man, I love Tom. The man is trying to get the lost audience back by being direct and not wasting time being coy or trying to appease the handful of Ichatrina stans. The show should give him a medal and take notes. This is how you get your peeps back.

Agreed. It's too little too late. Katrina dead is non-negotiable for me. Hopefully, they've made her evil so she's expendable and Ichy won't have to waste a lot of time grieving for her. As for Abbie being the central focus of two episodes, I'll believe that when I see it. Unless someone shows me a picture of a FOX executive standing behind Goffman (typing on his laptop) with a gun to his head as he wrote the last two epis, I just can't buy that he'll do right be Abbie. This season alone provides too much evidence to the contrary. I guess we'll see.

I watched the show last night, and I'm glad to say that it was good. SH is at least three quarters of the way back on track. Everyone's pretty much said everything that needed to be said about the great moments, so I won't cover ground that's already been tread. Anyway, I'm glad I DVR'd it for the Ichabbie karaoke moments, but the episode delivered so much more. It was a real treat to watch.

Katrina being killed off is a must have for me especially if that pissant Goffman manages to stay. Those two can't be on the show at the same time because he will never stop trying to shoehorn her in somewhere...anywhere whether it makes sense or not, and I'm sick this terrible character and the bad acting.

From Tumblr The person who posted this tweets on tumblr commented that they had no words. Neither do I.

Nicole will be fine. More than fine. All this does is give credibility to the hashtags #KatrinaRuinedSleepyHollow and #GoffmanRuinedSleepyHollow. The low rating puts the focus there, and I don't see it shifting to anyone else. Goffman and Co. need to go and so does his muse. I think FOX is getting this message loud and clear and will ultimately to what needs to be done to fix SH. ETA: Tom and Lorenzo have weighed in on last night's episode. It's chocked full of awesome shade. “Showrunner Mark Goffman seems to have absolutely no idea why Sleepy Hollow became semi-popular in the first place. It wasn’t because of the hot, whispering white lady, Mark. It was because of the two leads and their insane chemistry with each other.” http://tomandlorenzo.com/2015/01/sleepy-hollow-pittura-infamante/

It's called anti-chemistry. Over the course of my TV watching life, I've seen some extreme instances, but truly, I think Mison and Winter have one of the worst cases of it I've ever seen.

Maureen Ryan of Huffington Post was asked to share her current opinion of SH. ^You heard right. This show has become mind-numbingly bad. Charmless mannequins just walking around spewing nonsensical dialogue and exhibiting head-scratching bewildering behavior.

YESSSS! To Crane's relationship with his father being addressed at some point. I actually thought about adding that caveat to my post at the time but didn't. I echo wanting organic drama that develops from backstory and character interaction as the larger story is played out for Crane (and Abbie too). When I said I wanted no more Crane drama, I was referring to the current CFD. I'm just sick of it. In any case, thanks for adding that option. I'm really hoping for a Bobby Ewing dream scenario for this entire season. I can't tell you how relived and happy I was when Bobby, my favorite character, showed up in that shower. I know that the show was widely panned for doing it, but at the time, I was impressed with the show's admission that they'd made ginormous mistakes that couldn't be overcome any other way but by erasure. In light of SH's current debacle of a season, my admiration for Dallas' producers and CBS has increased tenfold. I hope someone has the courage and vision to duplicate that feat. eta: The current BTS/Network drama is totally more engrossing than the show, and I'm loving it. It's vindication for the fandom's and all the justifiable concerns/criticism that the writers and showrunners dissed so brutally on social media, namely twitter. So yeah, I'm enjoying them having to publically eat crow.

When I started watching SH, I watched episodes out of sequential order and was still able to keep up until I saw the other or preceding episodes. I don't think a running Apocalyptic theme precludes a new viewer from doing that. What does seem to require watching episodes in order is the ever changing and evolving fuckery that is the CFD. I still think the show can do MOW epis too. However, there needs to be some central theme or the show is going to continue to struggle with its identity and purpose, and although it won't be as bad as it is now, it's might not make it to a fourth season without some kind of cohesive narrative. edited to add quote

I think the comment that the show will be less serialized is referring specifically to SH being written like a soap opera where the supernatural elements are merely plot points that serve to drive the main soap storyline or the CFD. I don't think that comment means the show won't return to its original premise--the Apocolypse, the Four Horsemen and the Two Witnesses--but will instead rely on a Monster of the Week format. Like others, I'm hoping FOX greenlighted a Dallas/Bobby dream to wipe away this entire season and are waiting to see what the (new showrunner and writer's) storybook/outline for season 3 entails to get the show back on track.

S06.E10: Christmas Through Your Eyes
BigEasygirl replied to MostlyC's topic in The Vampire Diaries [V]
I thought this episode had some decent elements. I thought it was a clever way to get rid of the border spell. So that was something I liked. I'm actually liking Luke. He at least has some kind of conscious beyond his own well-being. Poor Caroline. I really wish Bonnie could be there for her, so I'm glad she at least has Stefan. Enzo's drama is tiresome, but I guess it gives Matt (who I like) and Jeremy something to do, so there's that. "It's all about me even when it's not" Elena was annoying, but what else is new? I did like her not being glued to Damon's hip the entire episode, so that's another plus. I cheered Kai knocking Elena out at the end so he could kidnap her. I don't think having to save Elena is going to make Damon stop looking for a way to bring Bonnie home. I think he's shown that he's not all about her right now, and even though she's in danger again, I doubt expect her plight to totally consume him or alter his focus that much. In fact, I really think that's one of the main reasons they've put her in danger. Also, Kai can use her to force Jo to submit to the merging ceremony before she feels she's strong enough to have a chance against him. I like that this is going to cause the showdown to happen quickly and keep the momentum and pacing of this story moving. I also liked the scene where Jeremy acknowledges that he misses Bonnie while she says that misses you guys. That worked for me. lol And I'm just blown away at how strong Bonnie is. I really think her time away from everyone is going to be beneficial to her character. I wouldn't be surprised if she found a way to send herself back to the future when all's said and done although I wouldn't mind if it's Damon who goes back for her because of how single-minded he's been in not forgetting Bonnie and what's due to her. I think this was pivotal episode setting up characters to go in some possibly unexpected directions for the second half of the season.
