  1. Stewie has another half-brother out there, and he was a Boston Townie. It was weird seeing Stewie revert back to early series Evil Stewie. Hell, this whole episode seemed to be a throwback to the early years. There were a ton of cutaways (my favorite being the one with Timothee Chalamet flying away in the wind in Dune)
  2. Neighbor: Boomer Bangs Middle-Aged Haircuts Exterminator: Gnat My Problem Burger(s) of The Day: Everything Everywhere All At Quince Burger I love that everyone is invested in the saga of Little King Trash Mouth. At least Linda, Tina, and Teddy. It was great seeing Mr. Huggins again, and getting down to the music! "This song makes me want to shake my potty parts!" "They're all potty parts, honey!" I really like it when Andy & Ollie get screen time. And man, I was feeling that existential dread in Bob's plot. Yeah, to be stuck in a job because you know you can't do anything else? Totally not relatable at all.
  3. So Will Forte invented pants. I was glad to see Daphne again. "Intriguing little bitch." So all of Deliria's kids want to distance themselves from her, so Stupendous goes on DnD quests to be her own person. Makes sense. And of course Deliria gets all of Stupendous's adventuring buddies killed by a titan. The Monsterdon had a cool design, but, uh, there's aliens in this show now.
  4. Title: Turkey flying through! Couch Gag: Paper Hand Turkey! I really liked the animation in this one. Future!Marge actually sounded her age. And somehow still alive in 60 years. And man, was Harry Shearer's Burns sounding particularly rough. I got a big laugh out of Quimby's Hunger/Squid Game being just the town trying to kill Milhouse. (And Milhouse happy he got picked once for something) "I grew up in a cruel world like this. Either the thirties or the fifties, whichever makes sense now." I liked Grampa in this one. The town moving the Simpsons (and Flanders!) house because they were sick of them was certainly something they hadn't tried before.
  5. Season 35, ep 7: It's a Blunderful Life Airs 11/19/23 We get the show's third ever Thanksgiving episode! Hopefully it's a good one.
  6. Anyone else expecting a white male country singer and getting...the complete opposite?
  7. Cold Open: We still going with Mikey Day as Biden, aren't we? And we've got Bowen in a costume, this time as a panda. Monologue: I couldn't get over how red Jason Momoa's chest was. I liked his enthusiasm. Masters of The Pen: Just doing silly things in front of a camera and none of them had to speak, easiest sketch in the world. Roman Empire: And here I thought the punchline was gonna be that the men were thinking about literally nothing. Of course little boys are thinking about dinosaurs. Bouncers: Marcello doing a fun accent and everyone trying to match him was fun. Hudson News Thanksgiving Airport Parade: Oh, it's a sequel to the great First Nice Day in NYC Parade sketch. We had dogs AND a kid in this sketch, to boot. And we finally got a sketch with the airplane freakout lady. I love sketches when the whole cast gets to shine. Please Don't Destroy: Thinking about food when a friend is going through a tough moment in their lives. We've all been there. "I got a prescription, and the only ramen is more fever!" WU: George Santos jokes have yet to get old. Same for jokes about Eric Adams. And what the hell was the context of that LLJ Cool J clip? I was surprised to see THREE guests tonight. So Remember Lizards was Imagine Dragons's Opposite Band? Fiance: A Cast Away sketch in 2023. Loved that the audience popped for Dismukes going shirtless more than Jason. Untold Battle of The Sexes: Since Sarah was the lead of the sketch, I was wondering what the twist was gonna be. A tennis ball straight through her stomach, and then another slicing her head off, was not on my list. Taxi: Fun, dumb sketch that was improved by having Kenan react to it. All in all, okay episode. Emma Stone hosts November 2nd.
  8. I'm disappointed that Jack Hardass wasn't Roger. Instead he tried to be the magic walls from Encanto. I just love that the Smiths trying to act normal just kept failing so spectacularly. And then the REAL Jack Hardass showed up. Was NOT expecting the Hobbit actors to be the one that kidnapped Steve. Stan's come a long way from thinking Elvish is the Jewish Elvis, and now buys LOTR props to flip to collectors. It was great seeing Buckle again and his lack of an inside voice. "Pernicious Boyd has my Precious Boy and wants My Precious, boy!"
  9. I think that's the point of the episode: What now? Rick got what he wanted, but the revenge was hollow. The show is honestly gonna explore it, and I can't wait to see where it goes. I want to see more of that nexus plane Evil Morty lived in, with all the other multiverse travelers like the Jetsons clones that kept killing each successive version of themselves.
  10. Oh man, Eyepatch Morty origins! And finally fighting Prime Rick! Man, that beatdown of Prime Rick was incredibly brutal. Now what? Apparently, next week Morty tries to cash in on his Morty Adventure cards. Wow, Slow Mobius came back just to reveals he's Rick's Uncle...and then die.
  11. I liked the absurdity of Stewie putting a minifridge in his room turns it into a college dorm room, with French-Canadian roommate. And then his party turned into the ending of The Shining for some reason. I liked the absurdity of Danny DeVito wishing himself taller from a magic mosquito.
  12. Neighbor: The Quick and The Bread Exterminator: Mare of Fleas Town Burger of The Day: The Corn Identity Burger (comes with relish) Cocktail: The League of Ex-Brine-iary Gentlemint It was great to see the Gingerbread House gang again. And there's more rich weirdos this time! So the winning formula to a good Fischoeder episode: Get him high. And get the other rich weirdos high. I missed this kind of chaos. Linda's mocktail party plot was okay, but I loved the kid's choice of nice dress. Tina actually gets dressed up, Gene wears Bob's jacket, and Louise just wears a big tie. Cocktail parties do suck, but Linda gave good advice at how to handle them.
  13. There will be more Marge episodes until morale improves.
  14. A robe was the perfect mom gift. It's a big callback to season 1 with Marge being disappointed by a thoughtless birthday gift. And for once, it wasn't from Homer! It was Bart and Lisa getting a cool spy kit they got from Flanders, and giving Marge two free branded ironing board covers (that she already had!). Having an African Grey as a kid was...a strange reveal, I'll admit. But I liked the turn that she hated it. You know, since Mike Scully wrote this, this one really felt like an unmade Duncanville episode. Oh man, Homer became a Ring Karen. All we needed was Homer confusing fireworks with gunshots. And of course he couldn't hold a candle to Agnes. Loved Lisa's daydream about the cool kids. "Now Lisa's cool and there's nothing we can do about it!"
  15. Okay, Chris Hardwick is an immortal cursed to host all convention panels until the end of time. That explains how he can voice himself. I liked the continuity of Hippocampus being the one to pick Hephaestus's lock. And Heracles "freeing" Prometheus! Volcon charged a chicken to enter, yet sold eggs. They really nailed conventions. I loved that a Redusa was a woman with a snake head and human legs, with human hair, who turns to stone once it looks at a statue. That was clever.
  16. Season 35, ep 6: Iron Marge Airs 11/12/23 And heads up, it's airing at 8:30 tonight (and I think next week, too) instead of 8.
  17. Apparently he was, back in 2018. I don't remember it at all.
  18. Finally, the strike's over! (Hopefully. Apparently SAG-AFTRA caved on AI, but it's over) Cold Open: I didn't even WATCH that Republican debate. I'll take the show's word for it. Really liked Trump showing up and breaking the fourth wall. They got Ego as Vivek, and one of the Destroy Boys as Ron DeSantis. (And wait, was this the first time one of the PDD guys were in a live sketch?!) Monologue: We can finally talk about self-promotion again! Really liked the jacket Timothee was wearing. I'm sure that Babyface rap was the original monologue if the strike hadn't ended, but they weren't gonna waste Punkie's costume. 50 Years of Hip Hop: The audience was just losing it at JAJ as Rick Rubin. Timothee was great as a the horrible streamer kid. The Woman in Me: And now a parade of celebrity impressions sketch. Then again, I don't think we've seen one of these with the new kids. I think this was an excuse for Molly to re-enact the Kevin James meme. Loved Sarah as John Mulaney. We don't need him at all anymore. I can't not love Werner Herzog jokes, and JAJ was scarily accurate as him. Was also not expecting a dead-on Bill Hader, either (that was Michael Longfellow, to boot). Shred Zone Gym: Fun, dumb, and short. It was all building to see Sarah with big biceps. The Destroyer: Tiny Horse! But now it's a cyberpunk future and he's gigantic! That was great. WU: Huh, all that weird nonsense from the beginning of the cold open actually happened. Loved the joke about "Margret, the elephant who stood to inherit everything." The SNL graphics department always seems to have fun. Heidi's bit was cut for time last week. It was okay. Sleep Paralysis Demon: Okay, who's Troye Sivan, and why did the crowd go wild over this? It proves I'm too old for this show now. Love that the straightest thing Bowen could think of was Prime energy drink and the 4th season DVD of It's Always Sunny. Please Don't Destroy: Okay, I liked the punchline of the guy jumping when he found out the boys were the PDD boys and the cut to "our videos can't be THAT bad." And the phone cracking like an egg and the guy shouting "put it in rice!" Cassidy: Troast stars in a sketch! The reveal that she was 27 was the best part. And started covid. And has a 51 year old boyfriend named Puddy. Timothee all exasperated definitely reminded me of Adam Sandler. Sleep Story: Dismukes is finally in a sketch! I feel like it could've gone on a little longer if it wasn't constrained by being a 5 to 1 sketch. I don't think anyone was expecting Alec Baldwin to show up at the end outta nowhere. All and all...this one was pretty okay. Boygenius was pretty good. And I loved the bumper showing the cue card crew.
  19. Man, it's already a week away. And it's pretty packed for me as it is, considering the Super Mario RPG remake comes out the same day, and I'll be at Anime NYC that weekend.
  20. I love that the family hated their trip to Gettysburg. Out of all things for the family to be outraged by, it's Klaus replacing a cheap, cardboard picture frame with a nice one. "And roses?! My favorite old lady smell!" Was not expecting this episode to be centered around Dick, and he's pathetic the same way Klaus is. And then they become squatters. And Klaus STILL burnt down the house in the end. Love it. I knew Tall Jeremy was real. I mean, it's a world where Santa and Humbaba exist, of course he'd be real, too, and be able to see through Roger's persona.
  21. It's such an older brother thing to do, too. Zeke knows the difference between bullying and horseplay. That's just good writing. I like stories where Zeke and JJu are bros, and friends with the Belcher kids. Tammy's the one that brings out the worst in all of them, and I'm thankful she wasn't in this one.
  22. So the secret to Rick's famous spaghetti: IT'S PEOPLE!! From people from a planet who turn into spaghetti when they kill themselves. And it's incredible. Man, the tonal whiplash considering there was a trigger warning about suicide like five seconds before that reveal. So Morty introduced the concept of Soylent Green to Spaghetti Planet and the capitalism that ruined a whole society by making it as depressing as possible so it drives everyone to suicide. But man...that ending was heavy. There's a reason we don't want to see how the food is made. We wouldn't eat it. I actually ate spaghetti for dinner, too... That tag with the vacuum cleaner people was a good palate cleanser.
  23. And we can see Rod reading a book about prop comedy in church during the third segment!
  24. I really liked the designs of the old people. It's true, old ladies are 70% pocket candy. I liked that there was this grand scheme to steal Peter and Lois's organs, and that Joe was in on it. Wasn't expecting Cleveland's legs to be so muscular. Man, wasn't expecting to hear a snippet of "The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald." It's notoriously hard to clear. Heard James Hong and Henry Winkler amongst the old people. I like hearing them in things.
  25. "In our city, we like grain with personality!" So, Tyrannis is a terrible king. But we knew that. I liked Susan Sarandon as Demeter. And what IS Deliria the goddess of, exactly?
